  1. Looks good, I recently sold my mk4 vr6 to get a new mk6 and nothing beats the sound of that narrow angle 6, gobs of torque too. Should be fairly quick given the weight. I'm sure you already know but change the timing chain while the motor is out, saves you the only real maintenance for that engine that is difficult when the motor is in.
  2. I thought it was great a group start is a lot more entertaining, good video Greg but next time don't use YouTube's auto stabilization.
  3. Do want. What bike are you replacing it with? Multistrada?
  4. Being a current Engineering student at Ohio state I would say take your time and study hard. Pick a major where you are going to get a job(business, engineering, medicine). The higher you can get your gpa the better chance you are going to get to getting Internships, co-ops, and carreers. I messed up my first couple of semesters and now trying to fight my way back to getting job offers
  5. If bautista could have calmed down a bit im sure he would have been on the podium, he just kept pushing too hard. He was doing it all weekend
  6. I have the season pass. What a fantastic race, I could barely watch, such a close race right till the end. The rossi marquez fight was fantastic. If you can, watch the moto3 race, 5 people competed for the lead the entire race, really great stuff.
  7. These might work too, at least for the rear http://xblights.net/products.html
  8. ridden properly, modern superbikes will destroy most things
  9. Which one? Competition racing or Full Throttle?
  10. I want to know how many subs Russia has on Ukraine's coastline right now
  11. Not as cool as the coupes but still has gobs of hp and torque. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=43201&endYear=2015&modelCode1=VIPER&showcaseOwnerId=0&startYear=1981&makeCode1=DODGE&transmissionCode=MAN&transmissionCodes=MAN&searchRadius=100&maxPrice=50000&showcaseListingId=0&mmt=%5BDODGE%5BVIPER%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D&listingId=356132104&Log=0
  12. Eventually the efficiency gains could prove to be so much better than variable valvetrains but by the time this tech comes out I feel like electric cars will have a lot more attention than gas ones but who knows
  13. 2.3 liter mustang four cylinder turbo and FWD. I guess if you want rear wheel drive, you just get the mustang.
  14. Really funny video. Call me skeptical, but even after reading the article on jalopnik, still not sure how real it was. I want to believe that it is though.
  15. My limited experience always involved a big bottle of carb cleaner and some pipe cleaners. You mainly just scrub everything down and get the residue out of the jets.
  16. I was one of the other driver's with greg in the prelude and I kind of have to agree that it is a lot of money for not a lot of track time. Although everyone thinks it's cool, it gets really old fixing cars when you are paying to be on track. It is spectacular when you are racing, door to door racing is much more of a rush than just a normal track day, but I don't think it's worth 2 or 3 times the price to drive in a slow car.
  17. Thanks! Yeah that's my dad's new lift, makes everything a lot easier so I normally try and bum off it as best I can
  18. Hello everyone, My name is Mike and I'm a Engineering student at OSU and I do a lot of track driving in my free time. I currently drive a granny gold 2001 VW Gti VR6 with moderate upgrades. It's a pig in a straight line (did a 16.232 at National Trail last year) but it holds up fairly well in the corners (1:55 at Mid Ohio) and with some proper tires im hoping to see a spec Miata type time. It is a stock motor with 185k, some moderate suspension upgrades from the .:R32 and I just installed upgraded big brake OEM brakes all round this past week. About 3 months ago I was the owner of a 2003 Mini Cooper S as well, but after a trip to Putnam Park and some long road trips, I decided it wasn't for me. I was recommended to this site by user 'greg'. I met him at one of the PCA Mid ohio events and have done some other events with him in his teg and one Chumpcar event. I'm hoping to see what the Columbus community has to offer and see what I can contribute. Here are some pics of my car(s) http://i1363.photobucket.com/albums/r719/Antilagmike/1010ths20134474-ZF-4189-95943-1-001_zps3bd19804.jpg http://i1363.photobucket.com/albums/r719/Antilagmike/profilepicwithcar_zpsb91e9871.jpg http://i1363.photobucket.com/albums/r719/Antilagmike/IMG_1371_zps76b7e2c6.jpg http://i1363.photobucket.com/albums/r719/Antilagmike/IMG_1366_zpsbed4067c.jpg
