Well, if games and practices aren't on Mon-Wed nights and you decide to go co-ed, let me know. I'd like to play. I haven't played since highschool and I'm out of shape but I'd at least know what's going on.

guys only? not co-ed?

I didn't take any pictures but I think someone's else's wife did. I remember seeing her on the side of the road taking pictures. Hopefully she will share. There is this photographer that sets up and takes pictures and you can view them on his/her website and buy any pictures if you want them. www.zeefoto.com. It looks like they upload the photos weekly. I'll be looking out for our pictures to see how they turn out.

I've only been riding around for a couple of years but this was the BEST RIDE EVER! My husband and I went with a group of 10-12 bikes. They were all on cruiser but I really wanted to take those curves on my sportbike. I hauled mine down in the truck and everyone else road down on their bikes. I drove back last night because I just couldn't stand to miss a day at work today. Everyone else is heading back to Ohio this morning. We stayed at Pigeon Forge and Deals Gap was about 80 some miles away from there. After it was all said and done, I wish we would have stayed closer. I think we stayed in that area b/c of availability/pricing/bright lights We headed for 129 yesterday morning around 9:30 and got to the general area around 11:00. Gorgeous scenery. I was able to absorb it all traveling with all the cruiser at a slower pace. Just before we got the the beginning of the Tail, we broke into two groups. The first groups was for those who wanted to go faster and the second group was for those of us who wanted to go slower and/or if it was our first time there. I chose to go with the second group and my husband stuck with me to make sure I would be alright. How sweet! Sticking with the cruiser slowed me down alot, but for my first trip down there, I believe that was a good thing. I was able to give myself space to take some curves faster and that gave me quite a rush. No one in our group went down. There was a green Ninja zipping around us alot. I think he past us about 2-3 times as he went back and forth. We heard he eventually laid his bike down pretty bad. Once we all got to Deals Gap. We had lunch, blah blah blah. The rest of the group were going to continue on to Robbinsville and then go to some Skyway something something and then head back to Pidgeon forge. I broke from the group to head back so I could load my bike up and head back to Ohio. From Deals Gap, I took 28 to Bryson City to 19 to Cherokee to 441 up through Gatlanburg to Pigeon Forge. The 80 mile trip took 3 1/2 hours. I got stuck in a long line of cars going up 441. Going through Bryson City and Cherokee sucked. I should have went back the way we came! I have a lot of soreness in my hands and arms and it seems like my finger tips are still numb. I think all that was from getting stuck riding with all those cars through the Smokey Mountain National Park on 441 going through down hill curves at 15 mph for about 2 hours. Man that sucked! I won't do that again. Long story short, great trip! Ohio-Riders should organize an annual group trip down there!

ditto it's nice to be able to ride with a group. despite not having an agenda or a route, i think it all turned out well.....besides running into a little shit in the road.....(literally) i hope everyone made it home or to where ever there were heading safe and sound and i look forward to the next group ride.
-
my husband and i will be there. we'll be on our cruisers. i have pics of our bikes in the member bikes folder.
-
that's about what time i'll be there.
-
don't break your neck getting there. what kind of time line are you on? i'll let the folks know and we'll wait a little longer for you if you want.
-
I don't think so...all spontaneous and group decision when we meet up....I'd rather not ride too much on the highways before dark and would rather avoid back roads after dark because of deer or something.... but really don't have many suggestions. Since we'll be on the west side in the evening, we could travel galloway area to 104 and head south a little and then back up or galloway area into west jeff up to plain city dublin and then down riverside or something...whateva

I'm suppose to tell about me and whats going on in my life. Well, here you go. Im currently residing in a halfway house. Its not as glamorus as it may seem , I'm bunking up with John Voight and a guy who swears he's Ms.Cleo, yes, advisor to the stars, this guy is crazy as a box of shit but he can make mac and cheese so good it will make a fat baby fart. I've kinda been forced into moving here just coming back from my second tour in nam. I was a POW. I was held against my will for two years in a rice pattie. Those little yellow bastards really did a number on me. I lost my left leg, three fingers on my left hand and my right arm below my elbow. You try opening a can drink without hating on an asian. There are also mental scars as well. I cant stand being around loud noises or anyone that looks like William Hung without pissing myself. Don't get much sleep either, I'm having the same reoccuring dream of a shark eating Samuel Jackson, the damn shark ate him. But I cant put all the blame on them after I was released. I didnt sleep for 3 days because I went on a pcp binge with two Korean midgets which landed me in jail for two months. Even though it doesnt sound like anything I would do, the cops said something about a rude sexual act that involved a goat and a one eyed hooker. Since I've been back I haven't really tried to give up any of my addictions. Shooting up heroin is a daily thing and I love chilling with Lamont and One Eye Willy behind the bus station. They always have the coldest Wild Irish Rose in town. It's like Frosty the snowman is blowing sweet kisses down my throat. I'm trying to hold down a steady job but Wal-mart isn't really paying what I want and I hate sitting on the that little soap box they have for me. I feel like I'm a side show act. Plus if I have to say welcome to Wal-mart one more fucking time I'm going to kill some damn body. Plus my boss wanted me to start up a soccer team for my co workers and me to boost morale. Yeah asshole, I have one leg. But seeing what I did at my last job to get fired, I'm happy to have one at all. Who knew I couldn't use the bathroom to record a movie starring a blind girl, two german sheperds and alot of baby oil, fuck Colonel Sanders , ya dick. I have some side projects going but they aren't really hitting on shit right now. I'm going to try to get back into tv or movies. Before the war, I was an extra on Saved By The Bell, The College Years, I was in the last episode of the Fall Guy and I did a Stove Top Stuffin' commercial. My manager says they're wanting someone for a lead role as a midget in Gullivers Travels, so im keeping my fingers crossed and just hoping for the best. Anyway, I'm going to go get some new shoes today. They better give me them bitches half off or at least sell me two right ones. Despite all the bad things that have happened to me, I'm not bitter. So if you see me walking by with a tear drop in my eye look away oh yes, baby look away. and yes....I have too much time on my hands........but seriously....... The truth is.... I'm 29 years old, born and raised in North Carolina. I've been living in Ohio since 1998. I still don't understand this buckeye madness, but oh well. My husband Mark and I have been married a little over a year now. He is the better half. Don't judge him by my character No kids, just pets. Before the company I work for got bought out, I did IT work, primarily DBA and EDI. Now I just sit here and get dumber everyday. Same pay, less work, I ain't gonna complain! I've decided it is time to go back to school and finish up that degree and get up to par on what's going on in the IT world before anyone in payroll notices me and fixes any glitches. I grew up playing poker with my family and friends and I always enjoy a good game either live or online. I don't really care to be on TV or win anything major. I don't dedicate what it takes to be able to play at that level anyway. Who knows! Besides, I enjoy taking the local money to supplement my income ha ha. If I'm not in class, not at work, not playing poker, or not at work playing poker and the weather is nice, I like to ride around on my motorcycle. I have a CBR600RR and a VStar 1100 Classic. One bike to zip around on and another to just go cruising on.

