    WTB: Handgun

Yeah, quit bickering. Eric, you sir have a PM.
  3. At one point I had a box with 2 12" woofers mounted in it. I had a blue neon mounted above the box. You couldn't see the tube, but it emitted a cool glow. Also, at one point I had blue EL "racing pedals". They sucked, and the clutch pedal wouldn't stay on and broke the power wire. No exterior ricerness for me.
  4. Most stereo shops sell power wire by the foot.

    WTB: Handgun

I suppose I should have been more specific. i was in a hurry to get out the door and get to work. cliffs notes: Caliber: any common round is fine (except .22) Price limit ~$300 I'm looking for a semi auto pistol. I'm not dead set on a caliber, but it must be a common ammunition that I can purchase locally. I don't want to have to contact Sergov in ugoslavia to buy rounds. Also, the gun needs to be fun to shoot, and .22s bore me. I don't really need it for home defense (faigley, that is where you come in) just for shooting in fields/ ranges/etc. As far as price, I'm was origionally looking to spend no more than $200, but that limits me to Highpoints and Cobras. So, I suppose I am willing to spend up to $300. I'm well aware it's on the cheaper side, but i'm just getting started, so the cheaper side is fine for me. That being said, Vance's had a used highpoint 380ACP with an extended barrel for $119 that I was eyeing.

Could I get some more details?
  8. Just like the title states, I am in the market for a hand gun. Does anyone have a gun they are looking to get rid of? I'm also sorta kinda looking for a 12 gauge, but more in the market for handguns at the moment.
  9. Dude, you may have to keep bumping this because your prices are, well, bad. I can pick up a brand new 3200 Venice for $75 and a brand new 3700+ San Diego (similar core to clawhammer but with a die shrink to 90nm) for $96, and new Maxtor 160GB SATA hard drives go for $65 shipped. I'm having trouble finding reliable pricing for the ABIT AX8 mobo. On paper it appears to be a good mobo but I can pick uo a comparable mobo for near the same price new. And the power cable y-adaptor? They go for $2.50 plus shipping, which sadly is more then the cost of the cable itself. If you bought all this stuff recently, just send it back to the store you bought it from! The sad truth of it is that AMD drastically reduced the MSRP of all its consumer level processors last month. 64 bit single core processors are effectively worth diddly.

    books

I bought a few off amazon.com. Look up the ISBN number for the textbook you need.
  12. It certainly sounds like a problem. If the people you saw packing were part of the Loud stereo/ like to fight group, then it's probably best to kill of the meeting spot. If you don't want to do that, then people in IPS tee-shirts patrolling the lot is your best bet. No warnings. If you're drinking alcohol at a CAR meet, gone. If you're being a fucking idiot (jumping on car hoods) gone. If you're caught littering, gone. If you're asked to turn down your stereo and don't, gone. Etc, etc. You guys had a good idea by meeting on privately owned property, but some rules should have been enforced from night 1. It may be too late now. Perhaps it would be a good idea to kill the spot for now and resurrect it in the spring.
  13. It definately sounds like it means business.
  14. This is pretty old. Someplace around there the net there is a video that was sped up and set to Yakkity Sax.
  15. I'm thinkin the drive is toast. Froze it over night and played with it in the morn. It didn't make any funny noises for a few minutes, but Windows still wouldn't see it.
  16. I guess I'll be keeping an eye out for a silver eclipse with a missing fender.
  17. A friend of mine asked me to take a look at his dead harddrive to see if any files off it could be saved. The hard drive is a Maxtor 160GB ATA-133 drive. I have had drives fail before, and if I didn't try to boot off them, I could still access and copy the files off them. This drive is giving me more trouble. I can hear the drive spin up, but then it begins making a horrible noise. It's almost like a beeping, which I can only assume is the head bouncing off the spinning plates. I've tried plugging it into one of my IDE ports, but I can't get anything other than noise out of it. Windows won't even recognize that it is there. It's not listed in the device manager either. Is there any software I can use to try to access the drive? Is there someplace local they can take it to have the data extracted? Dell is coming Friday to do a warranty repair, so the clock is ticking. Thanks in advance.
  18. Looks liek you're doin good on the bike! Did you ever get new tires Brian?
  19. How does a HP limit make the fishing better?
  20. I hope you went ahead and hit it while you were all the way out there to get your wallet from your girlfriend. I filled up for $2.28 at Kroger today. Oh, and I spent my holiday doin a little fishin!

    New computer

First off, the topic starter stated that he has a budget of ~$400 for new hardware, not ~$4000. Secondly many of the new mainstream graphics cards will infact assist with video converting and editing. The entire Radeon X1K line features AVIVO which apparently is supposed to assist with encoding and decoding video. Apparently it's up to 4 times faster than CPU alone. Thirdly, since I doubt Ponyfreak works with Pixar, I'm sure he would get along just fine with 2GB of RAM. And finally, since he has stated that he is on a budget, an integrated Raid-0 would be a good solution.
