Here's Suzuki's Statement; The following is from Suzuki... Just a few short months after winning the 2006 AMA Superbike Championship, Yoshimura Suzuki is already preparing for the upcoming 2007 road race season. The teamÂ’s talented lineup for next year includes the return of both the reigning 2006 AMA Superbike Champion Ben Spies as well as six-time AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin. Joining Spies and Mladin for the 2007 season is newly signed Tommy Hayden. The new Yoshimura Suzuki trio rode together for the first time at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, Calif., on Wednesday, Nov. 1. This was their first outing on the brand-new 2007 Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 Superbike. The goal was to prepare for the more formal test in Malaysia later this month, according to Team Manager Don Sakakura. “We didnÂ’t have much in the way of testing components on Wednesday,†said Sakakura. “Those will arrive for the Malaysia test on Nov. 15 -17. This was more of a ‘Superbike shakedown.Â’ Obviously, Tommy Hayden is the newest member of our team and we wanted to get him on the Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 for a few laps. This was the first time for Tommy and our staff to work together and we wanted to get him as comfortable as possible on the bike as quickly as possible.†Suzuki signed Hayden, 28, to race the GSX-R1000 in the premier Superbike class and the Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R600 in the Supersport class for the next two years. Kentucky native Hayden is a two-time AMA Supersport Champion, having won the prestigious title in both 2005 and 2004. “The Willow test was a lot different for me because IÂ’ve been riding another bike for a long time,†said Hayden about his first ride on the Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 Superbike. “It was real exciting, just trying to take it all in. I was real happy and everybody on the team was great. TheyÂ’re really knowledgeable and I feel like we accomplished what we set out to accomplish. This was my first opportunity to work with my crew chief, Katsu Yanagawa, and I just tried to learn from him as much as I could. WeÂ’re taking things slow, trying to get our communication down so he understands what IÂ’m looking for and I understand what kind of procedures he likes to do in testing. It was a good day.†Newly crowned AMA Superbike Champion Spies, 22, also put in some laps at the Willow Springs shakedown and is optimistic about the 2007 season. Spies will defend his AMA Superbike Championship and will also race in the AMA Superstock class next year. “It was good to get back out on the Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 after a few weeks off,†said 22-year-old Spies. “We didnÂ’t do a whole lot of laps, more like we were just getting familiar with the new 2007 bike. But it looks like weÂ’ll have another great motorcycle to race this year.†Australian Mladin echoed SpiesÂ’ sentiments. “The shakedown of the new Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 was awesome,†said 34-year-old Mladin, who will again race the Superbike class only. “We did a few laps at Willow Springs that were surprisingly good. It looks like Suzuki has delivered another great motorbike that makes even more horsepower than last yearÂ’s bike.Ââ€Â

kawboy's taking a three day vacation courtesy of Franklin County Hospitality Hotel this weekend. I'll tell ya one thing about him, he doesn't play well with others. Not sure what kind of fuel nagga is, just be careful. I don't know why he likes me but that's the side of him I want to stay on. Do what you want, he runs Parsons Ave and the quansut hut looking sports bar/pool hall on Sullivant. I run the Northside, Cleveland Ave/Oakland Park, maybe we've met. Not too many sport bikes though at the Aragon and Pit Stop, couple clubhouses there too. Stop in and ask for Dirty Love, or Jeff Paskey. I run by both names. Pops

To quote the kawboy (only as I can), now we have two tampons sideways. Kawboy! You're a douchebag, but you and I know each other. Don't taunt this boy into the hood. I've run those bars, that's where we met. The reason we don't go there is the simple fact that we want to come home. Truth be known to intelligent life forces (unlike you and Lotz), walk in, sit down, order, and shut the fuck up! Just because you're a mullett boy with an 87 bike that hasn't run since 88 doesn't give you the right to bark. I love to fuck with you, only because I know you and I are straight up. Leave this boy alone. He's only carrying a knife into a gunfight with you. Be nice, Asshole. Pops

Glad you're here. Satan's quite the throttle jockey, you'll probabaly have your handsful with his bike. Pops

Gotchya! I choose to humor the ex beatnik :colorzYellow: Ha! JJ jokin'. Got a line on two 05 Graves R6's plus parts last night. Trying to keep expenses down for 07 so I can get him something new for 08 but it's looking like Clutch may just end up with one BadAss 05 R6. Pops

