I have a96 cobra and im gonna have a motor built unless someone has a forged one forsale. Who is the best place. I might pull the engine myself or let them do it all. Its gonna be a supercharger.build. Which dome piston should I get. Im gonna use my stock crank and block. Id like to get more torque.

Well, turns out aftertaking the valve cover off the person who installed them over torqued the chain guide on the head. The bolts where broke off but he must have left them in the head and I got lucky for a few miles. I found the bolts in the bottom of the head just hangin out. Im guessing one of the bolts got into a cam or tje chain guide moved and got arpund a gear.... Now I have to get the broken bolts out some how. What a pain.. On both ends, having to fix his screw up and tearing the car apart. Oh well, he was having a bad month.

I neef some head work on some 4v.heads. Who in town does a decent job. I had a person install heads and cams on my cobra a few months ago and he installed the cams wrong the first time and they jumped time. He said no damage was done but now I have head noice in that head. Sound like valve or lifter. I have a set of heads off the.car and i wana have them gone over and ill put those on.

OK, its an m8 1.25. I,need it about 6 inchs long. Anyone got some all thread they wana get rid of

DEalership doesnt have them. Any other ideas. Its a studs not really a bolt.

IM having problems finding a bolt I broke. Its for a 9 cobra. I need the intake bolt on the front of the intake that holds the coolant crossover pipe and the lower intake. Any ideas or ddoes someone have one laying around.

K. Got the lower Intake off. Im gonna take the blades off the imrc. I have oil on the passenger side lower imrc gasket pretty bad. I looked at the valves and the two cylinder valves that are closed have oil sitting on the tops of the valve. Of course I can only see 8 per head. If its oil from the heads does that mean valve seals? This couls be a gas oil combo from the injectors also. Im just looking for some ideas here. Hopefully this makes some since.

ITs smokes at start up and wot. To check valve seals u have to do a leak dow correct.

SO I have a 96 cobra with heads, cam, and.charger on it. When I start the car up it has white smoke out the tail pipes and a little at wot. I took two plugs wirs out and noticed oil going going down the spark plug wall and a little around the plug itself. My question is could this cause the smoke. I knoe the valve covers.have little gaskets around each plug and im pretty sure that is where the oil is from. If anyone thinks this is the issue who would wana replace them for me and how much. Ill get the parts. Tounsley ford sells them for 10% over cost.

FOr those who dont know, I have a 96 cobra with a supcharger and comp stage 2 cams. Id had the cams installed and an attempte to fix a smoking issud. Got cams and still smokin..lol Anyways, had dyno brian tune it. Made 537 hp and 425 tq. Might have been able to go higher, but with a stock bottom end and running out of fuel thats the best I wanted. I was happy with the numbers, just not with the smoke issue...

I guess I was more so looking at what other people use. He told me he used motorcraft washer fluid. Id just like to know what would be best for it. Ill then have brian tune the car for the meth.

Its got a tune. I bought the car and it had some issues. Was getting smoke out the tail pipes and thought it was valve seals. got new heads/cams and still smoked. Then did a compression test and found out it was down 3 cyl. Then did a leak down and figured it was bad rings. turns out it was bad rings but the pistons are bad also. The car has a tune just not a good one. Had dyno brian come over and get a slight tune on it to just start it after the cam install but now i have this issue on the pistons. I've got new piston/rods and are gonna have them installed. Just want to know a little more info on the meth and if i should run it or take it off.
