The fun has just begun! We do a Chilly Chille run every New Years day. No matter what the weather is, we ride! C'mon, the more, the merrier. Food's free and the commoradarie (I know that's spelled wrong) is fantastic! I never put my bike up for the winter. Had a great ride Saturday, might break the 60K mark before the CC Run. Pops

Pedro's right. There is an Ohio statute that allows any place of business to post, there is official signage with the statute number on it, trust me, I see it every day. Time for a Pops soapbox story. A little over four years ago I was lead to believe that I was a hunted man. Yes, it was over a woman and things went south in my life real fast. I have a friend that was a POW in Viet Nam for doing his job as a sniper, his story is told to very few and I am one of the fortunates. The one thing that he told me was, "No matter how tough you think you are, when you take another man's last dying breath, whether he is your enemy or not, you have to live with that for the rest of your life. Make sure that is the last option you have!" I ran that through my head a thousand times over the weeks of mental torment. I had gotten to the point of picturing my wounded or dead dogs. I knew where I was going to kill this person in my house, and I knew what the brain stain was going to look like on the wall behind him as he came up my stairs. I had now mentally prepared myself to take another man's life and I was a wreck, carrying everywhere I went and looking over my shoulder. At 11:30 one night I hear the gravel crunching in my driveway, dogs go ballistic, I grab my .45 off the nightstand. The dogs are in full attack mode, I'm locked and loaded. This is it, the pounding comes on the door, dogs charge. I'm yelling at the top of my lungs, "Go away! I've got a gun, I will shoot you!" Dogs head down the stairs and I follow, so much for my plan. I turn the corner, gun aimed head high to the back door. I am now pointing a loaded gun at someone who I loved very much, thinking it was someone different. She wanted her remote because her new boyfriend was in town. She could have died that night, and almost did. A few days later I settled down, made some calls and handled my problem another way. Situation settled. My point is, don't carry because it's cool. Protect what you have, but if it's replaceable, let them have it. I don't know what it's like to take a man's last dying breath. I do know what it's like to prepare yourself to do that, and that was a mental train wreck for me. Pops

I agree, was actually hoping to some punk get his shit handed to him, oh well. The problem is that most business' have their place posted for no firearms. So if you do have the permit and carry where you're not supposed to, you're breaking the law. If you don't have a permit and carry, you're breaking the law. So you might as well just carry. Pops

Gotta love the red one. Is the black a flat color or is that just the way the pic comes out? Pops

Bon fires at the PPP!

Clutch and Nick just called, they'll be here in about an hour. It's seven. My friend from Cinci just showed up and we have enough fire wood to heat New Albany.

Not talking about the Hondas either. Woke up this morning to frantic messages from two friends trying to see if I was OK. No idea what they were talking about. Been fighting a cold and went to bed early, real early. Walked outside at 5:00AM, all was cool here. Still no idea. Get to work and the same from my co workers. Turns out Pops slept through the sirens and destruction. The PPP survived, whaddya expect? If you cross the street, go through the beanfield, and on the other side of the tree line, the shit hit the fan. Now we really have a reason to party Saturday night. Pops

I guess it beats bending one's tag. Kinda like asking Clutch why his tag is bent up. "Oh yeah Dad. Would you mind straightening that when you leave?" Pops

That's funny stuff. I ride my Dresser leaned farther than that triangle. Pops

Talk to Clutch, we just went through the same deal. Keep it loose, but not baggy, you need room to move. I think those are metric sizes, we were going to get one and they sold quick, so add ten to your normal size. A 44 would be a 54. You'll need either the 54 or 56. Pops

Glad to hear you can make it KB, looking forward to your company. It's a ride to get here, here's the directions. 33 south to Meigs County, we only have one rest stop and there's usually a badmitton setup there if you're game. If not just keep on going til you see the blacked out Yukon XL, third trailer on the left. Drive past the dogs, they're cool, we'll be out back. Pops

Dude! Clutch made us proud! Orange shirt freshman and all. Wednesday was a bad night and we drove three hours for nothing but a promise to finish during Sunday morning practice. We were hoping to make adjustments on Wednesday for Sunday's races. That didn't happen. Sunday morning, on the track. Temps warm up enough for lap times. 1:28+'s, that just isn't going to work. I'm sticking with your suspension advice. Leave the Power Commander alone. Front end's dialed in, rear end sucks, tire pressures all over the board. Turns out my guage took a dump and over the shoulder it went, nothing but net, right into the trash can. Who says White Men can't shoot? SuperBike Unlimited, we ran 1:20's. GT1 and SuperBike 600, 1:18.534. Once the leaders passed everyone, Clutch gave them everything they could handle. He's the first to have a license issued during trophy presentation. We've been borrowing a trailer and tonight taking it back he said, "Dad, I really want to get on the track with Djoo, I've got a lot to learn." Sounds like you're obligated to making the party here Saturday Night. Pops

Hey, Thanks buddy, it was good to meet you also. Hope you can make the party here next Saturday night. Pops

Clutch and I are both wound for sound! Sunday is our first race, Nelson Ledges. Not a track day, not a mock race, when the green flag flies, he's got the accelerator pinned for turn one! Time to dice!! I am so excited for you Clutch! Wednesday was a wasted day for the both of us, the only track time we had was walking the track. They canceled the trackside ambulance because of the pending storms that we never saw. Fasttrack's decision, we disappointingly abided by it. Anyway, he will be able to give up some practice time Sunday to finish out, and race in the three races we're registered for. Tomorrow will be busy for us finalizing his bike and heading to Y-Town to spend the night at Dad's house. We'll be track side at 7:00AM Sunday, races start after the lunch break around, who knows, 12:30, 1:00, maybe. We were hoping to use Wednesday as a tuning day for all the changes we made with his suspension and to his Power Commander. Jim, at Iron Pony, had lent us his laptop to make further adjustments that day, plus we made some drastic suspension changes that we wanted to try, thanks to Drew #852 for lending some advice (you earned #1 for a reason!). Thank You Gettingshaggy for taking care of our dogs, Thank You CMC for lending us your laptop, and Thank You all for your support. Team name will be announced at the party here, that you are all invited to, 10/14. Jeff

Eighteen years old, 1974. Just graduated from Chaney High in Youngstown. On my first bike, a 74 Honda CB360T, crashed it three times on the way home from picking it up because I didn't know how to ride a bike. What's missing is the Captain America helmet. Rode it all the way to Virginia Beach that summer and on to Norfolk for the Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young concert. I'll have to dig a little deeper, but I still have the Sunday clipping from the Youngstown Vindicator of taking second place at Meander Dragstrip, pretty sure it was under 15's. Got beat by a Kaw. 750 two stroke triple. It's all about reaction times, always has been, always will. I had the chance to run a stock framed 750 for a night, lost severly. At 110 the wobble from that stock frame would blur your vision. BTW, not sure what a wave cap is, but my hair was so curly, I used to wear a stocking cap, beenies or tobogans to you young'ns, at night just to flatten my hair. Thank God for 75 when the perms were hip. I didn't have to spend the money and had a fro like nobodies business. Did you notice the hippie moccasins? Pops