bahahahahaha....go figure! What's up my nigga? excuse me if i offend honkeys or brotha's. i apoligize in advance. it's because i grew up in this gray area being a chink and all...after all those years of filling out questionaires...black? white? other? wtf? OTHER? i have since learned to deal with the mental anquish. i've married a honkey and sometimes if i tan too much and get a bad perm, i can blend into the million man march.

my husband does something with our batteries so they don't die over the winter.....i wanna say something like trickle charger? we bought some at sears a couple of years ago for $20-30 bucks. i'll find out for sure and edit my stupid post if i'm wrong if and no one corrects me before then. i just ride the fuckers, mark maintains them :0)

SHUT THE F*CK UP, HONKEY!

For folks who read this at the last minute and decide to join...How long will you wait for riders to join at Iron Pony and how long should we wait at HNW? 30-45 minutes?
-
I don't see why not. It sounds like we've got a few guys and a couple of gals including myself. I've never met anyone on the forum and this will be my first group ride organized on this forum. I reckon there's no set ending time so part from the group and call it a night whenever you're ready. I know I am not going to stay out until the ass crack of dawn. I'm doing a charity ride up north eary Saturday morning.

I'm dressed casual cause I had to ride into work. Wasn't too bad of a ride and wasn't chilly at all. It's suppose to be a warm one today. I'm a conservative driver so I don't often leather up. I'm typically just a helmet and gloves gal. I work about 10 minutes from there so I'll be there well before 5:30. I'm on my '03 yaller cbr300r. My names Pattie. I'm vietnamese with a chunky butt so I stick out in a crowd of honkies. Come on up to me and say hello, otherwise, I don't want to look like a handytard introducing myself to people who don't know what the hell I'm talking about. It wouldn't be a bad idea to not ride around Columbus around 5:00 but traffic was unusualy light this morning so it might not be so bad this evening because of the 3 day holiday weekend. I'm sure we'll figure something out when we're all together. Maybe ride around, grab a bite to eat, raid a card room or something :0) See all y'all this afternoon!
-
i've a yaller 03 too!

Hmmm...I can meet you guys between 5:00/5:30 at Honda Northwest motorcycle dealership (http://www.ohiomotorcycle.com/) in Hilliard off of Fishinger Road and we can go from there. It's right off of 270 on the west side of Columbus and it's easy to find. I'll pm you my cell #.
-
blind leading the blind here, huh? oh well. I live close to Springfield and work in Columbus. I'm familiar with the area so whatever is cool.
-
I work on the west side of Columbus in the 70 and 270 area. Are you guys planning on riding around Columbus through the city or riding back roads outside of town?
-
where could i join you guys after 5:00/5:30?

I think you mentioned this before and I am going to highly recommend that you take some sort of motorcycle riding and safetly class. I took a class throught the Ohio Department of Safety. http://www.motorcycle.ohio.gov/ The classes fill up fast but if you are under 18, I think you get priority admittance and it's probably even free. Otherwise it was $20-25 and it's worth every penny. I had never driven a motorcycle before, I took the class, got my endorsement the following monday, bought my CBR600RR the following Saturday and haven't had any issue that I didn't learn how to handle from the class. Buying a 250 wouldn't be a bad idea. I chose not to because I knew that I would want a bigger bike sooner than later and felt more confident about buying a 600 after taking the riding and safety class. I am happy with my CBR600, I scared the crap out of myself when I first tried to take my husband's busa for a spin , and I am happy with my VStar1100. I've yet to see how his RoyalStar feels. I think it's a 1300 or something and I feel like it's kinda too heavy for me BUT ANYWAY... Sit on a couple of different bikes, see how they feel and how well you balance on them. Like someone else said before, you shouldn't have a hard time selling a 250 after you buy one and you are ready to upgrade.

My husband and I are going down to deals gap. We're leaving early Sunday morning. He's riding his cruiser down and I'm hauling my CBR in the truck...maybe even pull the trailer and take my cruiser too...who knows. He's staying through Tuesday but I'm heading back home Monday night because I have to work Tuesday and I have class that night as well. Neither of us have been there before. I hope we have fun and make it out alive and/or without too much damage :0)
