Crossed over 40k miles on the way. As far as a fun car, I'm down with a 350z or those 335i's for sure. I will have to wait a month or two but still actively looking for the right deal.

Don't mind Steve everyone. He works for a company that allows him to buy wholesale so he never thinks a car is a good deal. We don't all have the luxuries he does. I heard it 10-15 times while looking for an FX4.

Damn that's a lot of car for that price. I could definitely pick that up, put a couple thousand in to it and have my fun car. I am heading to Toledo at noon today to get an FX4. Can't fucking wait.

Thanks for all the input fellas. I am driving to get a 2013 FX4 tomorrow. Literally every option available, except a bed liner (wtf, they were standard?). Either way, it's a great price, they're giving me 18k for my ATS(paid 18,300 12k miles ago) and my payment is only going to go up about $100 a month after my insurance savings.

The cameras are plug in, and of course they're wireless to the DVR. So, the only wiring would be power.

Definitely man, I've found quite a few nice ones on the forums for 4-6k. I just need to pick the right one and get after it.

The thread started with me seeking a fun car under 10k, which I still am. I am still actively messaging people on CR and CL and was in talks on a 91 MR2 just a couple days ago. The thread never really changed that much. I've been looking for an FX4 for 2 months, I just made it public for the first time in this thread. The only thing that slightly changed is me kicking around getting a fast DD rather than a practical DD and a fun car.

Yeah, I think a few of you guys missed where I actually need a truck. Not trying to be a dick, but I've said numerous times I'd love to get down to a combined practical DD. Luxury cargo, truck bed where I need it. That's why I'm not buying a 10k 2006 F-150 to DD. The ecoboost fits both my needs. Now I would still want to pick up a toy (as Grant mentioned)- something like a 4-5k MR2 or similar. I know it's changed directions a few times, but my overall intent has stayed the same. Truck with something fun. Whether that's a POS truck with a 40k CTSV, or a 30k truck with a 5k MR2. Just trying to find the right combo.

Yeah, this whole situation has turned into a real cluster fuck. I'll take the roasting. As Steve said, my thinking behind the truck was that I could sell my 1500 and ATS and DD the Ecoboost, then get something like an MR2. Otherwise, I'd have 3 vehicles and since I live downtown with street parking, that wouldn't work. I didn't think that was a really complicated idea, but apparently that hasn't taken well to you all's liking.

Yeah, it fell through. Drove 2.5 hours to pick it up and it had a gnarly rotational noise. They refused to fix it so I told them to go fuck themselves. Ended up stopping Cinci for dinner, ha.

Fuck. Idk what I want. I'd love to find a black Ecoboost FX4, 2013-2015 with under 60k miles for under 30k. I don't think those year Ecoboost have the 2.7 though, isn't that a newer engine?

Looking at Dodge Eco Diesel's now. With a tune, they get killer gas mileage and would be 300/500 from the power perspective. 4 doors, 4x4, I could get down to 1 vehicle, and they're around 26k.

I bought it to more or less scare my contractors (I've had some significant theft from 2 of them, obviously no longer working for me), but I think the Nest will do that and it's more convenient to install on multiple houses. If I wasn't moving this shit from house to house, I'd keep it 100%. But right now I'm actively rehabbing two houses- I can't have this at two locations.
