OK, so I took the LG back today and looked at the LG 60hz LCD. Standing there I was not impressed with the picture either..So I said fuck it. I bought a better 42" 120hz 1080p toshiba, costed me more $$, but this picture is clear as fuck!! Bluray is insane clear as well as my new HD channels....got box today.

You talking to me...cause I have no clue what you're talking about This is what they are doing. They guarantee pricing for 30 days. Therefore, if the TV I bought goes on sale for Black Friday, which is within 30 days, they will refund me the difference. No other store is doing this....hence why I went to HH.

Cause HHGregg is honoring Black Friday prices right now. Door buster deals are never good TVs, so I don't give a shit about that. Plus, i'm not waiting in a long ass fighting line at 3am for a damn TV.

Ah ha! So does this also affect picture quality?? I don't know if the two I bought yesterday are 1.4 or not. I didn't know what to look for. They were $27 each @ 6ft.

I pulled it down this morning and boxed it up. Taking back to try the LCD. I agree plasma can be nice cause my nice one is. I spent 550 on this 42, so I guess this is a case of "you get what you pay for". I was on avsforums and found a thread on the specific TV and used their settings and it did not help. I'll be taking the LCD back, too, if it does not meet my needs. Then I'll wait and spend a nice bit on a better brand/model.

Two think I bought two yesterday... How the hell is it possible for an HDMI cable to cost 3 bucks from sites like this, but upwards of $50 for a single cable in stores????

I found a TV forum where there was a thread on the TV. Several guys posted calibrated settings and I was using several of them. None gave me good results. Factory wasn't any better. TV is a big part of my life...lol. I must have one in my room and I sleep with it on all night. If it shuts off....I wake up. A must.

OK, so I wanted to upgrade my 32" Vizio LCD in my bedroom....I put it in my daughters room. I went to HHgregg and bought an LG 42pj350 (720p). I do not have a cable box in my room, so I'm just using the coax from the wall (getting HD box tomorrow). Well, the quality on this plasma straight from the wall was horrid, so I went out and bought a bluray player to see how it'd look at it's best. I screwed with the settings and could not get this thing to shine even with bluray. To see if it was just me...i took the BR player to my 52" plasma, 1080p, in my living room and there was that clarity I was looking for. So I have decided to take this TV back tomorrow. I have decided to get either LG 42LD450 or LG 37LD450. These are 1080p LCDs @ 60hz. The thing is..it's a bedroom TV..I don't have to get a high end screen...I have that downstairs, but I want good qual. You guys have any input on these two LCDs?? Do you think an 1080p LCD @60hz will look better than a 720p plasma @600mhz??

Now GOP has control..I wonder what they do since they no longer have to cry from the other side.

The programmers write this into the kernels. Most of Kingz, Netarchy's and Baked Snacks kernels run this code. That's why they say not to use profiles in SetCPU when you are running a kernel that implements HAVS. It conflicts with what the kernel is doing. The purpose of HAVS is to minimize the power used by the CPU by determining and setting the optimal voltage. At the same time, the maximum voltage by which HAVS can scale to is fixed to a specified voltage depending on the CPU frequency in order to prevent scaling to a higher voltage than what is normally used at a specified voltage. The optimal voltage is actively determined for each frequency and temperature. HAVS actively adjusts the CPU voltage as the CPU frequency and temperature changes. Thus, it increases battery life.
