That segment I have very little knowledge about. My nearly-daily route is between Polaris Pkwy and County Line Rd. Sometimes I venture north up to Worthington Rd.

I drive on Africa Rd nearly everyday. Which segment? It's a long road with different settings.

My end-of-hibernation period is determined by the number of heavy rain since the last salt application, daily temperature, and the date I want to drive a certain car; not all come out at the same time. There is even a possibility that a car will go into temporary hibernation in the middle of summer.

A C4 is still part of Corvette history. There are individual units worth mentioning (especially the extremely elusive 1983 model year) and, to some people, collecting. In the last few years of C4 production (namely, once LT1 was introduced), the model had quite some improvements that I preferred it over any offering from most of other makes. It may seem archaic compared to the C7 or even a C6, but any later generation has a root in it.

Yet you had to mention it; sibling rivalry ?

I know a couple commercial welders from back in the days, both are mobile but I'm unsure if they would take a small job like that.

I've done that exact scenario a couple of times in the past and I've decided that the stress and the risk aren't worth it. Even if I could pay cash for it, I'd use my credit union just to avoid that headache. The last car puchase made me more than happy to pay the loan fee.
