Seriously, I know what it's like to try and afford college and have toys..so props to you man. But...on your quote above..trust me..you don't want any of whats in my garage...and if we are playing the "I can get my buddies car....then don't even respond back bro" But good luck...me thinks the cars you got are more geared towards mid-ohio type of racing maybe?? later

Hey Pontiacfreak...I see in your sig that your Firebird is soon to be 350 powered..I've got a 434stroker that would fit nicely down in there! /wink hehe

I'm not allowed to say "welcome" yet..but I had to compliment on the grenade shifter knob...LOVE IT!

Where are you guys going tomorrow? I know that Mopar is in town and I hear that Heath road out in Hebron is the place to go for cruising nowadays. Since they put 100 cops in a 1/3mile stretch on Brice it's gone to shit. It's full of ricers, so I'm not surprised that it's gotten fucked up for everyone else. And to the author of this thread, the 20yr old punk...I'll race anything you got in the 1320 at Xenia track!

Matt, IF my order of Purple Metal Polish comes in...I think you will find it does an awesome job at knocking off that rust and giving some shine back to the metal. I'm crossing my fingers for it to come in because it's badass stuff!

Performance Auto Spa in Plain City will hook you up! They have a badass shop out there! Ask for Kevin, and tell him that Scott with the Purple Nova sent you! They will take great care of you and they are priced very nicely!

I may have at one point last year been on that road...this year not so much...been working out ALOT of bugs and haven't driven the car much. Matt...I'm kinda leaning towards a roots style blower motor on pump (93) fuel. Reason being is that my father is a roots man..and he has multiple blowers sitting on the shelf ready to go to the polishers to get the cases done and the rotors get sent out to BDS to get redone. Needless to say, it won't cost me anything for the blower itself. Just all the parts to either build the motor to handle it, or revamp mine to have low enough compression. If I go to a pro-charger, then I not only have all those previously stated expenses, but then I have to buy the supercharger as well. And then all he blow-through stuff...with roots style..I simply get two boost referenced carbs and play with the tune a bit and I'm good. But, you mentioning E85 has gotten me thinking....

And yes, I was at the show at Hooters a few weeks back...witha very unhappy car...had a needle/seat keep sticking on me...not fun!

I LOVE pan pizza....wait..you said cakes...erm...yep like those too Nah...I> got very thick skin. Grew up street racing and dealing wih guys that always want to talk shit but never put up on the street what their mouths say they got. That's the one main reason i gave it up...THAT and I'm going into the fire service and can't afford anything close to that on my record. I was lucky through all the ten years of racing that I never got caught. p.p.p.p.s - can I get in the United Federation of Awesomeness too???

Just curious...why would I do this? I've got a Nova that can set off alarms already!

Got a nice little story for old skool horsepower lovers! Was downtown Saturday night for the Gallery hop with my wife...and in front of Eleven, there was a powder blue Lambo )(ULKJDF)(U or whatever you call them. And an absolute PUTZ driving it...but I digress... As soon as he started to walk away I heard somethign breathing heavy coming down the street from up in the short north. It was a VERY heavy breathing black & blown Camaro. As he came down the road everyone stopped and looked. It sounded wicked. As he passed the Lambo, the light turned red right there on the corner and he was stopped right up against the Lambo! He thumped the throttle to clear it out and set off the Lambo's alarm...the owner came walking out to turn it off and you'd think that somone called his mom a crack head the way he sneered at the Camaro. It was great because the Camaro did it again as he pulled away. ROFL I was laughing my ass off at this putz....with his little polo shirt on! LOL Just thought I would share

Also, just so it wasn't missed in my earlier post at the beginning of this thread, the motor in my Nova is for sale. I want to build a blower Stroker motor this winter. The motor was just completely gone through this year and freshened up by Mann's Performance in Newark. PM me for details if anyone is interested. Scott

Man was that plain city show nice! Almost 300 cars showed up. It was very nice weather as well!

