In 2008 a 250 Ninja rode with 3 of us to Columbus and we forgot what a 250 motor was like and she said she was hitting the limiter constantly just to be cruising with us. I slowed it down 5mph when she told me because I'm a nice guy. No point to this story, you just made me remember this and it made me smile.

I'll be 34 this October, but at 32 years old, I got a gun pulled on me on US35 highway here in Dayton. Some slouched down sideways gun holding wannabee gansta. Pissed me off, but I wouldn't have pulled my gun though since we both were in moving vehicles. Lots of the times the law wants you to prove that you used all available resources to get out of the situation before you pull your gun. I had a way to escape so I couldn't validate shooting him with no proof and in moving vehicles when there was an escape route. I do want my license though even though chances are I'll never use it, but it's nice to know it's there in case there's a time I have no escape route. I do agree with you though a bit Dubguy because some people are into guns because it makes them feel tough or "like a man". Some have complexes of many sorts that do.

I just remembered that last year I merged on US35 near my home and as soon as I got on the ramp I saw that it was at a dead stop. I told myself, "F that!". I rode the berm at about 20mph to the next exit. I was thinking to myself if I'm pissing anyone off, but nobody yelled, honked, or cut me off. It was 90+ outside and it was backed up for miles. I was NOT sitting on my hot bike for an hour when I can cruise 2 miles to the next exit. I got off the next exit and took another route other than the freeway to get to the countryside.

I see your point, but it also cuts back on traffic congestion. They had a big protest in Australia (2006) about this. Without bikes lane splitting the back-ups were RIDICULOUS! I'm all for splitting like other countries and California when in stopped traffic. There is a low speed restriction when doing it to keep it safe and if you open a door to get out you are fully liable because it is up to you be make sure no bike is coming, just as you are to look both ways when crossing the street. One type of vehicle doesn't own the road, cars, trucks, tractors at times, bikes, etc...all use them. Respect each other and the other persons vehicles capabilities. If someone else can go ahead and you don't like it...then learn how to ride if it bothers you that much.

Oh, I totally agree with you. Crap like that does need to stop. In my opinion "true bad people" are picked by opinions cuz we all have different definitions of true bad people.

That guy was in a full blown panic for sure! I got a little rush watching the video and just thinking about how much of a rush those guys got going past the block, then later sitting at home at night thinking how fucking crazy the day was. I agree that they're stupid for doing shenanigans in a huge group on a busy freeway, but I loved it when they blew the block and gtfo out of dodge. I just hope this shit doesn't go full blown viral and gets us famous all over the world via emails and forums. I hate that it was posted online.

I'll have to take him to the specific road that you went wahoooo while taking your helmet off at the next stop NEXT year or some other time when he's ready. I don't ride it too much even though it's fun and not heavily traveled, but it's a mid to high xxxmph road that is sooo wide and long sweepers. I won't do it with too many people unless they can ride well. I've rode it one time since I have with you David. Too bad it isn't a private road and I had all access to it. It's no where near the original rides and maps though.

There is another road that can be had too; not on the map but very close by, and that is Clarksville Rd just off of Oregonia Rd. I like that road.

Yeah, you need to be shown more. Clinton and mostly Warren county are the best close to our home. Oregonia, Clarksville, Blanchester, Waynesville, Ft. Ancient, Morrow, etc...
