I should be free that day, I'll swing by in the M5. If you have an open spot Brian, I'll throw it on the dyno. What time are you planning this for?
-
On a side note, I was at Brian's shop 2 weeks ago with the M5 on his dyno. He is truly a good dude. I need to stop by there, I left one of my extension cords over there. LOL.

I was referring to a thread on OBc where this whole childish argument started. A mod cleaned up the thread, then I requested it to be deleted since it was a dead subject anyway. Drag racing apparently isn't cool enough for the BMW crowd.

Doc, you car is AWESOME. Thank you for coming. It drew a lot of attention! http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h426/SquashE30M3/Timmayfest%202012/z013.jpg Yes Jones, there were a few Audis there. I must have been eating lunch when they showed up or I would have not let them in....... (Sarcasm, if you missed that.) Granted, they were some pretty ghetto Audis, one of them said he couldn't join us for the police escort/dinner because his headlights didn't work? WTF? They still got into the meet. It would have been nice to meet the Jones in person who apparently isn't the asshole he portrays online? That's just what I've read....... Not that I know that for a fact. Anywho, we had a great time at IPS Friday morning/afternoon, which is an AWESOME shop BTW. We then continued the fun at MCIR on Friday night even though it was 90 degrees, and had great weather for the meet on Saturday. In the end everyone was friendly, except for a couple of Cobra replica guys (I think they were Cobras) who were pissed about having to park out back. We also managed to raise $3500 for The Wounded Warrior Project®, an organization I am very proud to be donating to.

I have been told that if these Kevlar clutches aren't properly broke in, you will glass them over very easily.

Lol..... Well, that does it for me I guess...... Take care gents..... Apparently you all think I am too snobbish and a prick to be here. So be it.....
-
I'm not here to argue. I'm married, I get enough of that at home. I will just clear up some questions.... I never even claimed to be "better" than anyone. Check every post I've made. If you can point me to where/when I said that, I will gladly have it deleted or changed....... Where is my elitist attitude? Because I hold a car meet centered around BMW's? You guys act like I rolled in here holding a tea cup with my pinky in the air talking down to people. I DID NOTHING OF THE SORT. Not to light you up here Jones, but everything was peachy until Jones got bent out of shape about my car meet. I guess the guys that hold Import Faceoff are elitist pricks too because it is centered around Imports? Seriously, think about how many Corvette meets, British Car meets, Nissan Z meets there are. Why is this one any different from those? Because of the type of car and the stereotype that all BMW owners are pricks? Come to my meet and walk around. Talk to some of the people there. I GUARANTEE you will lose that stereotype. I never claimed my car WAS an exotic. Again, check every one of my posts, if you can point me to where I said that, I will have it changed or deleted. Timmayfest is for BMW's (not exotic) MB's (again, not exotic) and then Exotic cars. (Lambo, Porsche, Ferrari, etc) Once again, check every one of my posts and point me to where I said ANYTHING negative about ANYONE'S car. I will have it changed or deleted. So far, some of the members here are the ones bashing my car, claiming I did the same. I like BMW's. I guess that makes me a prick fag. So then it must mean everyone that likes American muscle are redneck hillbillies? Tell that to one of my best friends (1970's 800hp Nova), he would be quite upset about that. The reason I chose to own a 10 year old BMW is because I absolutely love the E39 M5. Could I afford a newer E60 M5? Sure (not read as I am rich btw) I just do not like how BMW has "softened up" the E60. Why do people own a "grocery getter" hatchback/wagon WRX? (not read as a knock on a WRX) Because they love the car. My neighbor just bought a brand new WRX wagon with a ton of performance equipment on it. That thing is badass. Would I own it? Nope, not my cup of tea. Do I respect that fact that he loves it? Yup. He took me for a ride, that car is WICKED. Will he be bringing it to my BMW meet? Nope, he understands that his car doesn't fall into the category just as it doesn't fall into the category of a Corvette meet or a British Car meet. I will be 35 next month. I have been married for 13 years and have 2 daughters. I am a reliability technician (thermal processing machinery mechanic) at a factory. If you would like to know anything else personal, please email or PM me...... I don't have a problem at all with CR. It does seem however that people manifest ideas about things they THINK I have "said" when nothing of the sort was every claimed...... Fixed Yes, it was quite embarrassing. /explaination. Continue bashing the "elitist, snob, prick, gay, fag" now if you wish.....
-
I LOL'd. Mission accomplished. Win......
-
I was in Ninja mode. I like being a Ninja Bitch...... EDIT: It got what I came for though, right? CR didn't disappoint.....
-
I'm glad my hazing into CR is so interesting to everyone! LOL......
-
Blacks are ok, but not the Jews. Hello? German car show? Jews? Seriously? LOL. (more sarcasm)
-
Both. Is that wrong? This forum has a reputation for mass amounts of LOLZ. I wanted to see what the buzz was about. I do know some car stuff I could share too I guess...... (That's called sarcasm.)

