  1. I go by the Elks when I go to Valley for oil filters. It's really neat to see them when they are close to the road. Do you know what they do with them? Do they sell the meat? I never see a sign about the business

  2. Had Battlax BT023's on my last FZ1 and they were great tires. Bridgestone is phasing them out to the new Battlax T30's. I know the Pony had a great deal on all the remaining BT023's to make room for the T30's.

I agree. I have had the 023gt's on the ST that seem to be a great comprise between wear and handling. So I just put a std 023 on the rear /t30 on the front on the Tuono, can't beat Iron Pony's prices right now.

But as far as plugging, I would not hesitate to plug a newer tire. I am a nail magnet and have plugged several tires thru the years and never had an issue. That being said, I recommend going the patch/plug route over the push in fiber plugs when possible

  3. I finally bit the bullet and bought a used zturn. I demoed and/or borrowed different makes before buying a Ferris. I have slopes/hills and a couple ponds and the full suspension seemed to hang very well. It was definitely more comfortable than the others (exmark-toro / scag / John Deere 975 )

If buying new was an option I may have went with the scag as it stuck on the hills better than all of them.

The pioneer series of exmark seemed to be a very nice compromise of quality and value for smaller yards/residential use.

On a side note, it cut my mowing time almost in half

Less time mowing = more time riding

  4. Recently bought a Bell rs-1 on clearance @ motorcyclecloseouts.com with an extra shield for $189 tyd.

Very happy with the helmet in all aspects. I feel that quality, fit, finish, comfort, etc is comparable with other helmets that I have owned by shoei(rf 1100)(x11),shark (rsr2) and arai (rx7).

Ventilation with rs-1 is noticeably better than any of the above helmets.

If you don't need a true long oval, I would give the bell rs-1 a consideration. Especially if money is an issue and you can find your size on closeouts

  5. I wonder if I could make these work for a project I've been thinking of lately

Trying to find or make something that I can put the VFR on the center stand and be able to move it around and so I can fit it in front of a car in the garage

    Let me know,

and who knows you may have more ambition than me as I have only been tripping over these in the garage for the past 4 years :)

  6. Came off my 02 Aprilia Mille but also fit the 07 Tuono. Probably fit others with hollow front axle and rear spools.

used and anodized off where rear stands contact

    $30 for set

    knox co.
