I think he put the water larding thing into perspective from a different stand point. Not to mention, I think his experience looked a bit more on the realistic scenario side aswell. I was never saying waterboarding was easy, but different people react in different ways. Being mentally strong tends to help greatly when put into a situation like that. Hard to break someone mentally strong when it comes to "torture" and the various techniques employed. For instance, Sen McCain spent many years at the Hanoi Hilton being brutalized by the Vietnamese. He talks about staying mentally strong to help endure the situation.

Is there a Gen 5 rebuild kit? I figured after 90K, the internals could be replaced. Not looking to run 12's (granted, a low 14/high 13 would be ideal).

I get cost on K&N, MSD, NGK etc... Only reason I was going to slap those parts on. I figured since it'll need some service done here sooner than later, might aswell toss the performance goodies on it. I looked at the ClubGP thread last night and there was a nice bit of info. Boils down to about what Hal mentioned. It's similar to people and their tolerance for pain. Take MMA fighters for instance. They beat the ever living shit out of themselves, but still keep fighting. There's a mental level involved with any kind of torture. Psychological Operations thrives on mentally messing with our enemy. When you break the mind, the body will follow.

I agree that those who have trained could endure it no matter what. But, I think a huge part is the mental game. Just like those that can ignore pain, there are some who could ignore and endure this with mental control. It's like ignoring cold or heat in a small way. If you don't focus on the situation, it only helps you stand your ground.

Never tried it out, but it looks more annoying than anything. It's different in a controlled environment vs Reality. It's a viable means of getting to someone who is mentally weak. I can see when one is focused on the water and the drownding fear, one would crack. To me, it just looks very annoying. Like someone sticking their finger in your belly button, which I hate.

K&N CAI My question is, is the Catted down pipe worth it? Also, instead of changing the blower oil, I was debating on just replacing the entire MP90 unit. Anybody have a ported stock blower or just a replacement unit? Is there an intercooler set up like the MP112's? Do I need to have the car tuned for a ported blower? This is a DD, but I wouldn't mind throwing a little more down to the ground and have it run a little cooler in these 100 degree days we get.

These "stock" cars fail. Nothing beats a Y3F package Z28 with stock exhaust. The RS and V6 bit is easy to foil people with.

I may boycott this season. I have to put up with these shitty Texas Longhorn fans anyways.
