  1. thats awesome. post some pictures of the car and the motor if you can
  2. this thing is sweet no doubt. after reading up and searching some cars on the internet, the coupe can be a pretty potent car. still haven't driven one though and prob wont till it comes time to upgrade the is300
  3. real clean car, seen it in person. good luck with the sale.
  4. Found this article, might help... http://www.autocross.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=46
  5. This is something that I would put my money towards if the motor swap ever comes... http://my.is/forums/f172/il-2001-2jz-gte-swapped-msm-is300-15-000-a-410224/
  6. they are out there. a guy on my.is was one of the first guys to do it and it was a clean swap. didnt seem like he had to do TOO much to make it work besides the brackets. he tracked it and got great numbers with a stock LS3 6.2 motor. The car pulled out 440whp. He eventually built it and made some real good power for a car like that. the car is now for sale. "IS300 curb weight is listed as 3255 lbs (MT) / 3285 lbs (AT) Corvette curb weights are listed as 3300 (GS), 3175 (Z06), 3350 (ZR1)" swapping a motor of that magnitude with that weight is a serious gain all around. http://my.is/forums/f219/building-ls3-6-2l-440rwhp-n-powered-is300-update-drag-vid-last-page-420425/index4.html I would personally go with the 2jzgte if I was going to swap a motor into mine. the motor is toyota and fits in the engine bay very nicely.
  7. I agree with you on OSU PD but with their K9 units I believe they help CPD with runs in the off campus areas that are off of high street. Off campus (summit, 14th, 15th, 16th etc) are all covered by CPD by the 2nd and 5th sub stations. They do runs with OSU when parties are involved and students of OSU are involved in the situation. I recently heard that OSU has jurisdiction of any road because they are run by the state of Ohio and are under state pay, not city.
  8. Northern Michigan is my favorite place at this time of the year. Great golf if you guys are golfers and the lakes are amazing. Beautiful views and you could even go anywhere for Lake Michigan (Holland).

  10. Once I'm done with OSU in the fall, plans are to get a set of coilovers first and a more aggressive set of wheels. Down the road though, ultimate plan would be a SRT 2.75 kit The car is an auto. Would of loved to get a stick but at the time there were no sticks with the miles that this auto had to be bought. Thanks for the welcomes and im looking forward to future cars and coffee meets and to bring my car out. FYI: my garage neighbor is Kim (dont know his last name) but he had a white STi with a lot done, then a silver E55 amg and recently bought a c5 Z06. I know a lot of people know him on here.
  11. My name is Taylor and I'm from the Dublin/Powell area. I'm a student at OSU and will be done in December. Heard about CR when I went to cars and coffee this past saturday with my dad in his 2011 White Grand Sport. I drive a 2004 GGP IS300 with some mods done to it. I'm active on My.is and Clublexus.com but have not met an is300 group here in columbus. If you are out there let me know haha. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee512/jversluis1/Lexus.jpg -17x7 Drag DR-9 rims w/ Falken tires -Altezza three bar grill with red emblem -Joe-Z intake w/ aFe power filter -Ebay strut tower bar -Fog-light mod -15% tint -Debadged trunk besides L emblem -LED's for license plate lights -Red calipers with Lexus emblems in white -Honda Element Antenna
