  1. Maybe they are, but if you've seen the attention to detail Asanti puts into their product, and not to mention how light they really are, you'd be half impressed. I always thought, minus the 550 Maranello and partially the 288 GTO, most Ferrari wheels didn't fit it's $150K+ price tag.
  2. I've seen a few M14's like this myself. I know the plastic "heat shield" or upper hand guard is removed, but I can't remember how it attatches to the rear sight post. http://www.desertwarriorproducts.com/sitebuilder/images/Battle_Rail_2-428x117.jpg http://www.desertwarriorproducts.com/sitebuilder/images/Battle_Rail-429x210.jpg When I pick up the M1A Scout Squad I'm buying, this was the most considerable option I was going to go with besides the Troy stock system or the Sage EBR set up. Both of which, I'm not 100% crazy about. Edit- Attatches to the screw hole by the bolt catch. Like the old style scope mounts did.
  3. Don't get me wrong, you sounded like you were giving a pity party to criminals. Yes I understand what they go through. Is it tough? Hell yes it is. I've seen far worse than what these people have gone through, so I can't say I feel the slightest of sorrow for them. We were all stray dogs at one point from one place or another. Yes, the United States of America was founded by colonists and others that inhabited it. But, as any civilized country should have, we have laws in reguards to citizenship. If you don't do it legally like thousands do every year, get out. Or if you try to get here illegally, those doing so should be met with stiff resistance. I don't think illegal immigration is a party thing, it's a NATIONWIDE issue. It takes states like Arizona for instance, to have a pair of balls and step up. They got tired of their problem, so they acted upon it. Do we also need to do something about the welfare population? Hell yes we do, but atleast they're citizens of our country. It's time we think about ourselves for once.
  4. The way you were wording things sounded quite the opposite. And technically they are kind of coming and going as they please. No taxes, half don't have licenses, and not to mention, nobody seems to be blowing the whistle on these people. I agree 100% it's BS that these people end up with public aid paied for by US tax money.
  5. I personally like the Asantis! The stockers don't do it for me. Can't wait to see the other vehicles I heard about in the shop.
  6. There's no need to reward criminals. Illegally crossing the boarder is in the same reguards as any other crime as in stealing, breaking and entering, robbery etc.... These people go to jail, not get a free ride to their front door.
  7. Freedom isn't free, and that's the cold hard truth. It should piss you off being an American citizen, that we still have our own citizens without, but illegals can come in and do as they please. Doubt my kin folk of olden days would kick me in the nuts, because it's a cold hard fact. They should be coming in legally like damn near every other nationality. We've got people from all over coming in, but it seems the problem child is the country south of us. Also, I'm not too sorry for the lack of government in Mexico. It isn't our problem, but it seems we take a lot of it here. There's more human trafficking and drug trafficking than ever before. Not to mention it's more dangerous for our Federal Officers watching our boarders aswell. I'll donate a couple thousand a year for the barrier if it keeps what's unwanted, out.

  9. My ancestors came here legally and obtained citizenship. They didn't try to sneak in, or ILLEGALLY violate the boarders of the United States of America. I like Shawn am in the same mind set. They are illegal, get them out. I have no respect, nor simpathy for those that come in illegally. If these people attempted to go the right way of doing things, I have no problem.
  10. Looks great! Should be a hell of a shooter to say the least with the match barrel on it.
  11. Here's a few LWRC's in action: http://photos-c.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v329/74/62/1000132681/n1000132681_30151258_2286.jpg It's not the end all yet, but I think the Remington ACR is going to get some play in the SOCOM market aswell.
  12. That's the basic run down of the 416. Granted there's a few more improvements, but H&K isn't re-inventing Eugene Stoner's M16 by any means. The 417 is the 7.62mm version of the same rifle. Most SF operators I've seen are using the LMT CQB MK18's in the 10" cofiguration. Some of MARSOC is utilizing the 416's aswell. Each team is a little different, but you'll only see the 416 fielded in the Special Forces ranks so far. LMT MK18 http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt236/Scotty_Sapper/mk18-1.jpg
  13. He must have used the Hebrew Hammer.
  14. I never used to be one for the gym, but thanks to some time I have, I knock out a good 2-4 mile run daily before a workout routine. It's amazing what cardio can do in a little bit of time. I was drinking Gatorade protein shakes twice a day as my meals, which helped out quicker than a supliment. I went from the 240's to now right at 200 even, but I'm trying to lean out to my former 185-190 range. The cardio side and a little bit of P90X has been a good ass kicker, but my energy level has gone through the roof.
  15. Deal, I'll have a few AR's to break in along with some handguns aswell. Felt I should drop a few rounds with it before purchasing. Seems like it would be an excellent side arm for varmit hunting too.
  16. I've heard that too. I'm on the fence about it for that reason, but the PDW type rifle cartridge intrigues me, and the accuracy is spot on I hear. Guess I'll have to just go shoot one to decide if the $1K price tag is worth it. BTW, I'm extremely jealous of you right now. If I end up in Texas next year, I'll have to get out west more.
  17. How's the Five Seven shoot? Got anything with that yet? Think I'll be picking one up in September.
  18. Cooler the size of a coffin filled with ice and water. (Not to mention, it also substitutes as a place to put severed limbs if necessary.) The worst had to be 6+ hour patrols, on top of 48+ hour missions sitting in a M2 Bradley with nothing but the heat off the 903ci Cummins V8 on top of the scorching sun. Still have to admit, heavy labor in 90 degree heat is also the fucking suck.
  19. Wearing body armor in 130+ degree heat with NO A/C was never fun. I'm glad I'll never have to go through that again. At 7,000+ foot in elevation, we got up around 98 the other day. It'll probably only reach around 105 to 110 though.
  20. Come to the middle east, you'll experience smells you never wanted the displeasure of smelling.
  21. Wouldn't suprise me if he takes control of the NRA atleast. To my "Commander in Chief" - I want my raise - Stop openly talking about combat operations - I want the 3% President Bush gave us for a raise - I don't like your name - General Order #1 is utter horse shit - Smack Pelosi - My health care was just fine PS- I want my money back.

  24. Hells yeah! Never got it for some reason: scottyls1@yahoo.com Couldn't pass on $300 for a fully assembled lower, so I had the old man pick up 2.
  25. Only downfall is the 5.56 powder burn off with the shorter barrels I am jealous of the special boys carrying their little 10" M4s around.
