    Um Yeah that was me.....

I own 2 of these cars, and have a great deal of knowledge about both of them; I have done all the work on both of them myself. In fact I have to go to Subaru today and pick up a part for a 2003 WRX that actually is a 2002 part on a 2003 car. I told my wife to get a 2002 part but when she got there they talked her into a 2003 part. I seem to have more knowledge that the person who works the counter at SUBARU....

Opinions are like assholes, and yours is just that, which you are entitled to, I agree with the guy above, power before suspension, unless you autocross or rally, most highways do not turn much, and most people spend their time on the highways. I don't drive on any highways that have a hairpin turn in them, however I do travel on very bumpy highways that would absolutely suck to drive on with a stiff suspension.

In the future please refrain from attacking someone’s intelligence on a car until you meet them and actually get to know them. Thanks and I look forward in meeting you someday so we can look at each others cars. And in the end like you said the most important thing is to have fun.

Yep, Factory Ver.6 STi RA 5-speed close ratio gearset with special cryogenic stress relieving treatment. From Japan Aprox $1500.
  3. I have seen a bunch of that type of car this weekend in Elkhart Lake(Road America) at the vintage race. I look at cars in a whole diferent way now. Here are a couple of ferraris that you will not see but once in your life if you are in the right place at the right time. Keep in mind these cars go around the track!

The first one is called a 1960 Type 60, most came with a 4 cyclinder engine but 3 were made with a 12 cyclinder engine. This is one of the 3!(Cost=priceless). Here is the type 60.

The second is the 1963 12 cyclinder Ferrari 250 GTO. Cost=2-3 million.

And if you do what might a ballpark figure be? ALl I need done is the paint I can hang it myself. I would rather give you my business than some insurance driven bodyshop close to me. If you wish to contact me: bbotte@insight.rr.com
  5. Cobb tunning Stage 2.5. ECU flash, Up-pipe, downpipe/midpipe, Cat back exaust, Larger turbo (IHI VF34), STI Pink injectors, Walbro Fuel pump= around 300 hp to the ground. Cost=$3000 if you do the labor yourself. Disclaimer - this will bust your transmission if you thrash on it.

  6. You could wake up tommrow morning and be put in jail for life without a trial and no one could do anything about it.
Not if you abide by the law? If you don't break any laws then why would you show up on a desk? No way is a person who is law abiding going to be sitting in his living room and federal agents bust in and take him away. Give me a break. If you keep your nose clean you have nothing to worry about. What do you have to hide? I could care less what the government sees me doing, it would be me sitting on my couch eating chips and watching ESPN. I bet that is exciting! Hall me away.......

  7. Sunday was good, would have been better if Tony would have won. At least he took the points lead! It was very pleasing to see Bernstein to lose in the first round! And to see Dixon in the kitty litter throwing a fit after his chute ripped off at 320mph and the other didn't open!!

The old school drags were very cool, I saw a few of those, the driver used to sit with the Differential BETWEEN HIS THIGHS! No way would I put a 1000-1200 horsepower motor in front of me and then stradle the diff with my nuts! Hats off to the oldtimes for haveing a lot of courage to do that!

  8. I paid 3 tickets for 18% and got the fourth and had to apear in court. They made me strip it off, and had a baliff come out and inspect the car. They were going to impound the car if I did not strip it. Since then I have never tinted my windows.
  9. Most dealers have a checkbox on the ro that says "I want to keep my old parts." When I worked at Krieger Lincoln Mercury a long time ago a lady checked it and they did not give her the parts. They threw the parts in the dumpster. They sent the tech dumpster diving, and he could not produce HER parts. Needless to say the dealer gave her a free brake job.
