    COOLDOWN PERIOD/RETURN PROCEDURES

After the vehicles return from the road tour, they will return directly to the designated staging lanes for the cool-down period. They may not change tires. The cool-down period will typically last between 15 to 45 minutes. During this cool down period only, entrants may adjust tire pressure (add or remove tire pressure), install fresh nitrous bottles, install ice in their intercooler (only if located in trunk, rear hatch or rear seat area). A strict CLOSED HOOD policy will be in effect until a competitor has completed his or her three back-to-back passes. No re-fueling allowed once car leaves on cruise. Engines must remain turned off during entire cool-down period. External cooling of engine by any means (cold water, outdoor fans, etc.) prohibited. Any engine changes, repairs, or adjustments (changing rocker arms, carburetor adjustments, etc.) prohibited. Changing of tires prohibited. No laptops in vehicle permitted at any time once the first of the three back-to-back passes is initiated.

    RACE FORMAT

When called to “load up” in the staging lanes, all True Street competitors must report to their cars and prepare to make three back-to-back quarter mile passes. All hoods and deck lids must remain secured, as they must remain closed until completion of all three passes. Vehicles with

air-to-water intercoolers may not add ice to intercooler tank between back-to-back passes, even if intercooler tank is located in interior of vehicle.

    FINAL STANDINGS

After all three quarter mile passes are completed, each racer’s ET will be added and the average of these three passes will be computed. The outcome of the 3-run average will be posted Sunday morning, and the awards presentation will be held Sunday. On a qualifying run, if a contestant properly starts, stages and receives the starter’s signal but breaks to the point the run is not completed, a time of 28 seconds is issued and it is considered a valid qualifying run.

    CREW MEMBERS

Crew members are not permitted around participating vehicles, in the staging lanes, or in the burnout area, between rounds of competition.

    BACK-TO-BACK PASSES

Tire pressure may be checked in the staging lanes, or between rounds, and may be lowered. Air may not be added to tires any time during the back-to-back passes. Vehicles are required to make three full passes in order to be included in the final average ET tally. All vehicles must run three passes in the same order as the first pass, any attempt to gain additional cool down time between rounds will result in disqualification. The only possible exception to this rule is the use of a parachute, if required by vehicle speed. One crew member can be placed in the staging lanes to aid in the re-packing of a parachute, however, chute must be re-packed in a manner so as not to be disruptive to competition rounds. There will be a separate staging lane designated for any vehicle needing to re-pack parachutes. Any vehicle unable to start under it’s own power will be disqualified. Once all rounds have been completed, prize money and awards will be given based on the final average of all three quarter mile passes. During, and in between, the back-to-back passes, no changes may be made to vehicle other than lowering air pressure in tires. Fresh nitrous bottles, fuel, and ice may not be installed/replenished. Vehicles with air-to-water intercoolers may not add ice to intercooler tank between back-to-back passes, even if intercooler tank is located in interior of vehicle. Driver is the only person allowed to push vehicle in staging lanes between runs.

    WEIGHT BREAKS

    There is no minimum weight.

    CLASS & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

It is the participant’s responsibility to familiarize oneself with the class requirements as found in the 2012 NMRA rulebook and the safety requirements as found in the 2012 NHRA rulebook. The participant agrees that the participant bears the ultimate responsibility at all times to ensure the safety of participant’s vehicle and to ensure that participant complies with all applicable NHRA & NMRA rules.

The participant agrees that participant is in the best position to know about the construction and operation of participant’s vehicle, equipment, and clothing, and whether there has been compliance with all applicable NHRA & NMRA rules.

  2. True street typically has a 30 mile cruise to prove street worthy. Then you line up and make 3 back to back passes without cracking the hood at all. You may put air in or out after cruise, but once you make first pass only air out can be made while waiting to make next 2 passes, still no hoods open. You may not add ice to inter cooler or have a laptop in computer while making passes. They then take a 3 run average and award the fastest then 9s 10s 11s 12s 13s 14s 15s winner. Here is a link to NMRA Jan 2012 for the result at Columbus. I won the 13s class.

  3. There is some stuff you sprinkle around the house it looks like corn meal, but it is poison they won't be back as long as you use it in the spring and in the fall.