Can't believe a fem tossing a diamond! Pawning it, yes. Pitching it, No!
-
I'm really confused?
-
No doubt! That is way cool! There was a fourteen year old that was FAST at the Mid Ohio club races this year. If your a parent and your son/daughter is into it, gettem out there early. Clutch is already older than the up and comers in MotoGP, Djoo is right at their age now. Motorsports just keeps getting younger. The cool thing about motorcycle racers is that they are approachable. For the most part the ego isn't there like the four wheelers, I hope it stays that way. Pops

How does this happen? http://www.minigpx.com/news/article/?ne ... icle=24866

Yes Dear! Shit I forgot the time change last night. I'm going back to bed.
-
Pretty sure that's a bad idea unless it comes from female logic. Now I'm piss, bitchin, and moanin' about having to be at work at 6:00AM on Saturday morning. Here's my logic. The weather is shitty here in central Ohio. What a great day to sleep in past 4:45AM. Conversation as follows; PP, "My ass is whipped. Oh well at least I got some OT in, that way I can buy some more race parts." Getting Shaggy, "Umm, don't you think there's other things you need to spend your money on?" Did I miss something here? Pops

Tennis is not a sport! That 'puter game sucks! Ohhh I see Pops getting on his soapbox tonight!

This looks too funny to miss. http://www.meetnorbit.com/

Welcome aboard. DualSports Rock! Did my first venture on a KTM in May for a couple weeks. Nothing like it. I have a new mission in life. Pops

Now that's some funny shit! Reminds me of the morning I squirted Sinex in my eyes thinking it was Visene. Pops

Not only do I make up my own songs, I make up my own words. Dude, I totally took this reply out of context and have sent him a public apology. He was quoting something from SuperBikes, laughing with me, not firing at me. I really blew this one. My reply to him was out of line and I apologize here also. Pops

There's a really cool book by Daniel Webster. It's titled "Dictionary" Pops

I can be such a jerk. I was venting on the WERA BBS about Speed. Here's what I started out with. I'll try to c&c the rest but it may be in replies. Speed Channel Frustration -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Am I the only one frustrated by their programming times or am I just the only one that has a job to pay the dish bill, so I can get home just in time to watch the very end of the very last race. Then I get the luxury of Superbikes, as Kid Rock says, "WOW!". I can only watch so many stoppies, wheelies, and burnouts. I don't care how many names they have for them, they're still the same. I want to see them on the victory lap of a race, even if I have to listen to Greg White, at least I get to see the race. At least I get to catch Sunday races, but a lot of you are on the track at that time. I know, Tivo, dvr, tape, and what not. I'm already spending my money so my son can race. I'm not giving anymore to promote a crack head's tv schedule. Oh yeah. Breaking news, Speed won't replie to my emails either. They need to take a lesson or two from Yama-saurus. His customer service and response was great and I now have a liner on the wayfor my TourMaster Intake, thanks to his dilligence. Pops Here's the first. All I gotta say Chalklinin' Get with the new lifestyle punk! Then mine, WOW!! Punk? I think I touched a nerve there, shouldn't have left that one hanging out of your pocket, or was that a feeling that I stepped on? Chalklining? Isn't that what second graders draw in front of their class? Ooops, sorry, I used the word, class. Yeah, that was from the one and only Superbikes that I forced myself to sit through. Pretty sure it was a quote from the Union Electrician (IBEW) with his Local # tatted on his arm. San Francisco wasn't it? Go figure! Local 37, International Union of Elevator Constructors here bro, or should I say broette? All I'm asking for are the races to be on so the working class will be able to watch them. I know Tivo is coming for me. I just have to opinionate before I fold. Pops

That's some funny shit. I saw this link a while back, personally I ride a Harley so I can save the buck twenty nine. For the rest of you, especially those with geared valve drives, retard your timing andf use second gear a lot. Pops

This I gotta see! :colorzYellow:

Those who remember the seventies weren't there, I'm just happy there were cameras, so I guess I really was. Actually, Yota looks more like a Beatnik, than a Hippie. Find that in your American Heritage, Rosie! You sure that's palm and not ass? Oh wait a minute.... I forgot, you were in the Eboz pits at Mid Ohio. Dammit Jim! Somebody slap me, I'm starting to sound like kawboy. What's everyone doing for the final MotoGP race Sunday @ 3:30. I got it on the dish. Pops
-
Fuckin' kids. Can't even get it right. It's Hippie, hippy is what your last date looked like. Pops
