1. I have a T-5 laying in my shed that I am thinking about using. The tranny originally would pop out of first gear as soon as you let out on the clutch. It would take several trys to get it to stay. A friend of mine tore it down and replaced the first gear, snycro, and the hub assembly. This lasted for about 100 miles. It is back to doing the same thing. Could it be a bent shift fork? What else could it be? I will let you all guess what car this is for. All input appreciated.
  2. Scott,

I want to take you down to see a guy in south end when you come home. I know this guy who does an awesome job with cages. He uses chrome moly and the welds look like a work of art. This one mustang roll bar had better paint then the car itself. You could see your reflection from all the clear coat on it. Plus he is resonable.

if i were to get nitrous on the acorn for shits and giggles if i only ran a 35 shot, would i be able to run it often?(like 2 times a week?)

also since the size of the shot isn't too big could i keep my stock exhaust piping? or would i need to get 2.25inch piping....?

Unless you plan on using at least a 75hp jetting. I would not waste my time. You are not going to feel anything major with a 35hp jetting. A friend of mine has 75hp shot on a prelude and I must say it woke it up. However his car makes 150 at the wheels on the motor allready. If you get it, I can put it on for you.

  4. Manual cars came standard with a 2.73 gear and 3.08 as an option. Matic cars came with the 3.08 standard and 3.27 as an option. Did u have the 3.27 gears put in? Not many people put in a 3.27 for a manual car unless it makes a ton of power with little rpm like my turbo car. 3.55 is usually the minimum gear to go with. Jack the car up and spin the tire 1 revolution. Count the number of times the driveshaft turns to verify the gear in the rear end. If it is a 3.27, it should spin aprox. 3 and 1/4 times.
  5. Set timing at 16 degrees. Install a set of 3.73 gears. I was referring to the Throttle position voltage. Not your battery voltage. It needs to be as close to .99 volts as possible. Finally practice driving. It is going to take a little more to get your car going since it is a convertible. If you decide you want some work done to the car. Give me a call. I am doing work on the side along with the dyno. I am sure a few people on the board can tell you that I know a thing or 2 about these cars. Hope this helps.
  6. Give me an exact dollar amount and I will give you the best combination of parts for that money. Your 8.8 rear end is more then strong enough. There are cars in outlaw running in the eights with 9 inch tubes. I will get back to you once you have a dollar amount.
