  1. Hey grant yes I still need one. If it’s not a huge hassle that’s be great, otherwise I might buy one.

Thanks for the thought let me know.

Sorry for the late response, forgot about this.

I just texted him again and he said he broke it and "didn't think I needed it anymore" so never bothered to tell me so yeah. If by some miracle this fucko replaces it i'll hit ya up and meet up with ya if you still need it.

Mine was an eastwood and it worked really well. I've heard if you get too aggressive with it they will break, I guess i know what happened to mine...

  2. Denver itself is a filthy shithole. The mountains outside of Denver are glorious. Do what you can to get out of the shitty.

Bro wtf it's liberal run. Homeless everywhere, needles everywhere, figured you'd be all in.

I went, I p much blacked out after making this post and still recovering. Dtwon denver is hopping, Federales was hopping, I won enough on sports betting that I can cut a mortgage check for every month next year. 10/10 will go back and take a water bottle sprayer for the homeless to stay away.

  3. OK so bumping this.

Still haven't picked up anything. Not sure WTF is wrong with me but anything I test drive I'm sure I will love I've gotten out of saying "meh"

Am I just becoming a boomer and losing my interest in cars? Driven everything from a GT350, C5/6/7Z, GTR, S4, Golf R, (obviously all way above initial budget, but I was getting concerned about my interest in cars) half dozen others, not a thing has left me unable to leave without buying it.

    Any ideas?

  4. Not to Hijack the thread or anything (but I will), I just bought a 99 Jeep Cherokee with the 5.9 in it mainly for hauling the Fiero to the track and back. Max towing weight is 5k. Fiero weighs 2800.

Planning on either using a Uhaul trailer or buying one eventually. Generally the 16' trailers/uhaul ones are what. around 2k lbs? add in 3k for the fiero and that puts it right at 5k. Should I worry about either A: upgrading brakes on the Jeep, B: get a trailer that has brakes on it? It already has a hitch on it, just now looking to see what kind of ball/drop/raise/whatever for the towing part of it. Straight? Drop? Raise? Never owned anything before that would tow anything let alone a truck/SUV like this.

Opinions are welcome. Not planning on doing anything until the spring so I have time.

U hauls trailers are insanely heavy (2,210 lbs. per their website) and you are going to be pushing the limits A LOT for that thing. A unibody vehicle is hot garbage for towing any decent amount of weight. I wouldn't even consider towing any vehicle regardless of weight on a tandem trailer that is not equipped with brakes and a trailer brake controller. I've done a bunch of sketchy towing over the last 2 years and I'm done doing it, one close call and it has changed my outlook completely. It's not worth getting close to the GCVWR and having more load than brakes.

And for reference, air suspension does not change the fact you will be over the axle's GWR, the entire premise of the weight distribution system is to partially transfer the load to the front axle. All air ride will do is fix your headlights aiming at the moon, does not add towing capacity obviously and it will still ride bad.

I get the take that "its rated for 7k, so I can tow 7k", but that is when it is new and without lack of maintenance and quality parts/repairs. I would recommend anyone towing a car get a trailer with brakes and a brake controller and dial it in with a temp gun to make sure you've got it dialed in good and you are not overheating your brakes or the trailers brakes.

  5. So if the vaccine works so well....my grandparents nursing home supposedly has everyone 100% vaccinated with both doses, HOWEVER, they are still in lockdown. They've been unable to leave their rooms to visit others. If it works, whats the scare??

We are now at the point that the lockdown has done more harm than good IMO.

My mother is in VERY ill health due to lack of proper, continual medical care due to COVID protocols by her doctor and physical activities she needed to stay healthy. 95% chance she passes in the next 3 years, and I will always consider it "too soon" and mainly due to COVID's lockdown.

My neighbor passed due to similar circumstances. He needed iron infusions, he was unable to get them consistently, he had a heart attack about 2 weeks ago and passed. Was he in good health? No. Would COVID have taken him out had he gotten it? Possibly. Would he die without proper treatment for existing conditions? Well, the proof is in the pudding folks.

FULL DISCLAIMER since I know CR well enough. Yes I know the COVID is real, yes I know our healthcare system is "crashing", etc. I think we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg as far as the latter point goes.

Wait until people who have had no medical care for a year now start running into complications over the next few months. (That said I've been the healthiest I've ever been since I changed diet and avoided doctors unless absolutely needed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ not a conspiracy nut, just would rather try some easy and natural/cheap stuff before pumping myself full of big phrama BS)

  6. I'm hoping someone here can help me out.. my Avalanche, the steering feels loose. We're talking there is about 1/8 steering wheel turn before it grips. I've replaced upper and lower intermediate shafts, outer tie rods, steering box and pitman arm, idler arm and power steering pump. I can get under the truck and turn the front wheels from side to side by holding the tire but not up and down. I look at the inner tie rods and they are holding together and it looks like the pitman arm moves when I move the actual truck wheel which makes me think the tie rods are good. (although they could use a little bit of grease). The pitman arm seems to have a TINY amount of play in it but it's not very bad. All of my steering parts are under 1k miles at this point. I know the steering box can be adjusted a little but not totally sure if I should be messing with that and if so how much do I turn at a time when adjusting. Any ideas on what could be making this steering such a huge pain in the royal ass?

Sounds just like an intermediate shaft issue. I would have a helper move the wheel, feel ujoints and other connections on the shaft or visually observe them

You can check the steering box for play, but adjusting them is a little tricky. Also you can put a prybar on the sway bar and push up on the box where the pitman arm is and check for play there on both the arm and box shaft.

  7. Because they are charged 3-4 a tire to have someone come pick them up and dispose of them...

yeah i'm an outdated son of a bitch.. Tell me, do you see the P&L statements from the place you work? Are you in management? I'm just curious because I was in management from 2006ish/2018 and the costs barely increased $.25 during those times.

    Liberty Tire charges us $2.75/tire.

We take in some for free if Steve's tires has come and taken a handful recently.

Damn, feel like an outdated son of a bitch yet or should I check back in another 6 months? If you aren't flexible enough to get that foot up to your mouth I'll put my mask on and give you a hand

Yes to all. And cool. Huge chains have a little bit more leverage than small indy's who aren't bending you over and giving it dry to everyone they deal with, employees included.

And the prices have gone up a lot in the last few months. I'm sure competition is better in cbus, but where we are we've got minimal choices.

Would we take tires in from a regular customer for free? Hell yeah, and gladly. We do it all the time, even if they got the tires elsewhere and hand us mount them as carry ins, we will just ask if they want them pitched.

Some douche that I've never seen? Nah. Run them to the dump bud, cant give us any business even once don't come asking for a favor.
