If you do go GTO, you should swap the front end and rebadge the entire car as the Holden Monaro, I haven't seen that yet and it would be unique. I also think they look better, they don'y look like a souped up Grand AM! http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/news_reports/images/holden-monaro-1.JPG http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/Red_Vauxhall_Monaro_VXR_front.jpg

The Saturn is RWD, and is also American, and was made here....in America. The Redline is 260hp without the upgraded turbo, 290 with it.
-
If sticking with GM, I would say either a Saturn sky Redline (better looking) or the Pontiac Solstice GXP. They are relatively quick to begin with, and can be made to make lots more power cheaply. I would imagine that they handle pretty well also.

The way some of your attitudes are around here I wonder why? The first CR guys I met where a blast to hang out with, real nice guys. Had a good welcome into this forum and everything, but they did warn me of members that just attack people. If you treat all the new guys this way, pretty sure you won't have to worry about banning them...
-
You sir are wrong, but I give you credit for trying to insult me, pat yourself on the back and give your mom a call, I'm sure she will be proud..... First off I am in no way a ricer, the term ricer denotes people who cosmetically enhance their car with gay ass wings, neons, rediculous body kits, every shiny object at autozone, ect. Basically any thing that does not add any power, these are the guys that give all sport compacts a bad name, and yes American cars can be "riced", it has spread everywhere and luckily is dying off. Secondly, you have no reason to call me a fag, so why don't you go play hide and go fuck yourself. Its fucking gay that I try to get along with everyone, and you attack me out of know where and try to start shit. Fuck off.

lol, its not my car, but I have always wanted an old TA22 Celica, I seen this one and absolutely love it. I had it made into my sig for my gaming clan (xXx) and I just used the same sig here. It is a 1975 Australian spec Celica, here is the page of the build http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2008 This car is all day!!!! BTW, I know this just so happens to be another Toyota, but in reality I am not a Toyota fanboy, I enjoy all Japanese car name brands and especially love the vintage Japanese cars. I also like older American cars (70's back, and a few 80's like the GNX), but my main interest is Japanese cars. Toyota hasn't had any cool cars in a very long time, once the Celica turned into a girl car and they quite making the Cressida along with sweet wagons, all Toyota had left was the Supra and the MR2, now they have nothing, unless you can afford a the Lexus LFA. They need to hurry up and produce the FT-86.

I know, I know.... but I think the storms passed now....

LMAO, thats funny, but seriously, there is a lot of 7 second and under 2JZ's

If I was truly that asshole you make me out to be, I would not even begin trying to make anyone understand that the post was worded wrongly, I wouldn't give a fuck and would probably just come at you with insults, since thats what an asshole does! I have done nothing of the sort, so its pretty obvious the post wasn't done with bad intentions.

That was meant to be sarcasm.....

Than you can possibly appreciate that the MKII Supras whole suspension was developed and made by lotus, the Lotus Excel was basically an MKII Supra, down to the Toyota rims http://mclellansautomotive.com/photos/B9294.jpg
-
Support for 7ms yes, support for MKII's no! I have a choice of two exhaust systems (rabbidchimp and raptor racing, nothing fancy), very little suspension parts without fabbing up everything, barely any wheels to choose from without fitment issues, only one name brand tire left being manufactured in stock sizes, hell I can hardly even find factory parts! Koolrayz, I am not all butthurt about as you seem, I just find it ironic to call me a dick when I did not drop any name calling in the original posting, hell I wasn't even trying to be a dick, as I have told you before. If you don't like me than thats cool, I can deal with it. I try to get along with everyone and if I hurt anyone's feelings than I am sorry, I have already given my reasons for the first posting, and now you either have to accept it and move on, or act like an eleventeen year old schoolgirl and keep the drama going. I explained my side, if you don't like me than there is nothing I can do about that. I WASN'T ATTACKING ANYONE!!!
-
Ok, so lets keep this going on forever, your call, I already said I was trashed, what the fuck do you want me to blame it on... you want me to make up some fake reason??? As far as defending my car, I am not saying its the coolest car on here or even close, its still a work in progress. Yah your right, most ppl prolly won't care, and I have never asked them to. I built this car for me, not to show off, or go with whats trendy at the moment, its for me. And I am pretty impressed thus far turning a stock 17 sec car into a low 13 spending only a couple thousand dollars on an unknown platform with hardly any aftermarket parts, but hey, that's just me! One thing I can guarantee, I will never call another persons car a "turd" or shitty, its their taste not mine, I also wouldn't start a derogatory thread against another member including name calling right in the title. I wasn't talking trash about 1/4 mile cars, I even stated "Nothing wrong with drag cars", I think the way my drunken ass wrote it, I worded it very wrong and took it as an attack. Now are we done with this shit?
-
I didn't mean to come across as a douche, I actually thought it was a good idea, just prolly not a good idea to type it up in the wrong thread while I was still trashed at almost 6 in the morning from partying Saturday night! @koolrayz whats wrong with old cars? @cordell Ban for what, having an opinion or an idea? I did not attack anyone, I wasn't being a dick.

