  1. The bike was flawless, I figured it was only a matter of time. Someone got it for a steal considering the year, new tires, etc. That thing was practically brand new. One less bike to have to lug south with me
  2. I thought so, her....not so much. $1,000. And it's an "as is" no warranty implied situation. All sales are final at that point because she's going to be pissed and I'm not going anywhere near her. I have to warn you though, the bike is lower maintenance and will cost you alot less in the long run.
  3. I have a 2003 Ninja 500 with a little over 7,600 miles for sale. Bike is blue and silver and has a blacked out windshield. Bike has new tires (with less then 50 miles on them), Fender eliminator, Integrated rear tail light (with turn signals in the tail light itself), and small turn signals up front that conform to the bike. Bike also has new plugs, coolant, brake fluid, and oil change done not too long ago. I bought the bike about a year and a half ago and have only put about 50 miles on it since then. I bought the bike from an older gentleman who used it in city to save on gas and I had originally planned to do the same but have a bigger sports bike and the 500 just sat. The bike has always been garage kept, maintained regularly, kept on a battery tender, and has never been abused or wrecked. The bike does have some minor scratches on one of the pipes from the original owner, but is otherwise a great looking bike. I am moving out of state and already have two other bikes that I am going to have to take with me, so this one has to go. Title is clear and in hand, $2,600 or best offer. I am more then reasonable when it comes to offers so long as you don't low ball me. Will consider throwing in the girlfriend too depending on offer. Feel free to post here or give me a call to come take a look at it. Daniel

    03/22 Ride

Would have been in but my rear brake keeps going out....Not sure if it's the brake cylinder or what... When I get it fixed I'll come back out of hibernation and start being social again.
  5. I'm sorry, did someone need something?
  6. Tank sealant, you can pick it up from Iron Pony. I had to do that on an old 84 vf500 I have. Easy, cheap, and works like a charm.
  7. May God be with him and his family at this time. Rest in Peace.
  8. And by pig you mean......Not so fast you're afraid to ride it? Or maybe you meant not a street legal race bike. My mistake. Oh, and for future reference, good luck finding almost any good condition 03 for under 4 thousand during riding season, let alone an already over priced Yamaha (note the use of "good condition" in that sentence). If he wanted a gsxr, he would be asking for opinions on a gsxr, not a "pig" and a "hoolie". I will give you the carburated comment though. If you are going to choose between two bikes, I would talk to people who have actually owned those bikes. I can give you my opinions on a busa, but I've never owned one so what relevance is that going to have to the question at hand? I ran a 10.89 in the quarter, I don't have to pay for the insurance of a liter bike, I can keep up with almost any modern day 600, and I can ride incredibly long distances without having to stop every 2 hours. How much more do I really need? If you think that you are going to end up upgrading to a liter bike anyways, and are an experienced rider, I would go for the z1000. What sense is there getting a 600 just to sell it a season down the road for the larger bike? Test ride both, figure out which one suits your needs best, and make an educated decision from there.
  9. That's what I'm wondering.....The 600r that he is looking at is fuel injected, has a fully adjustable suspension, deltabox frame, is pretty damn fast for a first bike.....It's pretty much a tuned down r6 that is race worthy and you can still go long distances on. What's so "yesterday's tech" about that? Because they don't have your wrists in pain and ass in the air going boy racer? Is that it?
  10. Why? The only thing I can think of is not having digital gauges. Expound on your statement.
  11. I'll be at shell at 7.
  12. Ah, I didn't know the cop was still there.
  13. Fucccccccck that. Not unless I have to. If it's a last resort situation get ahold of me, but without a lift it's a huge pain in the ass on a RWD.
