I washed it 2 rides before this one though...haha. I was due though. I bought it in 2006 I think. It was still fine, just that I wear things out quick. P.S, hugs don't get you pregnant..
Put the claim in and they called today. Will be dropping it off tomorrow. They said they'll buy me any helmet I want. I'm getting another Shoei RF1000. That helmet saved my life. I can't believe I bounced my head off the street and then slid face first scraping down the road. Jacket did amazing too. I'm forever in debt to the RF1000 and my JR Speedmaster now. $100 deductible for the win.
I'm saddened by you. You never commented in the thread about my wreck "ninja down". *sniff, sniff* It's all good. We have our next appointment on the 20th. She is showing way more after 3 months than a regular pregnancy. It's cool as hell to know they're in there. Family has been sending us clothes here and there so we have them hanging in the closet waiting to be worn. The next ultra sound pictures we get I will post them up for you if you'd like to see them?
Man, I swear, it's like when I'm on the bike I see the worst drivers. Glad you avoided a deadly situation. Some people just only think of themselves, like most drivers do.
Thanks Phil! Oh...and gloves. MJ - They're re-writing history books for schools next week the news reported to put in this historical date. You make me laugh.
I have a JR speedmaster jacket that is perforated a bit, but I just say screw it and sweat my ass off. I always think to my self, "sweat wipes off, road rash doesn't." I just avoid stop and go traffic and stay on roads that I am constantly moving on to keep the wind going. Sweatings good for you as long as you stay hydrated.
Thanks all. PSA for a full-face helmet for sure. I cringe thinking of the opposite when I hit my face flat on the road. I don't even want anyone to have to experience that with an open face. I had no control how I hit either. It happened faster than a second. Blew my mind how quick it happened. I swear it was at the speed of light how fast I went from looking at the turn to seeing the road. Mako - I hope you make it too and many more. Please beat my record.
Thanks Street. It's much later now and my ribs are sore. Also, my Sidi's must've done a good job too because my ankle is just now feeling bruised. I can't imagine wrecking in casual clothing...ouch.
