  1. PS3 is the original 60GB ps3 that has backwards compatibility with ps1 and ps2, the account is in good standing with the playstation network, but I believe you can make your own account anyways, if it sells I'll wipe the firmware for you anyways. Was $600 new, the new high end ones currently go for $400, looking to get $400 including 4 controllers (2 are feedback), 2 2-controller energizer charger stands, and an HDMI cable. Has original box and paperwork.

  2. Haha yeah that's I think his name is Alex, I saw his car up at Infiniti of Columbus a while back when I went up there to pick up my all season mats and splash guards.

Just spoke to IOC today and the splash guards they gave me were the wrong ones for my car, so I'm glad we didn't spray the one set lol. The guy thinks he might be able to get the other set in completely sprayed and ready to mount.

Glad to hear your Grandma's doing well :)

  3. What products did you use for the swirls step by step

I followed this guide and used these products:

    http://www.detailedimage.com/Ask-a-Pro/2005-bmw-m3-in-silver-grey-metallic/

Todd lives here in Columbus and I asked him a lot of questions and he helped a ton, he's a contributor for detailedimage.com and they have an 'ask a detailer' section where you can ask any questions you have ;)

    great job, looking good!

    Thanks!

  4. Yeah after I went out for that scenic drive the car was already covered in dirt and dust lol... but it wiped down clean again!

    for the exhaust

0000 grade steel wool and optimum metal polish, just put some elbow grease into it and then wiped it all down with microfiber. Redressed the exterior again with klasse all in one and then wiped it down after it hazed, came out nice and shiny :D

  5. Pics of my parents place:

The arsenal of everything I used (about half of it is in the box):

Many thanks to my parents for letting me kick out their cars and stealing their garage for the weekend, to my brothers for helping the entire time, to Todd Cooperider (http://www.esotericdetail.com/) for his teachings on detailing and his many how-to guides that I now hold as detailing bibles.

Sorry for so many replies to myself, just trying to get the photos posted.

  6. Here are the problems I had to deal with 100% all over the car:

Pics of myself and the two brothers helping out (and goofing off lol):

After one pass (did a total of 3) notice it's better but still scratched up:

    http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3253.jpg

After polishing I went straight into sealant:

    http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3259.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3260.jpg

  7. Finally decided that it was time to take care of the swirls in the car's paint.

Started with a wash (Brother helping in the last):

    http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3234.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3235.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3236.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3237.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3238.jpg

Then tackled the exhaust tips (Dirty and then clean):

    http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3240.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3239.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3241.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3242.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3276.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc295/carsontl/Cars/2006%20G35/Detailing/April%202010/th_IMG_3277.jpg

Then cleaned up the engine bay with P21s total auto wash and brushes:
