    groupon?

    It's a one deal a day, gramps.
  2. Indeed. I may have to switch camp; although, come to think of it, I don't have any brand loyalty anymore.
  3. I don't suppose your wife was driving.
  4. Thanks I have second thoughts about 200-mph Mustang though. Truly, 200 mph in a Z06 is okay. I squirm at the idea of 200 mph in a Mustang. Of course Brady of PPC went 180+ mph and he came out unscathed.
  5. Well, it's obviously 2 points without vaseline. The goal is how to get out of those now.
  6. This thread is too slow, I want the end result NOW.
  7. Didn't think it was that old. I'll send a PM.
  8. I'm looking for a pair of '5-'7 Corvette OEM rear wheels (19x10); silver only. They must be in near mint shape; never repaired and no significant imperfection. Will pay up to $150 per pair pending condition. Please use PM. Thanks.
  9. I love the GHiG '13 B302. Too bad the the SBY is the Boss-exclusive color, it should have been the GHiG. The color is so vivid with a golden sheen; it needs to be witnessed in person to appreciate. I took this picture myself and it doesn't even present 80% of the way the color pops. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk247/2003BlackZ06/Photo0432.jpg
  10. Thanks guys I picked up the car Dec 3 and it basically went straight into hibernation. The car has under 500 miles on the odometer; all street miles. For now, I don't have any plan to put it on track duty; autox, road course, or otherwise. Hell, I'm still unsure why I bought it So far, I can say that it does not drive and feel like a Mustang at all. Gone are the uncertain, suspension-by-jell-o, underdamped, and side-to-side shimmy feels. It drives in a tidy, tight, quick, and proper manner. It's scary to think it behaves almost like the Z06. If you didn't know what rear suspension you got, you couldn't tell it's a live axle. The engine is a gem and it revs to 7,500 rpm. It's smooth and torquey from the get-go. I love the way Ford equipped the interior; it's almost spartan in today standards. There is no climate control (semi-old fashioned single-zone AC and heat), no fancy navi/satellite radio/changer, no power seat, no auto headlights, no DRL, etc. I'm debating getting the TracKey which reduces the powertrain warranty to 3/36 (from 5/60) and gives a dealer an excuse to skip on some warranty work. Mods will be mild and few as my focus is mainly on the Z06 and the Solstice.
  11. Thanks You meant Laguna Seca package ? If so, it doesn't have a Laguna Seca package which I consider not worth the extra cost. Mine does have the Recaro and Helical Diff (i.e. Torsen) package. Laguna Seca Boss 302's come only in black or silver; both colors have red accents and red wheels.
  12. As you wish. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk247/2003BlackZ06/2012%20Mustang%20Boss%20302/Photo0398-1.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk247/2003BlackZ06/2012%20Mustang%20Boss%20302/Photo0395-1.jpg And here is one used on the cover of a JEG'S catalog. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk247/2003BlackZ06/2012%20Mustang%20Boss%20302/Boss302onJegsCover2569x800.jpg
  13. I'll give you a ride once it's out of hibernation in about 4 months
  14. A pretty truck; I like the way it looks.
  15. Yes sir, I still do. No Mustang will ever replace a Z06 in my book.
  16. This arrived yesterday. It's commonly called "Boss Owner Kit"; little doodahs that Ford sends to new Boss 302 owners including a letter. The key fob is engraved with the car number (2057). Apparently my car is #750 among competition-orange Boss 302's. I love Ford nowadays; I bought a much higher-profile car from GM and they are nowhere near Ford when it comes to customer relation. Ford even extended my Autoweek subscription for another year. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk247/2003BlackZ06/2012%20Mustang%20Boss%20302/IMG_1193-1.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk247/2003BlackZ06/2012%20Mustang%20Boss%20302/IMG_7525-1.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk247/2003BlackZ06/2012%20Mustang%20Boss%20302/IMG_3818-1.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk247/2003BlackZ06/2012%20Mustang%20Boss%20302/IMG_2564-1.jpg
  17. I'm running my Silverado, so I don't mind getting beat by a TBSS SUV ...

I feel left out for not getting a hatemail PM ...
  19. To quote one of my favorite professors when I was in college, "it depends where you want to put your money". This mindset is arguably the biggest hurdle (if exist) in getting a luxury item and is a very commendable trait which most people don't have. If you are following this route, please be aware that there is also that cliche "a penny wise, a pound foolish". I can give out examples, but I'll leave it here for now.

    C5 Z06

I hate the multitudes of electronic in C6; it's bad enough in a C5 but it's even worse in C6. I'd pick the C5 Z06, it is also lighter than a base C6 (my '3 Z06 weighed 3,080 lbs). There are always electronic quirks haunting these cars and I'd rather deal with those of a C5.
  21. I don't know where to start. I own all the cars you mentioned (except a TA and a supercharged CTS-V) and I have a plan for a CTS-V wagon for much later this year. I do know that, personally, if I would to get a '10+ Mustang GT, I would get one with a manual transmission (plus Brembo brakes and 3.73 gear).
  22. Cordell is fast and salty tonight ... :lolguy:
