  1. Hah yeah me and tenpen swapped lids his was silver mine was black. I had a silver decklid on my murdered out car for like a week haha. I think that is who it was it's been some time.

Speaking of that silver decklid... Did you know that was damaged before I got it? It never has set right. There is a portion of the underside that is sheetmetal that is crumpled just a bit. It took me forever to get the trunk to sit decent, and it still will not sit straight no matter what I do. Matt (Seebs) can attest to this.

I have not damaged it myself. Hell, I barely drove the thing the last couple years since I was building the motor.

  2. I love my car because :

There are not too many like it.

I have done all of the work myself, to include doubling the horsepower and learning to tune myself.

It does what I want it to.

It was the cheapest sport compact brand new with a boosted motor.

It has 4 doors but looks like it has two.

People hate on the car with a passion over the internet, but love to give compliments in person.

The looks on peoples' faces when they get beat by a Saturn is priceless.

  3. Would of been nice form you to respond to inquiries though.

I do apologize, I hadn't been paying attention to the forums in a bit. I don't honestly remember seeing your reply. That being said, I think I'll keep it. Sorry about not getting back to you.

Just for clarification, i was not the one who left you negative rep. In case you were thinking it was me.

Also, if you still have the 9mm, it is readily available from gun stores now for around 15-18$ for a box of 50. 90$ for 100 IS a bit ludicrous.

I am pretty sure I know who it is. I'm not going to call out anybody any further though, and at this point, I no longer care.

I understand prices. Like I said, market value at the time, as I was looking at CTD.com and I was pricing my items lower than what they were offering. The 100 rounds was 115gr Remington JHP which I had bought 2 weeks prior for $100, at Bottom Dollar in Jeffersonville. I would already have been losing money on it before any lower offers or negotiating.

I am just keeping what I've got now.

  4. 9th May 2013 11:10 PM You're a fucking faggot for selling ammo at those prices and continuing this panic bullshit.

Thanks to whoever posted this that didn't have the balls to identify himself. I posted reasonable prices that at the time were less, in some cases far less, than what was available at pretty much any store.

I am not responsible for inducing/continuing any sort of panic. I just posted prices at less-than-market value. I got some PM's that were not just low-ball offers but, frankly, insulting. I was also negotiable to an extent, but not the low-ball price that was offered. To whoever you are that cannot assume responsibility, I'm glad I didn't sell to you, because with attitudes like that, I probably wouldn't trust you with a firearm anyway.

Oh, not that I am going to lose any sleep over negative rep, but to whoever left the above comment, go fuck yourself.

  6. I'm not sure why they want to keep it, but I'm pretty sure this isn't it. Radar needs curved surfaces to work properly. Imagine shooting a beam at a basketball. It's going to get scattered everywhere, but because of the curvature, at least some portion is guaranteed to bounce right back at you. Now imagine you're standing off to one side of a mirror. It's why the F-117 is all flat panels and angles, no curves.

The raised lettering may have presented something of a signature, but probably not enough to matter. And they got rid of it anyway. They're better off aiming at a headlight or something.

While your thought process is accurate, the fact is that the license plates have reflective paint on them to enable the light (laser) bouncing back towards the source. A simple test would be to go outside at night and shine a highly visible red or green laser at your plate from a good distance away. It lights up like the Las Vegas strip. As most speed-detecting equipment is heading towards laser now, I think front plates are here to stay.

What you're talking about is for perfectly flat and smooth mirror-type surfaces.

Also, radar can pick up on either flat or curved surfaces, because the radar signal itself is curved, so it needs no prerequisites to bounce back.

    Good try :)

  7. sweet.. I like the random car builds...how much powa ya making

No dyno yet. Conservatively speaking, I am expecting 400whp. People with this particular supercharger on an otherwise stock motor and E85 are making around 350whp, the highest ones so far around 370whp. Nobody that I know of has this specific setup as far as a motor build, but with higher compression, higher redline, higher boost, and more displacement than stock motor, I am wanting at least over 400.

  8. Update :

Over 1000 miles on the car now and no major issues, other than the annoying nuances that come with a motor replacement.

I had to replace the front main seal, even though the motor was put together with a new one. Not sure why the first one went out, but it's fixed now.

I had to replace my belt, the old one had 5+ years and 70k miles on it, and it just snapped off one day driving around.

Other than that, no major hiccups besides tuning, which I am still perfecting. I have found that I am out of fuel pump at 7k rpms while on E85, even with my 1000cc injectors and fuel pump rewire. I will probably order the DW300 here soon. I have also found that the intake temperatures are higher than I would like them, even while cruising. This is probably due to my selling the heat exchanger that I previously had on the car.

So, hopefully, within the next month, I will have, new fuel pump, heat exchanger, and some drag radials to actually get this thing moving.
