Also the factory oil cooler is pretty much useless unless you take the thermostat out, it doesn't open until 230-240F and wont really make a difference unless you are tracking the car.

I'd say go for it. Love mine. While i had my HPFP replaced, it never had any problems or long cranks. Carbon build is fairly bad but if you plan on running methanol it helps a lot. Have JB4, DPs, intake. intercooler and meth will be installed soon. Haven't dyno'd it yet though. Its a completely different car when modified(for the better). Very easy to maintain/diy friendly as well.

I'll be going this year again. Will be my second year attending.

Direct injection leads to carbon build up on the valves = more maintenance cost later on.

Waiting til thanksgiving to mount mine.

Mods planned are: DCI + Charge pipe Oil Cooler AR Catless downpipes JB4 or Procede v5 Methanol Injection FMIC and some upgraded brakes, rims & tires. Also upgraded(led) angel eyes. One of them is burnt out. Should put down over 400whp after everything is said and done. Going to try and get the turbo's replaced under warranty before i start modifying it. haha it's definitely not the fastest car I've owned. I'll show up as a spectator, the car's time would be embarrassing, even for being stock. Notice i made this account a while ago. But I'll be in another one here soon, don't worry.
