1. At first I could pull the pedal back but now she's stuck like glue to the floor. It's got some feel and will come back a lil bit, but other than that, that's bout it for it. Car itself will not move now, well it will but it starts off moving when in first gear  Just annoys me it al of a sudden happens, but ohh well that's life. Peace-SCott
2. I know it's a hydraulic clutch I'm sure. I never noticed it slipping, BUT the day it happened the pedal stuck to the floor a couple times and when I was at a stoplight, I went to release the clutch like normal when takin off from a red light and as I barely took my foot off the clutch it engaged itself. Not too sure what is up but the car doesn't feel like starting now :( BUT I'm pretty sure I am not going to be driving that car for much longer. Wednesday I'm gonna go buy myself something new, but I have to make up my frakin mind AGAIN :D Thanks guys I'll see what I can do. I was gonna take it apart, but my garage is full. Peace-SCott
3. Just a question to the honda gurus of the board. The accord I am selling felt like being a retard and the clutch pedal is now stuck to the floor. NOW my SPECULATIONS are that it's the throw out bearing, and or the clutch is gone. The pedal itself is stuck to the floor and when starting up the car in first gear it feels like moving itself. I think the clutch is half ingadged and disengaged. I'm not sure at this time, but any speculations are helpful. I'm thinkin befoer I sell the POS, I'll just pop in a centerforce or ACT and drive the piss out of it :D Anywho thanks for any help. Peace-SCott
4. For imports I am thinkin JUN, and crower off the top of my head makes some good cams. An H23 turbo set up is the way to go when it coems to the Honda motors. The non-VTEC 2.3 liter is one of the biggest if not the biggest, on top of it not being VTEC it shouldn't interfer with the whole VTEC switch over to the higher reving cam profile. Good luck with the mods. Peace
5. I was thinkin that the T-birds switched over to modualar power earlier than the stangs but I wasn't sure what year they did cause the Lincoln Mark8 switched over early to a DOHC 4.6 modular power. My bad I know more bout stangs than T-birds, but I love the birds and the supercoupes own too. Too bad they never mnade an SVT birdy that could pop low 13's stock. Ford also made a blown 5.0 ranger back in 93 along with the F150 lightning and went through their PR department and the Lightning had more appeal so they made it instead of a vortec blown ranger, the ranger would've owned I'd say most cars/trucks on the street. Ohh well that's the blue oval for ya :D peace
6. Didn't 94-95 birds come with God's gift to the blue oval a 5.0 302 cubic inch EFI V8? :D I'd go the 5.0 route myself, then pop in a AOD or C4 :D The 5.0 just pop the same bolt ons you would to a mustang aka SN95 or Fox body and you can crank out some numbers. Peace
7. Always heard from everyone on honda society roll with the NON-VTEC platform if wanting to run a turbo, depending on boost kick down compression, forged pistons, boost controller yada yada. But on the non-VTEC it's true the higher band cam doesn't have the switch over point where it goes into the high RPM's. But you still can turbo a VTEC motor. I say roll with a kit not a custom fabbed turbo. Kits are a lot easier, so roll with the greddy like IRIA said or I'm thinkin of a place in florida that sells all out kits too and they said some stage kit their civic went 12's. something to look into. Peace-Scott
8. The 3.0 V6 VETC motor in the 5th generation accords more than likely WOULDNOT fit in, plus they're not amazing for aftermarket goodies and makin a lot of power. The H22 for the 4th generation accords is perfect. Preludes/Accords, were very similar. AN H22 is a very well fitting motor, that will give power and also BUNCHES of aftermarket goodies. ZC is a 1.8 from an older integra, plus the car came stock with the F22 2.2 SOHC non-Vtec. An LS motor would be OK, but still too small for that car.

I have a '90 2 door accord LX and would like to replace the engine. I have grown up replacing same type engines but never put an engine in that was not the same. I would like to put a newer and more powerful engine in. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I can put in it?

Well the F22 you have in it now it's not amazing, but OK. A newer more powerful engine would be the H22A, which is a 2.2 liter DOHC VTEC motor out of the prelude. The US versions come round 195 horsepower give or take, not bad and can pick them up used from 2,500$ to around 3,500$. That's with your transmission and ECU. Also another motor of choice to drop into the 4th generation accords are the H23 which is a 2.3 liter DOHC non-VTEC motor that will pt out around 170HP (all flywheel ratings of course). You could step up another notch and go with the full JDM japanese spec prelude SiR motor the H22A VETC, that'll kick out I think around 210 or so horsepower. I think these motors are actually a cable transmission and the ECU's are different, but I heard the motors scream. Talk to Berto (Accordood) or me, I can't say i am very interested anymore, but at one time I was, so I know a few things. MOST of these motors are direct fit in, but install kits with motor mounts and what not are needed. So if ya got anymore questions ask the import guys, I guess I am one of em' :D Peace-S

10. Really nice :D I'm still workin it out with my cousin to see how I am gonna do it. I want it streetable and yet still makin the power. I always used to hear conflicting stories of AMC's being close to mopars, my fault :D I hope to own this car here soon. It WAS a strong runner back in it's days of bracket racing, SO I think it'll be a very nice street car. IF I had a digital camera I'd put up pics, I hope to soon, i'll go hit up Chris :D Thanks I shall let you know here soon, I wanna get started on it.
11. He's also got the dana 60 with 4.10's in it now. I knew no "aftermarket" company made heads for em, I was just wondering seeings how we have a few people that work at various parts stores, if they knew. I'll try to get a pic and send it to ya, it's not bad.Thought it was something different and it's quick as is, but I know can be a lot faster.
12. I can't say I am the AMC king my cousin is, he owns the car and it's been sittin for 3 years. It's an SST and is a 390 with a 727 Torquefly. Car did, low 12's pretty much nuthin done, BUT I wanna improve on it so, I'm probably gonna think of porting the original heads even more. my cousin soon will have 3 AMX's and 2 javelins if that means he's not an AMC fan :D It's cool though, it's a quick car and I always watched him race it growing up. later-S
13. I was gonna say if you're doing it yourself than I have a spring compressor someplace :D I may have someone on the westiside that will do it. It's called Extreme automotive, they do good work, and Ido suggest struts they work miracles. Peace-S