I got better times today, but I think they are gonna even get better, so I will hold off on updating for now. I did do a 13.20@110 today, but as I said, I am not submitting the slip until I see if I can do better!!!! Please remember, this is not a drag car, nor will it ever be. I drag to tune the motor (and for fun), so even if I do hit 12s or eventually 11's, my car will still take a corner FAST on a road course. This is why I won't run slicks, I still run independent suspension, and I get to keep my perfect classic interior!!! Nothing wrong with drag cars, but I like sports cars, they can do everything great and are not just stuck to the straight, Jack of all trades bitches!!!!! We should start a new thread for Columbus fastest which takes into consideration 1/4 mile together with road course lap times at a predetermined track (for consistency) or even possibly measure cornering g's combined with 1/4 mile to get your true fastest cars! This is a lot more realistic of who is the fastest.... Not everyone drags, you know Japan has Touge which is either one of 3 things, lots of power (drag style), great handling cars (at low HP, which can and have won), or the perfect combination of both. Think going in a straight line takes a lot of tuning? Try taking the same power and also make it handle a corner, so many trade offs, and its really fun stuff! Then again, if you can't make your car good at it, then you will scoff and laugh at the possibility of faster cars set in a real life scenario....

I am running the AEM tru-boost which allows for a scramble boost button to be hooked up. Now I know scramble is good for road courses so you don't power out of a corner at insane boost amounts, but has anybody tried it for drag racing? Correct me if I am wrong, but here's my idea, I cannot launch well on street tires without spinning way to much. So if I set my regular boost levels to 7 PSI (factory), launch and then get her into 3rd gear and hit scramble boost at around 15 PSI. Anyone try this, do you think it will work? As of right now, I am launching around 15 PSI.

I'm thinking $800 in go fast parts, perfect sleeper!

Make it fast, fuck looks! No matter what your ride looks like, you will have more fun and gain more respect if it is fast! COlumbus Racing, not Columbus Cosmetics!

The company that I accepted the bid from was very reliable and time consistent. Like I said though, this is almost like a reverse ebay auction, so the shippers who are bidding will all be different companies with different reliability and time managements. But thankfully, just like ebay, the shippers have feedback scores and almost all of them leave you with their phone number when you bid. I just check their feedback, call them and asked them if they will insure higher if needed, and they usually fit your needs with no problems. I have had nothing but good experiences, but do make sure you do your homework and check their ratings.

Theres some pretty clean Z31 300zx's left out there. The engine bay on these cars will accept almost anything, and you wouldn't have to worry about everyone owning a Z31 let alone an LSX Z31!
-
I always used the website "uship". Its like ebay, but reverse bidding. You list on there what you need transported and how much insurance you need on it, and shippers bid and keep undercutting each other until you are satisfied with a price. I was very impressed with this website.

Rotary Engine Assembly Tonight, Nothing Special...
ihateu3 replied to KD93R1's topic in Pics and Vids
there is a rotating rotary diagram here showing everyone how it works, simple... yes, ingenious YES. I cannot fathom thinking this engine design up myself... http://auto.howstuffworks.com/rotary-engine4.htm
