No more dangerous than any combat MOS, other than you get a great M9 pistol vs. having a rifle. Only allowed to defend yourself and the wounded you're treating. It's a good field to be in, not to mention lots of special operations possibilities.

Here's the current Army pay scale. http://www.militaryfactory.com/military_pay_scale.asp On top of that there's extra pay like BAH (Housing) BAS (food), separation pay if away from wife, and a few other extras. All federal holidays are your holidays (4 day weekends rock).

Back then wasn't a volunteer army like it is today. Contrary to what some people say, it is still volunteer only. The military by far is the easiest, but can be the most stressful job in the world. I couldn't have had an easier job in my life. The pay wasn't amazing, but I didn't pay for housing, food, nor did I pay taxes on anything purchased on post. It sure has made me appriciate everything I've got, and the freedom I have to do what I want now. But I do miss being in full-time still, things were clear cut, and not a lot of BS to deal with.

The kids weren't exactly in the right. But the man did over step his boundaries for self-defense. A mental screening would have done nothing in this situation what so ever. Each individual operates different in times of distress, danger, etc...

Pre-94' Brady bill weapons are not registered, along with many others bought at gun shows. Registration is honestly BS, the background check is good enough. It's on the form: Any history of mental illness.

Yes, but not allowed in the combat MOS field.

I have a blast on here when the threads get hot. I'd rather see real people talk, than the clowns on tv as you pointed out.

We see even Mr.Marx's original system failed.

The college money is good. Active GI Bill runs about $1,450/month. I've got $48K to use towards school, and have 10 years to use it up. Now if you didn't want to go full time, look into the guard. Ohio pays 100% in state tuition, you'll probably walk away with a $10-15K bonus, and the GI Bill. Granted the National Guard GI Bill, will net you around $600-800/month into your pocket for school. It depends on if you want to do the military thing 24/7 or just one weekend a month, 2 weeks a year kinda thing.

There's a lot of government departments that serve no purpose, yet spend money. Here's the list just of agencies that start with A. Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Administration for Native Americans Administration on Aging (AoA) Administration on Developmental Disabilities Administrative Committee of the Federal Register Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts Advisory Council on Historic Preservation African Development Foundation Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Agency for International Development Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry Agricultural Marketing Service Agricultural Research Service Agriculture Department (USDA) Air Force Alabama Home Page Alabama State, County, and City Websites Alaska Home Page Alaska State, County, and City Websites Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (Treasury) Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Bureau (Justice) American Battle Monuments Commission American Forces Information Service American Samoa Home Page AMTRAK (National Railroad Passenger Corporation) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Appalachian Regional Commission Architect of the Capitol Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (Access Board) Archives (National Archives and Records Administration) Arctic Research Commission Arizona Home Page Arizona State, County, and City Websites Arkansas Home Page Arkansas State, County, and City Websites Armed Forces Retirement Home Arms Control and International Security Army Army Corps of Engineers Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Interagency Coordinating Committee Atlantic Fleet Forces Command - I'm sure we can trim some of those agencies.

I'll say CR has a quite diverse way of thinkin/views/political opinions. I'd rather watch this section that anything on TV, there's some threads I can't stop laughing about at times.

Best decision is do something that you can utilize as a civilian. The most exiting, high speed, ground pounding jobs, aren't the ones that will help you if you choose to get out. MP's honestly are just like civilian cops, just looked down upon. Nobody on post will like you, it's an under appriciated job in the active world to say the least. What's your plans for college or tech training? That's one thing to think of. I was (in the Guard now) active Army for about 4 1/2 years as a 12B or 21B combat engineer. We were no more than glorified bullet sponges, with demolition. We were expected to be better than the infantry boys, and twice as leathal with the demolition aspect. I still love the job, and would never trade my MOS. The only thing is, it didn't help me for shit when I ETS'd out. I held a skill that isn't sought after in the civilian sector. Armored vehicles, weapons and explosives aren't the kinds of things employers look for. If you have questions on the army, I'll be blunt and honest. There's no shame sitting behind a desk for a few years, to make a great living when you get out. Just think about what you want out of it, what kind of benefits you're looking for, and what job you really want. The jobs recruiters toss your way, are the MOS slots they have to fill. Don't buy into them, 90% is total bullshit. Recruiters are worse than used car sales men. PS- If you go active army, go ahead and place your life on hold. Out of my 4 years, about 19 months was spent overseas if that says anything. The rest of the time was mostly spent training up, and going to the field. If you're not wanting to go to Iraq, Afghanistan, or anyplace else, don't plan on signing up.

You don't see the right-wing "whackos" out in the streets protesting. You won't see the right-wing nutjobs in your face on the street trying to push their influences on you. Last week after coming back from a drill weekend, a friend of mine and I were approached by the Obama clan on campus. I had these filthy college kid liberals, who probably never voted once, try to tell me while I was in uniform, that I worked for a criminal. That, their Obama would do more for the military, and pull us from Iraq etc etc. This never sat well with me, for I almost ended up plastering his long haired, hippie ass all over the brick building he was outside of. If you want to hear some whacko crap, go on campus and hear the Obama camp talk to you.

#1.) No way shape or form was that a "planned" implosion on a building. Since the building is made of mostly re-inforced steel beams, it would take the equivalent of C4 (Comp B, PETN etc.) to actually cut the beams. Since C4 is mainly a cutting charge, there would have been a large amount used. Being that I know C4 like my hand, C4 (and equivalents) give off a flash before you hear the boom. At no time did I ever see any flashes coming from inside the building. I've done everything from exploding structures, to imploding structures. Same result is, primary flash before a sound is ever heard. #2.) Look at how the buildings fell. The sheer weight from the top caused it to fall in upon itself. Both of the planes were damn near full of fuel when they hit. I believe it took atleast closer to an hour before any building fell. Now when you place jet fuel, on top of extremely flammible objects like wood, paper, carpet etc.. I have a feeling that fire was fed well above the 2000F mark. #3.) Sounds like that fag Michael Moore. To even think our country would do a thing like this, is unspeakable. I won't comment any further on this.

 We had a gallon jug of Frank's and Texas Pete with us at all times. That's the only way true army food don't taste like an ass salad.

I have hair that runs from head to toe. I turned the treasure trail, into the treasure 6 lane highway. Damn Germanic blood

Start doing a half down deposit set up. If you've got someone's money, they're more inclined to make sure they show. It works.

Sounds like the extractor rod on the cylinder. (the metal rod looking thingy, that pops the bullets out of their holes.) Reason I ask about rounds is, +P ammo (the hi-power ammo) might have knocked the cylinder out of alignment. Too powerful of ammo has the tendency to jack up stuff. I had hot loaded .357 hollow points, that over expanded in my cylinder causing me to use a hammer/screw driver to get them out.

Radiator shopping, 87-93 Mustang equivilents?
Scotty2Hotty replied to Science Abuse's topic in Tech and Tips
I think BeCool was making the Jegs radiators if I'm not mistaken. It's a nice set up. Are you regulated on fans, or additives in the radiator?
