Matt...seems every few weeks your buying a different car..wtf?
My 8yr. boy which is the car nut...when the 5 yr. old made his comment...said, Dad..the police are going to hear you and think its a race car and you are going to get a ticket...complete opposite of what I thought he would say...

never mind I think i found it out since the 3rd gear is like 1.0 at 3300 I would be going 60-64mph....yeah

I used it to figure out speeds on my Belair...3,000 rpm for me is 55 mph

That spot is a great bass fishing place...have fished it several times when the water is up...you can actually see the the large stones, etc. when the water is up also...

just a little fyi:
your post is filled with contradictions--
daily and race car do not go together
car seat/4 year old and race car do not go together
a/c and race car don't go together
race car and $4k rarely go together
daily driver, $4k, a/c, and car seat for 4 year old can all go together
I had to post this...my five year old in his car seat, with his harness and ear muffs on would disagree with contradiction #2...after a mild through the gears, saying: do it again Daddy, do it again !!!!...lol

Sounds like some good info...what kind of horsepower and torque was that motor putting out?

well if hes doing a strong 496, then he will need a dommy 1050.

I have been looking and will continue to look for a 8.5 series 3 posi unit 28 spline. If anyone knows any one or a buddy who might have one in used condition with good clutches please let me know thanks. also looking for gears as well around a 4.11
Let me check...i may know someone..I can check Monday.also I took a 3.90 gear out of mine if that is something you might want..12 bolt series 3 richmond..

yeah but is it in good working order ? thats the question..i got one once some fuck head drilled the air bleed out and i had to epoxy them in and redrill them ....i dont even want to talk about the carb...either way.i think im the only carb guy here
Well there might be another carb guy here...I am not sure about the motor you are building now...but when you go to build that 496...let me know, i may some info for you...also check out a KB Carb..expensive but good..

Had a good time even though I didnt get to dyno....If you have never seen a car on this Dyno your are missing out...I did get my motor straightened out..

My dyno day sucked....I showed up on 6 hot and 2 cold cylinders....started on the way over....I had to leave early to figure out the problem...luckily it was 2 fouled plugs and nothing serious...

I learned from my older brother...tagged along and helped in the 60's and 70's. Still learning and shaking off some rust to remember things..Plus trial and error...if I break it, I broke my own..

If your car is stock, then you run stock. If your car has mods then you run superstock. If you have a built motor you run outlaw. Basic overview for the rules as far as engines are concerned. If you car is really fast, then elite is your class.
Get in where you fit in.
Actually, the middle 2 classes...superstock/outlaw...which is fine...I will have fun regardless....

Well now...my car would fall in one of the latter 2 classes as it is defined...If the car would hook I may have a slim chance for a race. But it is a double edged sword, car hooks lose rearend...Anyway, if I can round up a trailer, I am in.....

I haven't, but what do they do that a regular realtor doesn't do? Besides charge an upfront nonrefundable deposit? That sounds shady to me...Have sold 2 houses through a regular Realtor..nothing paid until sold...

I did something similar last summer..will you need to reinforce the header board across the front of the garage?...I took out 2 - 8 foot doors and the center support and replaced with a 17 foot door...but I had to beef up the header...
