I so hope I can see 1-2MB download speed today. Although I am a little put off by AT&T's 2wire equipment, I can't run my TimeCapsule the same way I can with a cable modem because AT&T's Equipment has NAT. Any UVERSE peeps here that can attest to being able to disable the equipment's NAT so my router can take care of the NAT?

I say leave Afganistan, move into Mexico, conquer it, tax them, and kill NAFTA, the boarder problem, all at once by making Mexico the 51st state, or splitting it up into several states.

And I'm not expecting a 5MB per second download, but between 1-2MB per sec is fine. It's what I had with WOW before AT&T.

No I did not know this, I had the 8MB package with Wow and saw 2MB down on files, Funny nobody with AT&T could tell me that, they told me I should be seeing downloads faster than 650k. I've had 2 techs here in the past couple of months and they have given up. I was on the phone with AT&T for 2 hrs after the tech left. Nobody explained that. Their solution is uverse for Internet, this eliminates my contract with AT&T. If I don't try uverse, they are going to charge me the $150 ETF. They are not making me pay for the modem and install, just the extra $15 a month for their 12MB service. So we will pay $45 for Internet. If it is slow too, I can cancel with no ETF. WOW already offered today to give me 8MB service for $45 a month so if it doesn't work out I'll most likely go back to them just for Internet.

No bundling, I love DirecTV, not leaving them, I just want a 6MB connection or faster. Who should we purchase? Not looking for the fastest, just able to download files regularly measured in MB/S not KB/S. Everytime I do a speedtest with AT&T it tells me I have a 5MB connection, but any time I download any file from iTunes or Microsoft, or anyone, I can only download at 650KB/sec. Takes forever to download movies from iTunes. With WOW I would get a 2MB/sec download of the same files before we got AT&T. We switched because we wanted DirectTV and AT&T bundles with DirecTV. I'm done with AT&T.