Hey Jim, great to see ya on here. Yep, I did get that link back last summer, and YES she was very pregnant when it came time. The little man is almost 9months now and I'm hoping to for sure make it to the track rental day. Thanks for the nice words about the Nova...and BrianZ06...that 56 sounds nice man! It does sound good. I'm going to be at the Plain City Show this Saturday showing off the car, AND selling Jax Wax, so any if you guys go, please come by the booth. Take it easy Scott

I've had 2 70's since I was 15...I sold all my extra parts and will not build another. If I build a muscle car, it will be a '71 split bumper camaro and it will be a pro-touring car. Because they just look badass. I'm hoping that with good air, in mid-september (that's first time I have a weekend free) that we can break into the 9's. I'm selling the motor so I'm only going to make a few passes and put it on the trailer. But I HAVE to see what it does before selling it. Mad Hatter Exhaust on Sullivant put the 3" with H-pipe exhaust on it and the mufflers are Dynomax Bullets and, if I do say so myself, sounds wicked. I will never go back to a conventional baffled muffler again.

I'm not able to see the calendar of events...so I'll ask on here, when do you guys rent the track and which track is it? Xenia or Trails? Thanks for the compliments guys
-
No problem...excepted! Also, if anyone of you guys is interested or knows someone that would be interested, please swing them my way as I do detailing at my place in Galloway. It's a way for me to offset the 112 octane fuel that I have to run in this thing. And, like I said above, I'm building a 434 stroker motor this winter, and THAT is going to be very expensive so anything I can make and bank, is great. I can discuss prices later if I don't get in trouble for posting this! /wink Also, I do love to help guys...and I've got alot of experience actually building and tuning my car. I'm not one of these guys that stands by the fender and is proud that he wrote a check and can launch it without killing himself LOL I'm great with carburetors....not so much with injection (not yet) Take care Scott

Nah, not questioning..I'll not say a word to anyone until my 3months are up...or I post whore it hehe And admitting that you didn't even read my post, simply got shitty with me because I didn't have the non-required pic's kinda rubbed me wrong man. Either way...I'm done with it! See ya at the show. For those that said nice car, thank you, its been a crazy couple years with it. I've built everything in the car except paint it and machine work for the motor. Doug Mann of Mann's Performance did all the machine work and head porting. It's got a Dart Little M block, Dart pro-1 heads and Bullet cam that is huge. .707 lift with 278 duration. This past winter I put disc brakes on it and rack & pinion steering (which I'm still working the bugs out of) It's gone a best of 10.51 in the summer of 2008 right before a rear-end grenade went off. Last summmer had a little one, so never got to the track and this year we added more power to the motor and put a Mark Williams aluminum 9" with 4.30 gears. Terry Eckert built Powerglide and Driveline1 moly driveshaft. This year, once I get a chance to go to the track, it's got the power and setup to run mid - high 9's on footbrake. See ya guys around!

Awww....you didn't hurt my feelings little 350z man...I just wanted to say hello becuse like I said above, pic's don't say a DAMN thing about someone. They simply show that you can either build, or buy a car No harm done, but you were an asshole and I just like to point it out to people that are assholes. And no need to link the sticky post, I read it just fine and it says that it's a good idea to post pics...not that it's required. And I planned on it..just wasn't going to do it until I was home and had more pic's to put up of the car, instead, after your lovely introduction I put up the ones that I happened to have on my work computer. I also love how you have to be a member for 3months or so many posts before you can simply say "hey, welcome, badass car you got there" that's laughable! Enjoy Scott
-
Well, to be honest man...I'm not surprised by this statement. I put in my first post that I was GOING TO put pic's up but for now, just wanted to say hi because I had a chance to. AND...I said plenty in my post that assures me as a gearhead... Instead of a hello, you tell me to gtfo....instead of answering my question about the track, you tell me to gtfo...instead of saying "Great to see you are coming to be a vendor at our show on the 15th" you say, gfto! Nope, I'd never figure out why some people on here don't like you! Because I could have just said "hey ya'll" and put up pic's...yeah, that say's alot about me huh? Here's your damn pictures... http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/zz184/sverbus/Nova1_1.gif http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/zz184/sverbus/enginebay.jpg http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/zz184/sverbus/nova_park.jpg Scott

I recently signed up on the site for multiple reasons. 1. I'm the proud owner of a '70 Pro-street Nova with a 434sbc NA motor. And it's always good to be around fellow gearheads! Some of you guys & gals may know the car, I do NOT have pic's up on any sites that allow me to link it to this thread as of yet, but I will. For now, it's the House of Kolor Candy Purple Nova that goes to all the shows on the west side. 2. I'm also a Jax Wax Distributor for Columbus and I'm going to be vending at the show that is being put on at the shopping center on Aug. 15th. Don't you guys rent the track out once a year for test & tune? My 434 is NA and runs a massive 15:1 compression, but this winter I'm building a supercharged 434 stroker :bangbang: Later Scott
