  1. I'd be inclined to build an SBR over doing a pistol, but that looks like a fun weapon.
  2. As the title says, anyone currently running one on their AR? I'm mostly just looking for feedback on anyone running the gas piston set up. My dad picked up 2 complete lowers for me, so one is getting a piston upper. Right now it's between LMT and LWRC piston uppers. Didn't know the required maintanance on the piston itself, if it requires lubrication or like the current gas tube set up, you mostly worry about the bolt.
  3. Growing up, Dukes of Hazzard by far was a show I religiously followed. Let alone the theme song in the begining, along with the General Lee.......it'll never be copied. > * Recent shows, I used to love JAG, but NCIS and The Unit kind of stole their place in my TV watching.
  4. Can't wait to see! The forcast there sounds exactly like the weather here in Afghanistan. I'd personally love to see what .17 Reminton Fireball would do to a jackrabbit.
  5. Been there done that Funny thing is I do have 2 positions that Boarder Patrol is holding for me if I so choose to take it. One is in Texas and the other is in Arizona somewhere. The job is looking more tempting as the boarder gets more interesting.
  6. Uncle Sugar's military is way too strung out to begin with, I don't think we need another fucking mission to add to the plate. Boarder security and the overall boarder falls under Homeland Security. It deffinately is the Federal government's job to insure our boarders are safe and secure. Granted, I think there are a few National Guard units that could help out due to the availible equipment (IE Calvary Scouts w/ LRAS3). I already know the 82nd Airborne has sent around 3,000 joes to help out, but what can they can only do so much. The use of Predator UAV's is on the rise aswell, but Homeland in general has enough agencies that they should be able to tackle this on their own.
  7. AZ could and I believe are, but being that this is on a federal level, it'll require the federal government to activate them. There's a few National Guard units already on the boarder detail, but in this situation, I believe it calls for something a little more surgical. Drop an ODA team in there and let them do work. They'd be done sweeping that place out in a day or so. I'm in full agreement with the use of deadly force on the boarder. Along with the wall/fence, there should be a warning sign that warns of the use of deadly force. If the "infiltrators" still deam it necessary to cross, anything from tracer rounds to flares to star clusters should be used first. If they do not respond to verbal commands or the warning, then by the escalation of force, eliminate the target. Just by putting numbers at our boarder doesn't mean really anything. If these people are bound by political BS and other rediculous rules, we'll have the same outcome. I think the pressure needs to be put on the Mexican government for being utterly worthless. Their government should take full blame for not controlling their own land or people for that matter.
  8. Toyota is pretty rediculous over here and same in Iraq. You see tons of corollas, Hiluxs (Tacomas), Surfs (4 Runners), and a few Landcruisers in there too. Toyota does pretty good around the world for the most part.
  9. Brownsville,TX among a few other police departments, that have to deal with the boarder are pretty well armed now. Due to the increase of violence from that side of the boarder coming in now, I think rules need to change. But there are some other tools our country needs to start utilizing, for example: The LRAS3 for instance or Long-Range Acquisition Scout Surveillance System . I had one on my humvee in Iraq, and you can't hide from FLIR. http://images.businessweek.com/ss/08/08/0821_defense_stocks/image/7_lrass.jpg The detention and release system is a joke, so there needs to be a drastic measure of deterance for illegal entry into our country. There should be no rights given to them, other than basic needs. Illegals should all be considered hostile and dealt with accordingly. The Government was quick to act in Waco Texas, so what's the hold up here?
  10. 82nd Airborne is either in route or already at the boarder as we speak. There will be more on the way from what it looks like, but knowing the way things are in D.C, the Rules Of Engaugement (ROE) will be rediculous. Don't mind the fact that more than a few towns are controlled by a Drug Cartel, because it's innocent people that cross into our Country illegaly daily.
  11. Any diesel powered truck is a good idea for a daily in my book. You can drive it all year around, it'll tow more than you'll ever need it to, it'll run forever, and not to mention with the right bolt on basics, they'll easily do 20+ MPG on the highway.
  12. If I didn't have my eye set on this Baja 200 and needed the room, I'd be on it like white on rice Paul. You should drive it around Alum on a weekend with a FOR SALE sign on it. Wouldn't shock me if you got a buyer.
  13. What would you sell it for, if you wanted to?
  14. Hunting Taliban in the mountains with my own brand of US made Fireworks.
  15. I have to agree, as a symbol itself, it isn't racist. Granted a few state flags from the south still had a hint of the confederate flag and I believe atleast one still does. It has it's history deep in the roots of how our country came to be, no doubt. But non the less, it is also still utilized in another way too. I guess it's like anything in the world nowadays. Everyone is getting all butt hurt over simple words being used. I know racism as a whole isn't abolished from society, but it's not what it was even 40 to 50 years ago. Being "politically correct" seems to be the only way to be in society, or I should say is accepted. I'm pretty guilty of bashing those from middle eastern countries, and that's why some say I'll turn out to be Clint Eastwood's character from Gran Torino as an old man.
  16. Thanks for the info. The Seadoo's looked to be great little boats for what they are. Just starting off I can't say I want to step into a Challenger 230 quite yet. I used to go up to London on Lake Choctaw alot when I was younger, but I was usually driving a prop boat. I've been searching Craigslist and got a good idea as to what I'm looking at for the most part. No dount on the trailer practice, it's been a minute since I've trailered anything. Speaking of Jet Boats, maintanance wise, anymore or less than a prop boat? Is service time any cheaper? I know Sizzle Marine is about the only place I can think of that does Seadoo service.
  17. To complete this thrice, Thanksgiving isn't complete without a big ass Turkey!
  18. Hostess White Bread for peanut butter and jelly.
  19. Since I may end up in Texas, I could deffinately get the use out of it. Thanks Paul, I'll give that thread a look. If I weren't going to be buying other things, I could drop more, but being a first boat I'm in no hurry to get into payments.
  20. I've been looking at boats for sometime, but can't say I'm 100% on anything. But I was looking into the Seadoo Challenger 1800's or something between 18-21FT. Didn't know if anyone has had any of the Seadoo boats before, but for cruising around a lake for a weekend with a few people 2-3, I'm digging the Seadoos. But I was also looking for some other brands to look for aswell. I don't have a price range set in gold yet, but say on the higher end of things, closer to $10K.
  21. Thought this was going to be one of those, "I'm leaving Columbusracing because I'm butt hurt threads." It seems there is a small ounce of butt hurt left in the original purpose to the thread.
  22. Looks amazing! I love the teardrop hood, it really sets off the car. I'm assuming it's backed up by a C-6 tranny? I'd drive it til the wheels fell off, that's for sure.
