  1. Link expired. How much are you asking? My 20 year old son is looking for a reasonably priced car.
  2. Guys, I'm looking for a mech that can replace the idler pulley (bad bearings) on a 04 Saturn V6 L300. The GM dealer says they have to pull the motor to get to it which is major $$$$. I'm sure there are some mechs out there that are familiar with the job and can do it by jacking the motor up just a little to get access to the pulley but I just need to find them. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
  3. thanks for the info. Servpro only does the lead paint if they're already doing a bigger job on location. I stripped and repainted the garage this weekend and I'm waiting to hear if this will be acceptable.
  4. awesome, thanks for the info. Orig was a FHA and now I'm refinancing and the appraiser noted peeling paint on the garage and stated since it was probably constructed before 1970, it could be lead based paint and now they're stating I need a "lead based paint professional" to determine if that is the case. I indicated that the garage was painted in 2014 (provided receipt) and probably a few times before that judging by the layers of paint and questioned how could an appraiser just make a visual inspection without the use of any kit and make that determination which I now have prove otherwise. The garage looks better now than when I bought the home and I had no issues then with the appraisal. LOL Seems to be total BS!
  5. Can anyone point me the direction of a "lead based paint professional"? I've called several craigslist adds and none are licensed or have that kit to test. I need to confirm if my garage paint is lead based.
  6. dang, that's not cool but congrats on the sale! Consider just renting a large uhaul for those days to avoid the extra loading and unloading?
  7. Yeh, I've read about the potential tranny issues. Coming from the TBSS community, I'm already factoring that into the mod budget. LOL With gas prices down, they seem to be more popular again.
  8. I'm looking for an SRT10 QC. The few that I have found with acceptable mileage and fair pricing were sold quickly. It seems there is a resurgence in interest for this limited production truck.
  9. If you go with the M109, I think it was the early years 07-09 that had the major trans issues so I would only consider those if the trans has been undercut or you have it in the budget to. 2011 they redesigned the trans to supposedly correct the issues. Define comfortable! LOL If we're talking city riding, check out the Busa or ZX14 (they can be modified to be better suited for long distance riding). How could I forget the bking for the cruiser ride but sporty fill.
  10. Thanks for the input guys! I only need 3 holes and I'm going to look for a set today.
  11. I read mixed reviews on the inexpensive tap sets so I wasn't sure if it would just be easier to have a pro handle it as a side job but I may just do it myself and get some experience. Any suggestion on a brand?
  12. Guys, I need two small thin iron brackets threaded for about 2mm size screws. I've called a few machine shops and the min. is $100 which I know this work shouldn't cost that much so are there any garage machinist out there?
  13. Awesome work in my opinion! People love their cars!
  14. I bought my truck from a guy in NM with a clear title. I went through my credit union which had some type of direct connect with the seller's credit union so they transferred the funds and he sent the title via overnight shipment and once everything was confirmed on my end the funds were released. The whole process was done in 2 days, then I just had to wait for the truck to arrive.
