  1. What happened to your tail lights?
  2. What the fuck are you into that makes you think the government is going to perform some sort of EM search over the entirety of the US looking for some underground shelter?
  3. Pulling the motor and replacing the seals usually works for me...
  4. Yep, time for a catch can. Replace your PCV valve while you're at it. Most turbo cars will have a little bit of oil in the intake tract/intercooler when you take them apart, it's nothing to be overly concerned about unless there's a lot of oil in there.
  5. The MSP was a great chassis with a terrible engine. The FSDE was never designed to be turbocharged, and the mazdaspeed cars just had a factory installed callaway bolt-on turbo kit. The stock rods are done at 200hp, the head sucks, stock tuning has giant peaks and valleys, I could go on... The new VW 2.0t is an awesome motor. 200hp stock, 80 more HP is just a flash away. Give the DSG trans a chance, but drive it in manual mode. The auto program is awful. Don't get a model (Passat, base Jetta) without paddle shifters. I good downpipe and intake helps with the power drop at 5k rpm.
  6. I loved my P5, but it was starting to rust at 80k miles. It was only minor stuff in the rear fenderwells but it pissed me off enough I got rid of the car. $6k should buy a nice one. Worst gas mileage I ever got was 27, that tank had two autocrosses on it lolz.
  7. I'll also recommend meguiars endurance. I apply it with a rag and let the car sit overnight so it doesn't fling off. I scrub the crap out of my tires with every wash and re-apply, keeps it from getting that gunky look. I use a good stiff brush just for tires, this stuff tends to ruin soft wheel brushes.
  8. This is why "keyed" lugnuts are the stupidest thing ever. Anyone out stealing wheels has a lock removal set with them. The only one that couldn't get the wheels off was you, on the side of the road, trying to change a flat. My lock removal set has paid for itself 100x over. About 1 of 10 people I see loose, forgot to bring, or didn't even know they had a wheel lock key. It's even funnier when I have no problem getting them off and they ask "well what the hell do these things even do?" and I get to say "Make your new set of tires/brakes/whatever about $75 more expensive lolz".
  9. That gas mileage will be handy next time I need to rent a car...
  10. Just poke through one of the existing grommets with a screwdriver and run the wire through.
  11. If there is a hell, it'll be a place where you go to awesome racetracks to park your car and walk around. It doesn't help that I think show cars are the stupidest fucking thing ever.
  12. So, if the value is going nowhere but up (to six figures in the next ten years no less!), why wouldn't this dealer keep such a fool proof investment? What was that thing new, $10-12k or so?
  13. A friend had his explorer beater broken into there. They took the $50 walmart CD player and destroyed his driver door and dash. They left the $3,000 GPS (it's some super accurate thing for marking trees or something, it's huge) and his laptop in the truck lolz.
  14. http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/MidOhio/mr2track2.jpg Hey look it's me in the background!

    Stupid GM

Didn't they just repay the bailout loan with another government loan? Sorta like me getting a second mortgage on my house to pay off the first one.
  16. That's a lambo in the same sense that my lawn tractor is a lotus seven replica. Sure it's yellow and mid engine, but the similarities stop there.
  17. My 03 used to do that from time to time. I always fixed it by jamming a screwdriver in there and "resetting" it. It makes more sense once you've done it a few times.
  18. In response to cprolly I looked at all the sport compacts, the GTI isn't the fastest but it's by far the nicest car in that range. After the rust issues I had with my P5 and several terrible local dealer experiences I probably won't be buying another mazda new enough to have a warranty. Pics of the GTI from mid ohio, I didn't pay for them lolz: The open face helmet makes me look even fatter than usual. http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac153/skruffy42/gti.jpg http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac153/skruffy42/gti5.jpg http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac153/skruffy42/gti4.jpg http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac153/skruffy42/gti3.jpg http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac153/skruffy42/gti2.jpg
  19. Never realized the rainbow was that big of a deal. Guess I'll have to hurry up and paint in there. The rusty porsche is a '69 911s. Only driven to church on sundays by a little old lady.
  20. nobody noticed the car at the end of the rainbow in the first pic?
  21. Yeah, my shop used to be a dance studio for little girls, I need to paint. Anyway, only pics of the P5 I could find. http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac153/skruffy42/p5autox1.jpg http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac153/skruffy42/MVC-004F.jpg I don't have any digital pics of the miata, so just imagine a slammed white one with a dented fender and a whole bunch of tire under it.
  22. Met some guys at mid ohio last week that said I should be on here. I've got a '06 GTI. Pretty much stock aside from a 3" catless downpipe, an intake, and some track pads that need to come back off. http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac153/skruffy42/Iphonepics272.jpg http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac153/skruffy42/Iphonepics273.jpg I'll probably get rid of this car and get a E36 M3 or another miata or something else that's better suited to track days. In the past I've had a heavily modified '90 miata autoX car (16x8s, slicks, coilovers, etc...) and a street mod protege 5. So, uh, hi!
