  1. Sounds like we were all out riding last night. The nice thing about this weather, I have to look at the positive, is the fact that there are less bugs to clean off. It was a nice night for a ride. Pops
  2. Just checked the weather for here and there, SHITEEEE! Calling for an inch of rain up there. Looking at the schedule, Ownedjoo has two races tomorrow afternoon. I'm jonesin' to go, might be in the truck now. Pops
  3. Things are looking good and getting gooder! It's definately gonna be a wet day on the road, just think of Owendjoo on the track. Get your rain gear ready. Pops

    $8,000.00

How cool is this? Remember the story of last week's benefit poker run for the baby that needs a transplant (kidney or liver, I forget)? I told you we crushed the 4K mark with the shaving of heads and goatees. I just found out the grand total was $8,000! That goes directly to the family to help pay pay for the soon to be everlasting expenses. The poker runs are generally of the HD crowd, but for a specific reason. The money always goes to something good and all bikes are always welcome. The more the merrier, Sunday afternoon cookout at The Kickstand is my goal to bring us all together. My goal, "No Gap." Pops
  5. I may not be able to go now, and I'm not a happy camper about it either. If I am able to go I may have to beat feet on the freeway so I can catch as much as I can up there. I've never taken the route through Centerburg, I've got a lot of friends up there, it looks good though. Pops
  6. SportBike riders out of Michigan puts on a pretty relaxed track day. Pretty much tape over your lights and have decent tires, plus leathers. The only problem with that is both times Clutch and I went to Mid Ohio for their track days we spent two hours of down time each time. The first was due to an oil filter coming off, the second was an oil drain plug. I was just glad it wasn't Clutch's, there were a lot of pissed off riders. Pops
  7. Go to the home page, scroll down from Ownedjoo's article, after reading it, and check out The Kickstand III. You are all over it buddy! Pops
  8. It really all boils down to the simple pleasures of life, at least to me. A simple pleasure has finally reached my area. I bought the PPP back in '92. Clutch and I moved in and enjoyed life in the country. The only drawback was pizza, or lack of. The only game in town was Eagles Pizza in New Albany. Now don't get me wrong, they serve up some mighty fine pie. But after a while, especially for this pizza officionado, you just had to face the fact that no one delivers out here and if you want something different you have to drive to it. One of the perks that I received from auctioning off shaving the thirty plus year old stache and goatee at Saturday's benefit for the baby's transplant operation, was a free 14" pie from Donatos. Well guess what Ladies and Gentlemen? There is now a Donatos less than two miles from the PPP and they deliver! I am one happy camper tonight. Like I said, "It's the simple things in life." Pops
  9. I just shaved! Leave my Hog outta this. Pops
  10. I'm in. I know what we could do with the money, pay the cook.
  11. I don't know if either one of you read RoadRacerX or not. There's been quite a bit of discussion of women and racing, one subject was their own class. I'm staying out of that argument, I didn't make it to this age and still keep my good looks from getting in the middle 8), I learned that real fast raising two girls and a son. I used to run around with an expert WERA racer back in the nineties, Karen Colway from the Syracuse, NY area. She ran a Honda GP125 and a Yamaha FZR1000, Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum. Pops
  12. So far it looks like Yotaman and I are planning on riding up Saturday for the day, nothing carved in stone yet. I gotta see Owendjoo race! I only know one other #1, (AMA Hillclimber) and it is so COOL to see someone you can relate to with that #1 Plate!!!!!. This kid has busted his ass all season to get where he is, let's all support him! Pops
  13. That is FANTASTIC! Congratulations to you. Pops
  14. It was brought to my attention that next Sunday will be my last cookout at Kickstands. Clutch and I are off to the races from there. As usual, a good time was had by all tonight, thank you all for showing up. I did get into the cornhole games and just in case you didn't notice, I'm not one of those who donned the Pink Helmet. That's right, I rock! Newly shaved face and all. Let's all show up next Sunday for my grand finale. My money says this ten year old Dresser's rear tire will out smoke anything you bring! I'll be more than happy to be DD, rent a short bus if I have to, to get you home safe. Please don't take the chance. Pretty sure you're all short bus eligible. Also, while I have your attention, Saturday night, October 14, here at the Pops Party Plantation will be the party of the millennium. Rock your world news will be announced that night! This is not a maybe I will, maybe I won't, bon fire. It is MANDATORY!! If you don't make it, don't show up at my house in Costa Rica expecting guest privileges. Will one of you computer smart people attach these pics to my story at Ohioriders. Pops
  15. Funny guy. Pretty sure those stickers, #3 and #8, on your rust bucket pretty much tell it all. You can peel the 8 off and 3 is really pushing your IQ.

    Hello

Hope so, It's the last one before Clutch and I are off to the races. Pops
  17. This may not last for long, so check it out while you can. Not His called me yesterday after the benefit poker run. I headed to Whiskey Dicks in time for the auction. As it always does, one thing leads to another, thanks to the auctioneer who, at this time, looks like CL Sanders. He announces that if we hit 2K he'll shave his head and face. I step up to the plate, raise the bar and I'll shave the thirty plus year old goatee and moustache. Pony tail steps up and says he'll cut the pony tail off and the bar is raised again. Thanks to all you pole vaulters, my face is now clean, CL Sanders face and head are the same, and Ponytail no longer has one. It was actually long enough to donate to Locks For Love. Grab your camera and join us at Kickstand's today for the cookout. Pops
  18. Great shot. Have you tried Nelson Ledges? Fasttrax puts on a good one there. When Clutch and I were there this past Wednesday we noticed that about a third of the riders were fems. Keep up the good work. Pops

    Hello

Taken or not, it doesn't matter. Stop in at The Kickstand for the Sunday afternoon cookout, it's free and I'm cookin'. Pops
  20. Great shot at Putnam. I'm drawing a total blank here. I know I've been there, I just don't remember where it is, IL, IN? Pops
  21. That's funny stuff. I just looked in the mirror and remembered I no longer have a goatee and moustache for the first time in over thirty years and I was sober. Amazing how much cash people will pony up at a charity event to see three men get shaved. Pops
  22. Is that Poland OH or Poland Europe. I have family in both (as I hear sport bikes screaming down Walnut St.) Pops
  23. Ya know.... You remind me of Mr. Ed. Sway back, horseteeth, and nothing but mouth! BTW, we take care of the elevators at Franklin County. Your "mouf" has quite the reputation there. Here's the deal. I'm cooking at the Kickstand again this Sunday. Show up and pick your poison. My Dresser will be as ready as the R6. Compared to your mouf, 58K on the Dresser is nothing! You pick the bikes and the route. If I were you, I'd challenge the R6, that way when you take your whipped ass back to your girlfriend at the sheep farm you can tell her you got whipped by a bowl of rice instead of a Hog. Pops
