Upped my life insurance and dialed back the speed.

@cmh_sprint and I are riding down for the Gap trip again this year. I think @OsuMj is joining. Possibly @marlboro man also. Anyone else want to join? We’re taking two days down; leaving Wednesday morning from Pickerington and arriving Thursday afternoon/early evening. As much two lane as possible. We’ll stay at a hotel/motel somewhere near the middle. What dealer do you work at?

Last new bike I bought, I walked in, said I want to test ride this. They said ok, got it prepped, I rode it, I bought it. I’ve never bought a bike without riding it first. I wouldn’t buy a car without driving it first, and a bike is much more important to get right.

I wouldn’t let you test ride a bike either.

Was just told by a local dealer I couldn’t test ride a motorcycle. First time I’ve tried to buy a bike from said dealer, and first time I’ve ever been told I couldn’t test ride. Is this common?

You’ll have a ball on the Tiger. I wouldn’t worry about that at all. I’d expect a few cruisers, ADV bikes, etc. We break up into groups based on pace. It’s a blast.

That's why I'm heading down tonight and plan on riding all day if doesn't storm like crazy.

Okay, I think I have it figured out. We have always had it set to unread content in the past 365 days. I've had to prune this occasionally for folks, but never a huge deal. Seems something changed with the way the site generates the queries. Supposedly this was an improvement, however the query optimizer was choosing a different path for many people causing 30s query times to find very few records. I've changed the default to search only the past 90 days for unread posts. It seems to be blazing fast now. Let me know if you all are still seeing slow load times of the "What's New" tab.

You could try marking site as read. Downside of course is that everything will be marked as read.
