  1. Yeah....I'll have it awhile. It's clean and rust free. A trip to ziebart is also planned here soon. Want to keep it as nice as I can which is why I'm gonna level instead of cut the fenders. Probably only do a 2" spacer but I'm also mulling a 1.5". Just need enough so it doesn't rub and right now it just barely rubs at lock.

Dont undercoat the frame just oil it quarterly

  2. LOL

    SO lets get this straight

Rocky has worked on cars for longer than a decade, didn't do due diligence on one of the most notorious platforms for being outright pieces of shit....

Slimpsy sells something and expects people to think he did not know trans codes were in there that the shop (if its worth half a shit) will pull first thing when it gets into their bay...

  3. I know a few people out there through the local drag strip and it seems nice.

I don't think that part of Texas is suffering from the California invasion so you should be good there. Just stay away from places like Austin and such that have had an influx of those types, they are making it difficult to enjoy Texas.

Sa for sure has some of "them"

Wifes cousin is "one" and its cringy, good people, but whacky views

  4. Who has moved/ lived here?

    Who lives there now?

The wife and I have been talking about a move, and with my house nearly wrapped up I think now is the time. Looking around the San Antonio area since she has family there and that would make it easier.

  5. I'd stay away from JDM Midwest in Cincinnati. Had multiple encounters with them and lackluster service.

However JDM City Virginia? Is where I bought my Gen4 3SGTE from. Happy with that experience. Had it shipped though.

I've heard the same of them and saw that on their reviews yesterday which prompted my frustration.

I'm not opposed to shipping, in a perfect world I would have the engine Saturday so I can finish the job sunday and get it out to detail for tax time, but shipping is viable too..thanks Sean!

  6. Who still has the same car they joined CR with?

    Who still has an f-body?

Who still has a “fun car” at all?

It’s winter time, there’s not much going on, so let’s have a poll. What the hell.

Of course the answer for me on all 3 of those is yes. Had a few other cars to play with but always kept my Camaro.

    No

    I'd fucking love another

I have my M3, but getting it to be what I want is so far out of my budget its depressing.

  7. Although I'd rather not, I'm going to have to sell this, I have too many cars and trying to pay down some of my wedding expenses.

I bought this off BrianZ06 a few months back, and since then I have squared away a few issues I've found.

    153,xxx miles

    Heated leather seats

    Working A/C, great heat

5 speed manual, no slips, popouts, etc.

    New trans, diff fluids

Brian performed some extensive service to the cooling system, as I recall an expansion tank, radiator, hoses, thermostat.

    Good's

-New front lower control arms/ball joints

-Rebuilt DISA (intake runner control valve) Valve

    -Alignment

    -Updated coil packs from LKQ

    -Spark plugs

    -Cabin air filter

-Numerous small issues fixed, leaking hoses, intake clamp, etc.

    -25+ MPG

    -Good tires

    -Runs, drives and handles great

    Bad

-Misc. oil leaks as could be expected from something like this, known for sure is the oil filter pedestal gasket, it's an hour and a half for a competent person.

-Intermittent CEL, as a reference to how brief it is, it usually kicks on during a long trip on the weekend, and by the time I get into work monday morning it's shut off before I can get my scan tool on it.

-Interior could use a little love, headliner sags a bit, a pillars and c pillars fabric is coming loose, easy and fun weekend job for someone.

-Brake pad wear sensor light is on, I believe the rear pads are getting down there, but Brian had mentioned that he tore a wire on one of the sensors, but I haven't investigated.

-Exterior has a few blemishes and some dings here and there, nothing that bothers me, tried to highlight the big stuff in the pictures.

-Good detail? No smells, just some dirt, I'm more into making it run great so details aren't my thing.

CR Price is $2300, I've got a little wiggle room in that seeing as how it needs to go and needs a little loving, but you will NOT find another in as good of shape with these features for the same price. Imgur album https://imgur.com/a/XmzO2Bh

  8. I was getting coffee this morning at the Kroger on Karl and Morse road and this guy approached me asking for $3 and a gas can so he could get home. I did not entertain him at all and basically said "I don't carry cash" and walked away. As I was ordering my coffee, I could see him still in the parking lot asking every person he could for money (most likely with the same story) and some people actually were giving him a few dollar bills. After he had collected what looked like almost $15 and a gas can from someone, I figured he would just leave, but I was wrong. As I was leaving Kroger, I noticed that He then walked up to this Dodge truck and hugged the guy who had just parked there. They exchanged some words, a cigarette, and I even watched him pull a bunch of bills out of his pocket and hand them to the guy. They both even pulled out their cell phones and texted some people. I snapped a few pictures of the two and the plate of the truck before I left and sent them to Columbus Police.

TL;DR - Dishonest panhandler being a dishonest panhandler

So, My question to CR is... Do you guys have any tips for dealing with people who are obviously begging to take advantage of people? Any ways to troll them back or make them feel bad? or does CR have some good stories of other bad / dishonest Panhandlers?

Honestly, in 2019, how is the "I need money for gas" story still a thing?

You need to mind ya business before you

    A. Get shot

    B. Get your ass beat and pony tail ripped out

    C. Get anally pummeled by a real homeless

    or

    D. Get mugged and your half a muscle car stolen

Honestly, in 2019, how is the "idk how to deal with panhandlers" thing is still a thing. It's clear you've been pretty sheltered, if shit doesn't involve you, you simply stay far away from it, especially when it involves people like this. It doesn't end well for "normies" and you're gonna find that you've bit off much more than you can chew at some point. This isn't GTAV, left click isn't going to throw a punch that will knock them cold when they come at you.

  9. Shut the fuck up. Geeto makes better arguments then you. GM cutting warranty times doesn’t have anything directly related to the UAW strike. Go back to bitching about the little independent shop you work at giving you junk to work on, and how hard it is to make money. For fucks sake.

Dont be a salty ass bitch towards me because you get paid .2 to do a job that takes you 1.5

You bitch about EVERYTHING in your life and do nothing to fix shit.

If you don't like being a GM tech then move on.

If you don't like working on cars then move on.

I would seriously kill myself if I was 40+ and not own my own shop

Secondly, even if it is junk guess what, it only makes me a better tech and more prepared for when I do go open up my own shop. So yeah, it does suck ass, but getting burnt one or two times on the same job is better than bending over for Mary Barra or whatever he name is to put a strap on around her waist and railing me daily.
