  1. Unless you're pullin my chain please elaborate....You aftermarket the drivetrain?
  2. Sounds interesting, ill prolly be there.
  3. Just curious if anyone has an opinion on the best vendor to fill up at. I have heard that if you have an older car you should avoid ethanol because it will leave deposits in fuel system, mainly injectors. Any truth to that? What about anything above 93 and race gas, best locations to buy? I find that my car seems to like bp gas even though they have 10% ethanol. Thoughts?!?
  4. I cant get my 9bs to hold 14psi past 5000-5500 revs, it just drops after that. I thought that was a common complaint, think ppl on 3si mostly say to do hotwire on stock pump to help, I already jumpered the relay, you do anything else?
  5. They are soo distgusting, I hate them soo much. If I wasnt such a cheap ass theyd be replaced by now, but typically the money can be spent on non consmetic fixes. When I do get the jing I need help finding some rims that work well with the car. The moda6 wheels look nice on the cars but theyre discontinued. I dont really want to spend 400 a pop either.....But im sure I will have to eventually.
  6. Agreed. My suspension computer still works fairly well so I dunno if I want to stray from stock suspension. But I completely agree, it needs lowered so ima stop being an old man and do something about. Been lookin for a set of stocker wheels for a while now, had a seller lined up like a couple weeks ago but it fell through. I have the boost set to 11 because either my pump is getting old or not getting enough current or the rear head is getting fuel starved(due to crappy stock rail) Even with good fuel the 9bs always crap out. Youd be hard pressed to hold 15 to red line. So I wasnt sure if it was a good idea to run 15psi in the middle of my power band only to be starved of fuel or lack sufficient cfm on the 9bs to hold it. Id just hotwire that biotch but also concerned about overrunning stock fpr. Basically I want to do the fuel system all at once w/walb 255, rails, an fittings, inline guage, and nice afpr. It all because 9bs a dinky ass little fuqs... Id like to put 14bs on it from dsms as well as run 2 of their sidemounts which are alot thicker then my stock ones.
  7. Hmmm dunno for sure yet, only lived there for 6 months. Only thing I really hate is Broad st when its busy. But, you didnt take into considering that its the birth place of the tomoato, I mean come-on thats serious shizzzz. Lets see ur crappy suburb compete with that prestige.
  8. Quite possibly the best import hate I have ever heard, soooo frekin true. Thats why I tried to get something that already had decent power stock. I know, I often daydream of the money I could spend with IPS. Just a little hesitant to lose the drivibility, but if done right I'm sure itd be worth it.
  9. LMAO U Domestic guys....... Water pump is timing belt driven, I think thats the way the vast majority of imports are. I dont think I would get very far w/o my pump moving LOL The power steering is also on a separate V belt.
  10. I’m James. Car is a 91 3000gt vr4. I bought it about 7 years ago after saving up money since I was 9 years old. Got it from a 30’s something idiot (who acted like a 17 year old) that decided to put an aftermarket stereo and security system in it, as well as neon pissers….. and those shitty wheels. I got it when I was 18 and ended up blowing the motor running way too much boost for stock fuel. “ENTER FLAMES HERE” Car sat for a long time while I saved up money for an engine from Japan with about 35k on it, awesome compression 150’s all around and the turbos weren’t beat to shit. Took me 5 weeks to put the motor in on my own, was the first time I had ever turned a wrench on a car. Got lucky and the motor has been strong ever since. Since then I really got into cars. Had several more problems, mainly ECU related, took me months to diagnose, but kept learning while trying to fix it on the cheap. Ended up getting a 93 ECU from a car that got totaled and it solved all of my random ignition issues. Put a Borla exhaust on DP back, stripped the precats. Put an aluminum flywheel and stage 2 clutch in. Put a lot into the brakes, cross drilled slotted rotors (ebay special), axxis street pads, titanium backplates, and stiffening bolts. Pulled all of the A/C out and am running a tensionless accessory belt that I did some mods to that cut the compressor, tensioner, and idler out so the accessory belt runs from the crank directly to alternator. Run plugs a heat range colder then stock, and gapped tight, have a manual boost controller, run 11 psi (close to stock.) Do some data logging with MMCD and a laptop. Cars got 127k on it now. Put about 24k on this motor. Wish the car was 600lbs lighter…….Have an 88 buick regal and 99 honda accord as beaters, both have over 200k and run like champs Think that’s about it. Next upgrade I’m planning will be something called a driver mod!?!@? Its cheap and easy to install, or so I’m told…….. http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad205/newb1984/car007.jpg http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad205/newb1984/MOD11.jpg