Buy a couple of the green oneshttp://www.pet-dog-cat-supply-store.com/shop/shop_image/product/4362a276fb14f57b6c37626d7d7b7707.jpg

and spread around the house and in they yard near their holes, but I use it by the house now that I have been using it for awhile. I can be bought at Home Depot or Lowes around 15 buck per. I need 2 or 3 when I spread it around my house, but this works well.

  4. We rolled out to Iraq with m16a2 with iron sights and flak vest only, we got interceptor vest about 6-7 months into are year long deployment. I was Active Duty, stationed at Ft. Campbell, and it looked like some Nam Vet's came off a plane with Desert Cammies, with all of our old stuff. It worked though, as did our 155mm M198
  5. Any Expertise on this field?

I went clay shooting for the first time today, and had an absolute blast. I'm addicted right away...

I shot a 870, it was very comfortable. It seems like this is the route to go (not the mention they're cheap)

Anything else I should need to know? I figured it'd be a decent gun for HD as well (with the correct ammunition), is this a solid assumption?

I shoot 870 wing-master for clays hit 19 out of 25 on Easter. I use a Mossberg 930 spx for home defense.

  6. This post snuck by me.

    These are my EDC knives.

Left Kabar Becker BK2(hiking fishing carry knife)

Center SOG Seal Pup (same as above)

Right SOG Trident Assist (daily carry never leave home without it) Has a seat belt cutter and glass breaker.

I will post some more pictures later.

I enjoy using my seal pup, I bought it before deploying to Iraq. I will have to remember to post gun and knife pics.

  7. Who cares what it looks like as long as it is accurate?

    Just my though...

    KillJoy

Agreed, if you crack open a case on the range, while in the military they are not shiny brass like they just came from a factory. They are reloads, that look like they may have been wiped off at best. They typically look like they have been reloaded more than once, as the brass near the round itself starts turning blue from the repeated heat cycles.

  8. It was more just for fun, trying to get some folks out there that are new to the sport was trying to keep people from getting discouraged and trying to keep the cars in the daily driver range most cars that have cages are 11.49 or faster or seriously posing. Plus keeping the cars close to the same times going down the tracks makes it seem like it is competitive even though your racing the clock.

If you want to run let me know. I will just kill the no cage rule...

  9. Hey,

Looking for 10 to 12 Mustangs that run around (11.5 and up no roll cage) if your serious about wanting to run possibly 11.49 and lower, no electronics, preferably run a manual to run in a Mustang Class. It will either be a typical bracket race or index I'm not sure leaning more towards index 11.5, 12.0, 12.5 and 13.0 possibly 13.5 and 14.0 just to balance it out. If it it is index you will run the index closest to your best TT. That is what I'm leaning towards. Although I like this I may still go with typical bracket race, the goal was to get some Mustangs together to have fun at the track.

Please send me a PM. I will send you the details.

This will be ran during the Import Face-off at NTR. If I get enough drivers. The cost is 30 dollars. I need to know in the next few days, so I can give Hybrid Entertainment a call back.

This may become a domestic class, TA, Maro, Mustang, GTO. With the same style and rules mentioned above.

  10. btw you forgot to post your gun collection. We've got a huge gun crew here..

Here on the FOB we shot up a illum parachute flare and a white flare tonight. The Illum was cool, but didn't last as long as we hoped.

The brother in-law and me are use to much longer burn times for illum.

The GUNs are on the channel under GUNS I think. My playlists need to be updated again though.

  11. BUT IS IT FAST?

11.98 at 118+mph was the best ET last year.

Getting ready to tie the frame with sub frame's and a k-member brace and add Upper and Lower CA with Adj panhard. To prepare for a Kenne Bell at the end of this year possibly sooner.

  12. no idea.. if only he would have posted a youtube link in his op with a 1/4 mile time.

Lmao, he is one of the moderators here, look at the bottom, you know I don't leave home without my YouTube.

Should bring up my Youtube Channel and Auto play me dusting off a 2011 CTSv.

  13. wuddup

Nothing, just had tires off the 2011 and realized that I need front brakes, instead of rear brakes which I ordered and have in the garage. The clip chirp sounded like the back passenger side, but it was the front passenger side. I will save the rears for some other time and replace the fronts, I hate that chirping noise.
