  1. So far. I noticed your not going after another Grom
  2. Talked with a dealer from Georgia down at the iron horse this weekend. He had nothing good to say about the Ducatis and reliability. He claimed 2200 for a tip over in the garage.
  3. XD3 for four years no visor lift but did resort to wheel weights to dampen vibration. Pricey but worth it. Newer version is supposed to have addressed all of the short comings.
  4. Bump yes or no and why? I don't like infomercials.
  5. The versys is an extremely good bike as is the weestrom for what they were built for. I've seen both bikes on long multiple day if not week tours they offer great fuel economy, reasonable comfort and decent power at a rock bottom price. What they lack besides raw power and electronics is more than compensated for in there very basic nature. As for daily commuting they are both great. As for the new strom, Suzuki has made a lot of money on the original don't bet that they will mess this one up. The multi is not in the same league with either the GS or the Tenere they are touring bikes that can be ridden off-road.
  6. I concur there is no true beauty in the category. Nothing can be said bad about either strom. Ridden both love them both but find a deal on a ktm and your golden. Love my katoom but the resale sucks which is great for a prospective buyer.
  7. I've got nothing but love for my 990. Rode my first in 06 when the 990 was first introduced was'nt looking for a replacement for my current ride but infatuated just the same. Two years later my bike was totaled and I had the opportunity to make the jump. Crazy cool extremely charismatic and a total hoot to ride on or off road. If you want a giant dirt bike that can cover reasonable distances at a good clip there is no better. Jumping a street bike never gets dull. Rode Wayne with my buddy on a wee I can still hear the clunk behind me in my mind. Wee is a price point bike. The triumph is the closest out right now. G800 is not in the same league and the tenere is meant to compete with a ms or gs.
  8. Ktm 990 owner for four years. No problems and wouldn't trade it for the world. Hundred mile daily commute and thirty six thousand miles it would still be my pick.except for the new 1190 coming one day. Wheelsports has a used 08 I think. If you have any questions I'd be glad to answer them.
  9. PM me and I will check price (Sprocket Specialists Dealer)and get back to you in the morning. chris
  10. My wife and I ride our two boys everywere. Granted on scooters because of there ages (last year 2 and 4 ). So far we haven't even recieved a passing glance from law enforcement. My thoughts our it truly is up to us as responsible motorcyclists and as parents to manage risk as best we can. That seems to be true for almost all asspects of our childrens lives so nobody should deem us as irresponsible for allowing them to enjoy all the time together that we can.
  11. I will be game. It will be me and one possibly two others. Please post if your plans change.
