  1. I have a 2006 Dodge 3500 with 290k and Im going to put on 30k more towing across the country this year with no worries. I get about 11mpg towing out west to Cali due to the headwind and about 14 on the way back. 10k enclosed trailer
  2. go ahead and change the thermostat. Its cheap and pretty easy to do. if your thermostat is almost closing all the way, but not quite, it could keep the overall engine temp lower than normal. It will be letting very cold water into the engine. The gauge may still read close to normal because they are designed to read normal temp throughout a range of temperature, like from 160 to 200 for example. temps are approximate.
  3. My truck is at like 285k or something...I dont remember. The bullydog works well, I can get up to 25mpg not towing. My only complaint about the bullydog is that it has a setting that kills the fuel when the engine water temp gets high. If you've ever towed across the country, you know how hot the engine can get towing at 70mph with a 50mph headwind across oklahoma or texas.
  4. Also, I was pulling a 28ft enclosed with my car inside and getting 14mpg towing at around 75mph. The trailer was weighing in at 10k lbs packed to the gills, I went: columbus to long beach, ca and back columbus to atlanta, ga and back columbus to wall, nj and back columbus to seattle, wa and back columbus to cleveland and back columbus to vegas to LA to sonoma,ca back to LA then to irwindale,ca and then to the SEMA show in vegas and back to columbus columbus to reading, PA where its stored for the winter. that was my summer in my Dodge. Not one mechanical issue, even with all the miles on the truck. also, read up on Hot Shoot truckers. My truck pulled all over the country like it was its job....it actually was its job. I got the truck with a 110gal aux tank, 5th wheel, 5in exhaust, bully dog, and some other trick stuff, all for $16k for a 2006. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5125/5281495299_554edfc3e9_b.jpg
  5. Everyone who knows, chooses the Dodge Cummins, specifically the 5.9. I got mine with 260k and just put another 20k on it this summer. My other buddy has one with 450k on it. They are both manual transmissions. DO NOT get one with an automatic transmission, the auto is junk. I had an F-350 and it was junk.
  6. the only thing we know for sure is that its cheaper
  7. cool video.... That's at Toyota speedway in irwindale...last round of Formula Drift
  8. Well, I love the SR engine and the KA also, as long as its turbo. I had a KA-T for years. They both work well but I have been running a VQ35DE for the past 3 years and I love the torque as well as the readily available parts due to it being a 350z engine. If for some reason you want to go VQ, let me know cause I can really help out. I have a subframe that is ready to do for a VQ swap. Otherwise, ill keep an eye out for an SR. Whats your budget?
  9. What's up pack.....thanks again for all the tire mounting. Btw, you got any cars for sale now?
  10. I prefer the Figure Skating reference...have you seen the talent figure skaters have, they are amazing.
  11. nope, but this is fast forward to 2:00, this is the last round for 2010 at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, CA. You guys should recognize one of the guys.
  12. nope, that's called driving recklessly.
  13. love CARS...I always get teary eyed when mcqueen finally gets it at the end. PIT STOP
  14. do you have a suspension program I could use that'll work with win7. Currently all I have is one I can only run on my tiny standalone laptop....cant see shit. bring the rollcenter up, lower the spring rates, get big anti-sway bars and you're ready to go drifting......as long as its rwd, or awd with the front locked out. btw, more rear traction is better AND we dont run old hard tires or spray WD40 on them to get the car sliding....jsut an FYI. haha
  15. yeah, no physics please. My head hurts from all the anit-squat, rollcenter, scrub radius shit Im dealing with on my car. I seriously wish I was into golf or something less time consuming and expensive.
