Something else to consider: How about integrating some charitable events with CC&C, such as "Toys 4 Tots", "Support the Food Pantry" (bring a can in your can), etc? Pick a charity for one Saturday each month or quarter and do something particular, collection or cruise to Children's Hospital, for that charity. I'm sure everyone has a charity that's close to their heart.

The law takes effect March 23 (roughly the 3rd week of March), 90 days after the Governor's signature. But, no flash...no ticket.

I think it is covered by your "Comprehensive" coverage which is for anything not covered by "Collision". If you have comprehensive coverage on your auto insurance policy, most insurance companies waive your deductible for windshield chip repairs (State Farm and Mercury Insurance are the two major exceptions). Insurance companies that cover the full cost of chip repairs with comprehensive coverage include: ◾Farmers ◾Geico ◾USAA ◾AAA ◾Allstate ◾Progressive ◾Nationwide ◾Allied ◾21st Century ◾Travelers As for the "superglue solution", if you're tracking the car, you will NOT pass tech inspection for NASA/SCCA/USCA/NHRA etc. They kind of frown on the "duct tape repair solutions".

If you have insurance (and I am sure you do as a law abiding citizen) AND if the rock chip is repairable. it will cost you nada...zip...zero. If it is not repairable, then it will cost you your deductible. Helpful SafeLite links: http://www.safelite.com/windshield-repair/ http://www.safelite.com/auto-glass-repair-replacement-cost/

PFADT Engineering Back In Business
TeddyBearFromHell replied to TeddyBearFromHell's topic in Passing Lane
Good questions. I've not had occasion yet to ask that...yet. I've their motor/trans mounts & tri-y headers on my little monster and was about to get their Featherlite Double Adjustable coil overs when they closed. Getting ready to go shopping again. Tech/Warranty contact: Tech@aFepower.com Or the aFe contact page. aFe Power Pfadt Race Engineering 191 Granite Street Corona, CA 92879 Email: sales@afecontrol.com Phone: 951-493-7100 -
As some of you know, PFADT Race Engineering went belly up last spring thanks to problems with finances. Some good news for the Camaro/Corvette/Cadillac crew: Advanced Flow Engineering has partnered up/bought PFADT and they are ramping up production on their cool performance & race parts. PFADT had some of the best 'vette suspension upgrades for the money and tech support was great. aFe has a good reputation, too, so, good things are coming!!

Torrents do come in handy in Linux world as many useful apps and such are distributed that way. I would be careful of the pay sites like uploaded.net (re: Kim Dot Com of New Zealand). If a copyright holder subpoenas them, they most likely will cave and give them your info. There are a lot of "copyright trolls" out there looking to make a buck and the RIAA (Recoding Industry Association of America) would look unfavorably, and a lot of software industry types (Apple, MicroSloth, Oracle, etc). http://dietrolldie.com/ http://fightcopyrighttrolls.com/ https://www.riaa.com/ Back to the subject of torrents, if you're using any torrent s/w, outfits like AT&T, Verizon, Comcast (soon to absorb Time Warner) have programs monitoring traffic for torrent use. Chect out "Torrent Freak" for details and advice. https://torrentfreak.com/ As always, your mileage may vary. The above advice should not be construed as supporting/defending the breaking of any law and is provide only for educational purposes. Prohibited where void. WARNING! Do NOT distribute this information under ANY circumstances, unless you really want to. This information may be discussed ONLY in Doc's lavatories, closed emgineering conferences, and/or hayrides in Nebraska. ANY violation of this agreement constitutes a violation of this agreement, and the agreement shall henceforth be violated. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Isn't that what happens when Wonder Woman yells while visiting the Grand Canyon (Amazon Echo)? http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/AnneBasso/daily%20blog%20post%20pics/28682-Hell-no-gif-CD0Y_zps5531b847.jpg ....I'm just saying.

I use BitTorrent Pro with built in virus scanner. There is also a free version without the virus scanner. http://www.bittorrent.com/ A word of caution: I would NOT use any torrent s/w without either TOR or some other "anonomizing" method, such as a proxy connection. Check out this link for a list of providers. http://www.proxysp.com/ I was using TOR until there was some hacks penetrating some nodes. I currently use "Hide My Ass". Your mileage may vary.

I wonder how it would do on a go-kart?

Studded tires questions and daily driving
TeddyBearFromHell replied to carl1647545492's topic in Passing Lane
I was told they're illegal, except for this: http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/5589.081 5589.081 Studded tires - prohibited acts. (A) For purposes of this section, "studded tire" means any tire designed for use on a vehicle and equipped with metal studs or studs of wear-resisting material that project beyond the tread of the traction surface of the tire; and "motor vehicle," "street or highway," "public safety vehicle," and "school bus" have the same meanings as given those terms in section 4511.01 of the Revised Code. (B) (1) Except as provided in division (B)(2) of this section, no person shall operate any motor vehicle, other than a public safety vehicle or school bus, that is equipped with studded tires on any street or highway in this state, except during the period extending from the first day of November of each year through the fifteenth day of April of the succeeding year. (2) A person may operate a motor vehicle that is equipped with retractable studded tires with the studs retracted at any time of the year, but shall operate the motor vehicle with the studs extended only as provided in division (B)(1) of this section. © This section does not apply to the use of tire chains when there is snow or ice on the streets or highways where such chains are being used, or the immediate vicinity thereof. Effective Date: 03-12-1975; 2008 SB44 08-22-2008 -
Don't know which is going to be more fun...the rumored mid-engine C8 or the C7 Z06. Now, if they do a C7ZR1...

If you don't mind the travel, Abe's in Granville is pretty righteous. Ask for Fred. He did my Vette. 464 S Main St, Granville, OH 43023 (740) 587-0741 http://i.imgur.com/KNFyXXA.jpg

I'm Doug, and I live in Heath,Ohio (Go to Newark, turn south). I am currently employed as Technical Support Engineer for a small computer firm, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise. I drive a Dodge minivan, but CRUISE (i.e. "style and profile) in a 2013 C6 Vette (Coupe 1LT). My Little Monster doesn't do cloudy or wet days. I've probably already voided my warranty, but, hey, it's a Vette and is meant to be personalized. So far, I have these mods: Body Work (Installed/Paint by Abe’s Body Shop): Supervettes WaterFall Extreme Hood. (Installed/Paint by Abe’s Body Shop) Body Kit - LOMA GT2 Body Kit OEM Corvette Z06 Bumper & Installation Kit PFADT Tow Hooks (Rear) Wheels & Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP (Zero Pressure) Front: P285/30ZR19 Rear: P335/30ZR20 Suspension: LG MOtorsports GT2 Heavy Sway Bars w/QUiet Endlinks EIBACH MultiPro R2 Coilover Shocks. ENGINE: Pfadt Tri-Y Long Tube Headers w/cat backs Pfadt PCM Tune Next mods will be: Breathless Performance Roll Bar (SCCA Approved) Caravaggio Daytona Race Seats BRAKES: Either Brembo or Baer Pro+ Front/Rear Aeromotion R Series Dynamic Wing Edelbrock E-Series Supercharger (599HP) Dry Sump Oiling System On paper, I should be about 530+/-HP, but could be wrong. Need to get to a dyno and check. I found out about this site while reading LS1Tech doing some research. I am looking for anything racing or any other car events in the area. While I've not yet had my car on the track, I'm about to start with some SCCA Autocross events and some HPDE on some road courses. I caught the road course bug after attending the Ron Fellows Driving School 6 months after buying my Vette. It was definitely a Bucket List vacation and changed my views on driving. Pics of my ride can be seen here.
