I have to agree with everyone else. Get something sensible and safe. Realistically I know nothing of the lincoln you drive, if it still fits the bill keep it around as a daily and buy a cheap project car. Buy a miata and turbo it, or dont. They're fun either way but make sure you have a safe reliable daily first.

I was hoping you'd chime in on this thread. Good info. Looks like I'll be using the Impala harness, the GTP harness is all cut up. I plan to use the ecu from the GTP if it'll work, if not I'd heard the Regal GS tune will work on an Impala ecu. I plan to use the GTP trans since it has lower mileage and is a bit stronger than the N/A trans from what I hear. As for the axles I have the inners from the GTP so I'll make a set no big deal.

Ok.. I picked up a 2003 Impala dirt cheap that needed a motor, I initially had the intention of tossing a new motor in and reselling or potentially keeping it and selling my current daily. A great deal on a full 01 gtp dropout fell into my lap, so I'll be mating the two together. Not sure how it will go as far as ecu or tuning, differences between the transmissions, etc but I guess I'll be figuring that out as I go since I can't seem to find much information on the matter. I'll post progress pics as I go and I'll outline any problems I encounter along the way. Stay tuned..

I havent been around so I dont know the answer, I've seen facebook groups explode in popularity on my hiatus. I think the slow traffic here is probably due to that although i was super surprised when I came back to a lack of activity.

Other than the huge grille, I like it. I hope they sell well, im getting tired of seeing ls motors stuffed in rx7s and 240s

I spent a lot of time making changes in my personal life to ensure i don't end up in the same position. Now most of my time goes between work and Daddy time. When I'm not doing either of those I'm always tinkering with something. Thanks for the kind words.

I'd like to think it has. I've made a lot of changes, taken the time for personal reflection, and I feel like a different person now than I was back then.

I've had a couple cars since. A turboed na miata, a couple euros, a gsx, etc. Currently I just picked up a gsxr 750 and I've got an Impala awaiting a gtp transplant.

Ok so my crankshaft has come up missing along with a few other parts of mine. I really need a good 7 bolt crankshaft and oil pump to get my talon running. Bear in mind I was just robbed, now in the process of moving so I don't have a whole lot to spend. That being said I need to get my talon running so let me know if you've got any of the listed parts. I'd offer to help out but I've been in the middle of a transmission job, I've got a motor rebuild after that. If you need anything else though, you're welcome to pm me and I'll walk you through it.