I took the M5 there to have the mufflers deleted. They let me work side by side with them getting everything lined up straight. The tack welded the piping, let me align the tips in the diffuser, then finished off the welds. If you want to use stainless, (I did) you just have to give them a couple of days notice so they can be sure to have it there when you arrive.
-
If that is how you want to interpret what I type, so be it...... I will give you my example...... A kid who worked for one of our sponsors asked me if he could bring his VW that he had been working on for a few years to the meet. He said it would fit in perfectly with the rest of the cars. I said sure, no problem. The kid shoes up with a mid 80's VW that had rust and parts hanging from it, and a half finished turbo kit with no exhaust at all on the car. He also brought 10 of his friend ricers with fart tubes and neon lights hanging from the under body. Drama followed. THAT is what I am trying to avoid. Like I said, if you want to discuss this more, get a hold of me. I am obviously new here, I still have to learn who is who and what they drive........ Nice ninja edit BTW..... Audi's and VW's ARE a grey area. See above story.
-
Not surprised this discussion would upset people. *sigh* Your post is NOT AT ALL what I said....... I NEVER compared you car to anything. If you want to discuss this, feel free to message me or email me.
-
Absolutely. I will definitely join you guys. The "cool club" as you put it, is just trying to keep the "boy ricers" from getting tangled up in our "adult" weekend. It is not meant to offend anyone. That weekend is not just about putting cars in a parking lot and standing around. We plan other events, lunches, and dinners that weekend. It is about the people who attend as well as the cars. I have made VERY close friends over the last 2 years from that meet. Most of the people attending are 35+ years old, and have over $100k wrapped up in their cars. Throwing a bunch of 18-22 yr old Honda, Acura, and VW owners in the mix ends up with a nasty bag of attitudes. I am NOT trying to offend anyone here. I have as much respect for those Honda and VW owners as I do the exotic owners, it is just 2 different worlds. I'm not trying to crash those worlds together. I will be attending both Import events at NTR this year. Last years event was a blast.....
-
If it is a BMW, MB, or an exotic, sure. Bring it to the track the weekend of my event. You will have plenty of cars to play with.
-
Agreed, that was only his 3rd time going down the track. Ever. I like being under his nuts though, nice and warm there. Thanks for your concern......
-
The car weighs around 4200 loaded with driver. Then you would love the E39 540 with the SC'd LS swap putting down 700+hp that comes to my car show. Excellent. I hope everyone had a good time. We should be over 300 cars this year....

My name is Tim, I live in Columbus, I own a 2001 BMW M5 which is currently undergoing surgery having an RMS stage 2 supercharger kit installed at Buckhead Imports in Atlanta GA. I will have the first E39 M5 RMS production kit. The owner of Buckhead Imports has the only other kit in existence, which was hand made. His car is putting down 535 RWHP on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno and 625 RWHP on a DynoJet Dyno runnning 11.73 in the 1/4 mile. Hopefully my car will be able to produce the same numbers. I also organize a BMW/Mercedes meet every year in June which includes a drag racing event at MCIR. (Only BMW, MB, and other exotics are invited to attend) I am a regular on many BMW and Mercedes forums, but figured I might as well join up here as well. Below are a few pictures of my car. http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n58/Timmy273477/Car%20Stuff/IMG_8950.jpg http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n58/Timmy273477/Car%20Stuff/IMG_8956.jpg http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n58/Timmy273477/Car%20Stuff/Mzg4NTM0NjE1OV9iMzU1NGVjZWI0X2IuanBn.jpg Before the new wheels.... http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n58/Timmy273477/timmay4.jpg Here is a picture of the Buckhead car, which mine will soon look like..... http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n58/Timmy273477/1323260250.jpg
