Anyone know where I can find a set of 17" steelies to start getting a winter setup together?

Nice well maybe ill pick this one up depending on how she looks when I get there, we all know pictures can be deceiving sometimes. Like I said for a 96 it looks great, little rust on the rear bumper but a replacement or even an off-road bumper is a cheap fix.

Yeah I panned on checking the pink coolant problem that was the first problem that I pulled up about them. Main thing really is id like to get through a couple winters before dumping money into it. After that I dont care ill pull the motor and rebuild if I have too since the Mazda will be my dd in nucer months.

So I am looking at a 3rd Gen 4Runner it has 198k on the clock looks clean from what I can see in the dealers pics and has pretty good interior. Now I have seen these things reach 3 and sometimes 400k. The guy wants $3k for it and it will strictly be a winter/Hunting beater car so not many miles will be put on it. SO question is have any of you had experience with these, is it worth it for a beater or should I look elsewhere?

Thats exactly it, if the rest of these kids were smart if they have anything at all that can be dealt with by the ncaa they should stop immediately. Have you looked on eBay at all for cheap rubber, I mean if you're only going to run them for the winter you may find a steal on there. So far my mods are as follows Protege garage built bottom end withe Wiseco pistons .20 and Manley H-beam rods, ATP downpipe, HKS catback, CP-E external wastegate manifold, TiAL 44mm Wastegate with dumptube, Garrett GTX3076r, TurboXS FMIC, TiAL Q BOV, Ported intake manifold with VTCS delete, HTP 3.5" full intake, Guardian Angel Overboost Protection, COBB Accessport, Matt Damond OCC, COBB Short Throw, Sure short shift plate, JBR 88 duro Transmission mount, Sure track bushing RMM, JBR EGR delete, Grimmspeed 3-port EBCS, JBR heavy shift knob, H&R springs, EVO X enkei wheels, Freektune E-tune on 93 and 25% E85. I am sure there is some more that I just cant think of right now. Next to be installed is a 5/6th port injection, JMF intake manifold, sway bars, and new struts and shocks. According to Virtual Dyno with a correction factor of 1.01 I am sitting at 416/396 partway through my e25 tune.
