  1. Appreciate the advice. It's failing in a few different spots so there's no saving it at this point. I also don't really have time to do this myself. I'd rather just pay somewhere reputable to handle it.
  2. Headliner on my g8 is sagging. No time to tackle this on my own. Anyone recommend a place to replace it? Factory replacement is non-existent.
  3. If you're tearing into it to delete DOD put a real cam in it. I get not wanting to change springs as often as spark plugs but a stock ls3 cam leaves a lot on the table. I've got a Texas speed custom with great manners and makes almost 420. Nice car!
  4. Cordel, the tech took it for a spin so he was aware of it pulling. We traded tires left to right with no change, so it's not a weight issue. I realize I was kinda asking for it going to Firestone, but I thought it was a simple job and it's right down the street. Got an appt with tire discounters on broad tomorrow. Thanks dudes.
  5. Need an alignment. Took to Firestone thinking it would be easy enough to for anyone...guy spends 3 hours on it, still pulls right, he can't figure it out. Any recommended places, preferably either north or east side?
  6. I've had great experiences at moorespeed as well.
  7. Foobar works great. I manage a 200 gig library with it.
  8. I spent about $1700 on parts. Went with a Texas Speed kit and had them grind the cam. Pat G spec. I wanted streetable in all weather, wife-friendly manners, and all the power I could squeeze without replacing valve springs as often as spark plugs. I've been very happy with his recommendation after almost a year and about 10k miles. Car runs strong and behaves pretty close to stock until I stand on it. I did a trunion upgrade and a few other misc parts while it was apart, so it could be done cheaper.
  9. Could that cause the on and off nature of it? Sometimes it's on for 5 minutes, sometime it literally blinks and doesn't even get through the 3 chimes before it's off and all is well.
  10. Fluid is good. Parking brake warning in the dic specifically says "parking brake"...tested that right away by engaging it a bit while rolling so it's not a sensor there. Rules both of those out. Anything else to check?
  11. I'm getting an intermittent "Brake!" warning in the DIC, chimes, and the red "BRAKE" light is lighting up. Only seems to happen once warm. It comes and goes...annoyingly so. Brakes feel fine, about 25k on pads and rotors...it could probably use a flush, but the car stops OK. Drove 50 highway miles without a warning until I was off the highway and it went off once or twice before I parked, and then it went off about a million times on my 10 mile drive to work yesterday...all over the place. Any ideas before I take it to service? Any recommendation for someone to look at it that are reputable and more wallet friendly than the dealership? Car just got a DOD delete/cam a month ago, it that makes any difference. Vacuum issue? It does idle a little low when warm.
  12. Mike is the best chef in town imo. I work for a local produce distro and one of the best perks is knowing who's kicking ass in kitchens around town. You won't be disappointed.
  13. Worthington inn, The Guild House and The Top are my favs. All would be tough to stay under your budget if you're boozing, but if you're talking food only it is easily done.
  14. Had pat g spec me one. 218/224 600/600 113lsa. Should make a hair over 400whp, pretty flat torque, and be wife friendly on stock stall/gears. Got 102k on the car so if I keep it beyond the next couple years I'll buy something else to dd and go a bit more radical (deck heads, knarly cam/stall/etc. maybe lsa?). But for now this ought to wake the fat girl up a bit. Gonna try to stop into Moorespeed in the next few days. Thanks dudes.
  15. I had a piece of concrete hit my hood and skip off the windshield on 71N on the exit to 270W from that first bridge you pass under. Just happened to be a time I was following a guy in a black S4 through there at about 75. Scariest moment of my driving career for sure. Blistered my hood bad and broke the windshield. I was off at crosswoods and sitting in the gas station parking lot before it really dawned on me what exactly had happened. If it hadn't hit the hood first and instead hit the windshield directly it would have killed me for sure. Not a good wreck into the guardrail at 70 with 20lbs of concrete and glass in your face anyways. Anywhoo, I filed a claim on the gov't website and got an email, which went back and forth until it was pretty much "here's the information for small claims..." and that was all the cooperation I was getting. I had a baby on the way, had just started a new job, etc. and so I bit the $250 deductible bullet and went on with my life. I kinda hope someone comes along and sues them silly for those bridges/roads being crumbling shit and hurting someone. You can be that dude! Maybe your neck hurts a little too.
