  1. This is from the BMV's website on collectors plates. more info here

In an effort to ensure that all vehicles registered as collector vehicles are truly collectible, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles references the National Automobile Dealers Association, Classic, Collectible, and Special Interest Car Appraisal Guide or the 4th Edition Standard Catalog of American Cars 1946-1975 (Krause Publications) or The Complete Book of Collectible Cars 1930-1990 (Consumer Guide) to determine vehicles that are true collector vehicles. Although we recognize that a vehicle may be unique because of time, energy and investment expended by the owner, these publications are used in determining eligibility for collector’s license plates. Due to a administrative ruling, vehicle models not listed in the above publications may be considered collector vehicles if the applicant obtains documentation from the manufacturer that the vehicle was in limited production, is in demand as a collectible vehicle at the time of application or a sizable investment can be proven.

  2. Looks like I'll be changing my address back to muskingum county, cuz the Jeeps screwed and the camaro wouldn't have a hope in hell of passing echeck.

If not we'll have to find friendly shops that will rubber stamp the echeck for us. :mad:graemlins/bsflag.gif

Clean air is overrated, who wants to live forever? Just kidding I am fond of clean air.

  3. You might contact Stefan at Trail Quest out in Plain City Trail quest web pageI don't know if they do installs though. Trails West out on 40 east can do it, I think they charge about $300 for a lift installation. 4Wheel parts will try to shove that pro comp shit down your throat. graemlins/puke.gif

You'll need a slip yoke eliminator on the transfer case for any lift over 2 inches or you'll likely get driveshaft vibes.

Thats what I wanted my cherokee to look like minus the snorkel :(

  4. MJ was the chassis code for the comanche.

I have no idea about swaps, 84-86 probably had a GM 2.8L V6, so a 4.3L vortec MIGHT be an option, but I'm really just guessing there. The 4.0L I6 would work but you ain't gonna just toss it in there. The good thing is there are plenty of donor vehicles out there.

  5. Jeep will be offering a diesel liberty (KJ) for '05 Its a 2.8L non turbo common rail diesel. Its supposed to have best in class torque and pretty good mileage. Regardless its still ugly.

As far as the MJ goes I don't think the turbo diesel was offered in the US. Maybe Mexico and Europe. I could be wrong but I've never heard of one with that stateside.

The MJ comanche shares a lot with the XJ cherokee, suspension and engine wise anyway.

    Some great jeep websites are

    Jeeps Unlimited

    Rockcrawler.com

    Jeepin.com

    KJ common rail diesel

Did a quick search and the Australian XJ got a turbo diesel from 97-01 supplied by an italian company. XJ turbo diesel article

  6. Well, there used to be a guy in millersport that was real good with CRX's. Name was Kris Watters or something, anyways he had an article in the dispatch this summer about how he used to work on CRX's on a tarp in his living room, you might want to look him up. With his faith and focus, he can get you a 16HP gain from a hi flo heater core.

Duh anyone knows the best bang for the buck HP wise comes from neons. License plate neon nets 8 HP and the full undercar kit gets 17-20 HP depending on model. The neons release neon gas to the atmosphere, which is sucked into the intake, giving a nos like effect, yo. Inert gases rock that way, yo. graemlins/trout.gif
