  1. Worked and went out to lunch all over west Dayton. I hold my head high and avoid eye contact. Never got messed with, but I've been a victim of racism many times though. Funny though because I've never seen it the other way other than on TV. Today racism is reversed greatly. It's fucking stupid.

Btw, who cares if your work doesn't let you carry. I'd do it and I know many that do. Better to break the rules and be alive than follow them and be dead or stabbed. ;)

  2. I'm not even on blue03636's side of the argument, earlier I said go ahead and lower it but don't just slap the lowering link on and call it done. Take 10 minutes to google suspension geometry and read an R6 forum or something. Raise the front forks up/lower the triple clamps however much you lower the rear and it will be a lot better.

I'm no motoGP rider either, but I've been on my cousins improperly lowered R6 and it rode like crap. On the streets. At any speed. Even the straights. I lowered the triples on the forks for him, and it was noticably better.

    Agreed.

  3. When I had posted on another forum that I had stretched my zx14 I got the same bullshit replies everyone saying it was stupid and was going to ruin the handling blah blah blah.... Well I stretched it 6" which raised the rear about 3/16" which improved the handling. The ones saying it was going to ruin the handling had no experience with a stretched bike at all but they sure were certain it would ruin the handling. I rode my buddies '08 r6 before we lowered it and after we lowered it and there is no twitch, it doesn't wander, it isn't hard to push into a turn actually I think it handles a tad better now and now he can flat foot it and reverse it with ease. He said it even feels a little more planted on the highway that it doesn't feel like he gets pushed as much by wind from semis.

Many sportbike riders seem to spend the night at Holiday Inn Expresses a lot, if you know what I mean (see commercial).

  4. You notice how track only guys instantly come in when they see that thread title? Or many who like to think they use 100% of their bikes potential on the street. Dude, just do what you want. Don't ask things online for answers. Just spend the little cash it takes to get lowering links and just drop the rear 1 hole. Enjoy the bike that you can ride correctly after. ;)

I'm very much in support of Shitty's opinion too. Plus too many people worry about others bikes on here, but here's the thing...it's not their bike so they should give a fuck less. I don't get why either. I don't care about anyones bike but my own.

  5. Wouldnt hurt for her to take some self defense classes either. There are quite a few places in the area that can help with that. Pepper spray would definitely be a help for her.

On a side note, I told my wife about this and she said that is the exact reason she refuses to go shopping in any manner by herself.

:werd: My wife goes nowhere by herself to shop either. Her idea and I got no problem with it.
