  1. Mad amounts of oil on top the plug, about 1/4 quart, LOL. I changed the plugs, wires, cap and the car still idles like hell. No oil on top the plugs anymore though.
  2. Im not pulling over for anything unless its a cop car, I dont care if he is in uniform. I dont know what the law is but anyone can get a uniform and act like a cop.
  3. Thats not important. You got 3 garages to choose from and they are all guarded by weapons of mass destruction. If ya want to borrow it, let me know.
  4. There is one in my garage.
  5. my check engine light goes on and off at random,,

    Crank Shaft Bolt

Heat and an impact gun should work. Its has worked on all the hondas I have worked on. Might have to work it for a bit but should come loose.
  7. I have one in my CRX. It is very light so it takes a lot of getting used to but I like it. It helped out acceleration a ton.
  8. I think I know of the car you are talking about. I havent seen it since last year though. Is it red with no bodykit or anything on the outside. Just a huge ass Dunk exhaust that you could stick a football in. I remember this car from a show last year over by easton and he pulled out a dyno sheet that had some kind of a 3XX fwhp figure on it. Damn nice sleeper.
  9. I think if it is tuned right,(Your best bet is to read up on it and try shit yourself, dont trust a shop) you could have a fast VTEC turbo Honda. My friend just put a Drag Gen 3 kit on his 98 Integra GSR and that thing pulls like hell. He could have killed my Turbo setup but there is also alot more money involved. Just take your time and tune it right on low boost before you go trying to turn it up too high.
  10. Just to give you something to compare that too, I have a dyno graph in front of me of a B16 Hatch with intake, exhaust, header,no cat and it only put down 151 hp and 107 torque. Keep in mind I have way less money in my engine too than the B16 setup. Just something to ponder.
  11. I dynoed at 186.4 fwhp and 173.1 fwtrq on around 7 pounds of boost and no fuel. According to the wide band O2, I was running a 15.5 air fuel ratio which is dangerously lean. I was able to turn fuel up a little but not much. I have since then added a s-afc to get more fuel to my motor and am awaiting the next dyno day from Brian. I am also running 11 pounds of boost on it now too since I now have fuel. This current setup should put me around 210 at the wheels. Keep in mind this is on stock honda internals.
  12. Why do YOU think he is using those cams? Also what "besides the drawing" makes you think it is turbo? I know why he is using those cams, but do you? I have presented extremely thourough answers here, now it's your turn </font>I was just fucking trying to lighten up the conversation between you and Rob. I do not own a VTEC motor and do not care to so I do not read up much on VTEC motors. I know the whole idea behind VTEC and how if tuned right, it can make more power than a non vtec turbo or non turbo motor but if we get back to the whole point of this post, it is about hp for dollar. I can take my non vtec motor and get headwork done to it to flow way better than a VTEC head. The cost is still less than if I would have bought a VTEC motor. I am not doubting your knowledge on cars or motors at all. It can just get very expensive and this guy from what I understand does not want to spend a ton of money off the bat. Anyway, this whole post is getting old so Im done.
  13. Oh and one more thing, check out this link http://www.todaracing.com/B162.html . Notice the picture of the civic hatch turbo at the top of the page. It is on the page with the VTEC KILLER CAMS on it. I wonder why he changed out his stock VTEC cams?
  14. I would just like to say Rob you are correct about the VTEC KILLER CAMS. They are called exactly that and are made by Toda Racing, a highly honorable player in the import racing world. Link here http://www.toda-racing.co.jp/product/onemake_e/b16/b16-05.html
  15. Can't we all just get along.
  16. I am assuming you are talking about the first gen brown top motor vs. the black top second gen motor. Buy the black top one. It is a newer motor.
  17. I would say you could probably do it for $5500. That is with the motor, all new bottom end shit, turbo cams, and a turbo kit. If you are interested in doing this setup, let me know. I have tons of info on it as I will be doing close to the same build.
  18. A ZC with a turbo and slicks would never hit 11's. I am talking about a fully built ZC turbo with slicks and I have seen that setup go 11's.
  19. A grand in headwork just to get it to flow like a VTEC head? I dont know who is doing your machine work but that is a ripoff. Like you said though, to each his own.
  20. Here is my motto. FUCK VTEC. I think they invented it for ricers to brag about or something. If you are staying naturally aspirated, its alright but definetely not for turbo man. Do what you want though.
  21. It all depends on how fast you want to go and how much money you have to work with. It is very easy to get a ZC and a turbo kit for around $2800, about the cost of a B16 with mounts, axles, shift linkage and all the other bullshit. You could spend another $2000 from JG Engine Dynamics and get a fully built ZC block that will withstand 25 pounds of boost. Now you have about $4800 in a motor that in a CRX will easily hit high 11's on slicks, maybe even a little better. Last time I checked a price for a type r motor from nippon-motors.com, I think they wanted like around $4500 and that motor is definately not going to run high 11's. If you have infinite amounts of money, buy a integra LS and turbo the hell out of that and build it. IMO, that is the best motor to turbo because of the lack of VTEC.

    need some help...

They like to try and jump out of the tranny sometimes. Just check where the cable goes into the top of the tranny and make sure it is in all the way. That should help, if not, maybe you have some kind of short.
  23. Im talking dollar for dollar, the cost of a B16 swap done right and a Turbo ZC swap are about the same and you will have more speed with the turbo ZC. I have friends with both so I know. It all depends on what you want to do. I would rather do something different like build up a ZC to turbo then do a b16 swap that everyone else does. Just my .02
  24. For the money it takes to do the B16 swap right, you could have a turbo ZC and kill B16's. Trust me, B16's arnt shit against a turbo ZC.
  25. Taran, just call my cell phone and Ill give ya the info. I know someone doing the same swap right now.
