Looks sweet! Only beach cruisers have soft seats Wear some spandex with a lil padding and lift your arse off the seat when you see an obstacle!

there's a 70's + category. the one guy that competes in it is 83, i believe. But he might be 71 I cant remember. he did the loop in under 3 hours. that's amazing.

Good job. Are the races fat, slow, noob friendly?
lol...thanks...yeah....there's a novice division with the same age separation. the novice races are typically shorter distances too.
-
I placed...9th there were 25 people in my division (age 30-39, SPORT). In the entire men's SPORT division there were 85 racers and I think I came in 25th maybe.

I did the mohican race this weekend. Trail was in excellent condition. Free beer at the end too I finished 26.5 miles in 2:34. Great turn out as well.

A good bike will hold up well...unless you like to run in to big trees
-
thanks for the offer! i'm a 32 inseam but will give it a try anyway!
-
i need a fat bike. have you ridden it in the snow yet?
-
I'd choose Mohican every time if the distances were the same. P1, P2, and Chestnut Ridge are our only close options for Cbus folks
-
trail head for p1 is at B
parking for p2 is at C
trail head for p2 is across africa road at D.

This is the girlfriend's trainer....she upgraded.

There's a race a Mohican this weekend. I plan on doing the Sport race. There are 3 levels...Expert, Sport, and Novice. Expert/Sport do the full 24 miles. Novice does an 8 mile loop.
-
About 6 miles.
-
Bump...down to $90
-
Bump...down to $35

P1 and P2 are the "intermediate" and "advanced tracks", right? which is which?
i would say P1 is more intermediate. Less obstacles and less hills. P2 has a few hills and many bridges. They're both about 6 miles long.
-
you're welcome.
-
Be sure to check trail conditions before riding. Muddy days destroy trails so stay off if possible...especially P1 and P2.

Did two loops of mohican yesterday. 2:57 the first loop...2:58 the second. had 10 min break in between loops to refill on water. Walking the steps in to work this morning hurt.

hit up Star Hill Trails today in Newark. Awesome trails some really fun down hill but the uphills were killer!!! Got some Jimmie Johns afterwards for lunch. Never had it before but it was good!
Planning on hitting up Alum Creek next Sunday. It is the place with 2 parts I hear you guys talking about correct?
Alum has two trails...P1 and P2. P1 is typically wet. Smaller hills, more ruts. P2 drys faster, has a few climbs, and has narrow bridges to cross.

I've been fixing up the man cave and i'm thinking of getting/building/buying a MAME game console. Anyone on this gun forum....errrr, motorcycle forum have one?
-
I have no idea what your talking about but sounds like fun.
Your insane. Let me know if you ever ride either of the Alums. Id like to try and keep up and learn some things.
I'll do alum...maybe not til after June 1. I dont want to fall off one of the narrow bridges and break something.
-
Mohican this weekend...not sure which day but leaning towards sunday. Wheels in motion at sun up...2 loops is the goal.

My first bike was a 600...cbr f3. I never owned a bike before this but would ride friends' dirt bikes so I knew how to shift
I'd just buy your boss's bike and go easy on the throttle...a fast bike is only fast when you make it fast - it doesn't go by itself. you'll be fine.
