i have a 1911 and love it you can get a new basic one for around 500 but if you go used like to a gun show you can get some nice ones for around 500. the .357 is also a good caliber but the make and the model will make all the difference. Then while your at the range you can also shoot 38 specials in a .357 which would be cheaper to shoot but wouldnt be dead on like shooting a 357 mag. through it. Smith & Wesson and Ruger are the best revolvers for the money ( my opinion from personal expierences)

actually if you read a Z28 owners manual it sais you will not have as much acceleration in the v8 model with any fuel under 91 octane
