I believe they have to have a sign saying that if the tab isn't closed, they'll charge $_____ fee. Now, with a few bars they post a hold to see if the funds are availible supposedly. And if they in fact physically swiped your card on a debit card, you're kinda fucked in that case.

Same happened to me @ the Clubhouse in Dallas. They had some $350 holding fee, when my tab was maybe $85 or so. Pissed me off to a point, but took around 3-4 business days to clear out.

There's about a million different definitions of "street car" to "streetable" to "street legal".
